The president then ended his speech thus "... govs were given re-election tickets or allowed to choose their successors..." and so, " ...I wish to solicit the reciprocity and support of the Governors and other stakeholders in picking my successor, who would fly the flag of our party for election into the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023".

The above statement effectively sealed Tinubu's fate, Why, because if a primary is held today without the president anointing his candidate, Tinubu would win, however, Buhari is not out for any primary, hence his desire to pick his "successor". There are however insinuations that Tinubu may go headlong with Buhari, which would be disastrous to the APC national leader. If Tinubu tries what his followers are pushing to, including leaving the party, Buhari will be ruthless toward him and his amassed wealth.

It’s all rubbish. Buhari will be ruthless with his wealth? Was Buhari there when Tinubu was making his wealth? Does Buhari know how Tinubu made his money? Did Buhari not benefit from his money? And is Buhari a dictator? Do we not have laws governing elections and party primary? Does Buhari knows that he can even be impeached within a year?
