This is unbelievable. PDP destroyed Nigeria in 16 years and Nigeria moved backwards. Lagos has always been ruled by progressives and it has moved far better than Nigeria in leaps and bounds. You can only be an enemy of progress to wish that PDP should come to Lagos. Let PDP remain in SS and SE where progress is not needed. All that is needed is ability to speak Igbo, you can steal anything you want after that. In fact, very soon Lagos will hold a referendum to secede from Nigeria. We may take our brothers in SW with us because we think the same way, we think progressive.

For all rational thinkers, I would like to ask this question. A man takes a 7 hours flight from Nigeria to the UK on Friday morning, goes for meetings. Takes another flight of 6-8 hours to the USA, has meetings then takes an 18 hour flight back to Nigeria and is expected to start his campaigns for president in Sokoto by Monday and he will be in good health? This man must be super human. APC and her supporters should stop behaving like people with a rabid desire for blood and irrational thought processes.

I think iPOB should adopt Atiku as their father and leader. He fits very well their aspiration. Kanu came out as fraud, yet they are not done. They are begging for another thief as their leader. Which country survives when a thief rules them? IPOB haters should know by now that they are doomed before the dawn of Biafra. Hatred in the hearts of a people will only destroy them. The symbolism of Atiku not being able to travel to US even after being granted a visa should have donned on them that they are looking up to a fraud and their leader, not because Atiku wanted to rule over America or anywhere. This reality eludes IPOB because hatred does not avail a people anything good. Rather, fraudulent people will be given to them who will destroy them. Atiku is a fraud, the handwriting is on the wall in capital letters, to any sane Nigerian.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the Alhaji Abubakar Kusada of the All Progressives Congress as winner of the bye-election into the House of Representatives.

The election was conducted in the Kankiya/Kusada/Ingawa Federal constituency in Katsina state on Saturday.

Kusada was the speaker of Katsina state House of Assembly.

The returning officer, Prof Adedayo Hamza, who announced the result on Saturday in Kankiya said Kusada scored 48,518 votes to emerge winner.

Alhaji Abdussamad Yusuf of PDP came second with 20,193 votes, while Nasiru Kankiya of the Peoples Redemption Party scored 1,810 votes as second runner-up.

Abdullahi Umar of the Yes Electorate Solidarity got 221 votes.

According to Hamza, the total number of registered voters in the constituency is 193,904, while the number of accredited voters was 74,242.

The number of valid votes cast was 70,742 and rejected votes 2,331. The total number of votes cast was 73,073.

The INEC National Commissioner, Mr Festus Okoye, advised political parties to intensify voter education and management of polling units.

He commended the political parties, security agencies, media men and other stakeholders for the peaceful conduct of the bye-election.

Some tribes in Nigeria decided mysteriously to hate Buhari for no reason. In the past PDP government, Jonathan made every effort to exclude the Yoruba, yet they did not hate him with passion like some south eastern tribesmen. They only showed their discontent by voting him out due to his corruption stance and lack of development. If Obi becomes the president today, all his cronies and aids will be Igbo for sure. The people you know and trust are those you will bring around you if you were brought up in Nigeria. It will take several generations of good governance and patriotic well being that removes the sickness of ethnicity and religious bigotry from our hearts. That's when we will not mind whoever leads, so long as they provide good leadership.

If anyone does a honest analysis of his speech, they will realise that he was emphasizing on what his government was doing to tackle corruption. He never mentioned how terrible his country was on corruption, which is the truth in any case. But the neverdowells will bellyache on this man's honesty because they are part of the corrupt system. Corruption is like water to fish to them, and they must ensure it continues. That's why they are always against this honest man. How can Nigeria move forward with this legion of dishonest and corrupt Nigerians? This appears like an impossible task.

The national assembly wages and emoluments are the problems. The president and his vice are already taking a wage cut of 50%. We don't need a bicameral national assembly. They should be paid per sitting, not per month. No allowances. Their salary should be that of perm. Sec. at most. We will free up a lot of our money to pay the workers if this is done. But who will change the law to reflect this? Is it not the same national assembly members? That's where Nigerians have entered one chance bus.

Many people are educated illiterates. HSBC does not do business in Nigeria. How can any fines from Nigeria disturb them? If they refuse to pay, what do they stand to lose?

Corruption fighting back even from international banks like HSBC. Are they afraid of the government getting the laundered money from their accounts? They must first come clean on laundered Nigerian money in their accounts. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.
