The north central is number 4 in terms of registered voters. To win the election, the north east and north west and southwest are most important. The majority in those places are muslims. Thats what informed Tinubu’s decision. In fact Atiku would have been too happy if Tinubu had made mistake to pick north central Christian as vice. Because Atiku will easily win north west and northeast. He will also pick substantial votes in north central and southsouth. He would easily win the election. The purpose of picking candidates is to win election, not for religious balance. Otherwise, of what benefit is picking a Christian candidate when he loses the election?
