Owon: Wow! So low and cheap, yet these greedy abokì people will sell it to us @1,300 and above.
Government is responsible for all these inflation and FX instability.
Give the Dollars to banks. Monitor and mandate them to sell to people who needs it.
It's ridiculous that one can't use the naira ATM cards to make any online foreign purchase as it used to be before. Government made access and demand for FX very difficult, yet they want the naira to appreciate.
The naira ATM card is extremely useless beyond Nigeria market and this is the main reason why people are desperate for dollars and will buy at any amount. You are very much behind in information gathering. They must not sell beyond 1173/$ to you now. But you can’t get physical cash. They pay directly into a bank account abroad. Banks are also selling forex but they must also pay to your account abroad. The rules have changed. |

Politics › Re: Petrol: Oil Marketers Propose N550/litre Price To Dangote by drlateef: 11:45am On Apr 08, 2024 |
rinzaugustine: Lol..let us view this with common sense. Tinubu said he increased Nigeria oil production to 1.5m bpd. Nigerian oil, Venezuela etc is known as sweet crude and one of the best in the world. The aim of dangote building a refinery was to receive crude from Niger delta, refine it and make fuel, kerosene and diesel cheaper than imported ones and save Nigeria trillions of naira in loss to petroleum importation. Why would same dangote now need a large chunk of the country’s foreign exchange to import petroleum products from overseas at rates subsidized by FG for a completed refinery, similar to what petroleum marketers have done in the past more than 20 years? What you don’t understand is that the subsidy cabal in NNPC has been frustrating Dangote from lifting crude oil from Nigeria. Until Dangote deals with them by buying from abroad, they will not relent. When they see that price of petrol is low and the product is available, they will realise the game is up. They cannot sabotage Dangote anymore. Then they will sell directly to him. |

And your ignorance about current state of affairs is seriously sickening. Hatred will never open your eyes. Kasalagoburst: I read somewhere in the Quran - Verse 47 of Surah Al-Ma'idah, (5:47), states, "And let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, then it is those who are the defiantly disobedient"
So are you saying Allah is wrong about his revelation? The Gospel or Injeel is a revealed book, not the handwritten ones by Paul. |
Politics › Re: What Is The Update On Port Harcourt Refinery by drlateef: 6:06pm On Apr 07, 2024 |
Blaze14k: On April 7, 2021 nnpcl signed a contract with tecnimont spa to rehabilitate port harcourt refinery worth $1.5 billion. The refinery which is undergoing an upgrade will begin by processing 60,000 barrels per day bpd, and nnpc expects to operate at the full capacity of 210000 bpd later this year. The current managing director of nnpc Mele Kyari also told the Senate that over 450, 000 barrels of oil had been stocked into the Port Harcourt refinery. It's been 3 weeks now since he announced that the refinery will start production in 2 weeks time. This is a critical part of the economy which should be dealt with matter of urgency.
Why is nnpc delaying the production of refine crude in port harcourt refinery? We need to ask the right questions instead of defending this government all the time. I am sure Tinubu is on the neck of Mele Kyari asking him similar questions. NNPC never wants any refineries to be resuscitated. Because they have been feeding fat on subsidy money. But Kyari knows that Tinubu is impatient and will fire him if he does not deliver. |

Tell Tinubu to organize an election where the IREV will be shutdown again.
Tell them to organize an election where a girl in the bathroom will be uploaded as a result.
Tell them to organize an election where numbers will be tipexed and canceled like where nursery school children wrote something.
Tell them to try it and know if Nigerians will wait for court. Mtcheww!!!! Nigeria is not a banana republic. We have processes to redress the problem. Go to court and show your evidence. Obi didn’t do that. Atiku didn’t either. |

Dpharisee: Building a railway hub at Abuja Airport is misplacement of priority by previous Govts, why not build it at Gwagwalada or Abaji, how many passengers will disembark from an international flight and wait one hour for a train to take them to city centre when he can pay N7000 to registered taxi operators or Uber. Meanwhile thousands of workers, traders and students commute daily from Abaji and Gwagwalada to the city and there is no railway terminus for them, the airport railway shouldn't have come first before the masses.
Wike has done well for ensuring that its completed despite the above points That’s how you find it in most developed countries. All airports in UK has a rail system near to them. Yes he can extend the rail to busy areas but the airport is very important to link up. |

olisaEze: "Valued at over $200 million, according to Onwuanibe, the Landmark site is home to over 80 businesses and provides more than 4,000 direct jobs. It also generates over 2 billion Naira ($1.5 million) in annual tax revenue"
They’re prepared to lose $1.5 million annually in tax and 4000 jobs in these hard times. Why, because Tinubu and his all Yoruba advisers are real dullards who will not stop until they see the country in ruins. Even the CNN reporter is shocked! Funny thing there is, they think they’re dealing with the Igbos, but I bet over 50% of those 4000 jobs sent into the unemployment market will be Yoruba. Please shut up. You are the real dullard. At what cost? That’s the question you should ask if you are not a dullard. That road project will most like attract more jobs than the whole of that resort. Secondly the multiplier effects of the road on Nigerian economy is far far greater than the $200 million resort. Several millions will use the road daily. The effect on the economy is uncountable. That’s how wise people think. |
Politics › Re: Will Nigerians Wait To Be Told “Go To Court” If 2027 Election Is Rigged? by drlateef: 7:31pm On Apr 05, 2024 |
Penguin2: Believe it or not, the outcome of the 2023 presidential election will forever remain controversial especially after INEC turned off the IREV and shut down every transparency in the management of the result of that election. In the end, ‘losers’ were told to “Go To Court” in a manner that seemed like mockery.
However, the ‘losers’, and indeed all Nigerians, held up hope and believed that the judiciary will correct what ill they observed during the election especially when you consider that INEC failed to keep to letters of both the Electoral Act and their Guidelines but alas, the judiciary arrived at a judgment they said was the right decision but I doubt majority of Nigerians agree with them.
Now, having seen that INEC is not likely to obey their own rules and that the judiciary may not give a judgment acceptable to many, do you think Nigerians would have the kind of patience they had last year should the 2027 elections be rigged or would they rather resort to self help? I know this is the mindset of zombediots. The alternative you are calling for is civil war. And you will get your wotowoto. Obi and Atiku were given plenty of opportunity to provide their figures which makes them think they won. They were not able to do so. You think your party members are sizeable in number to overwhelm us? |
