PoliticsRe: China To Invest $6b In Ajaokuta Steel Mill by DrOBD(m): 8:19am On Jul 14, 2013
Aringon: I can clearly see the advertisement of foolishness of the highest order in nairaland. If you do not know the concept of Export-Import(EXIM) loan facility, do not jump into issues concerning it
The Chinese Exim loan facility will be in form of machinery, parts , products and services. Nigerian officials won't see a dime let alone using it to corrupt themselves. Chinese EXIM will convert the monetary value of that loan to the cement, tar, equipment, facilities etc that will be used in reconstructing the airports and for the Steel coy, all the machinery will be brought in
Thanks for the insight.......before making comments, assuming and criticising, we should make our research first.
Let us be more patriotic, let us pray for our leaders and let us be the change we want in this country
PoliticsRe: National Carrier To Begin Operations With 50 Aircraft by DrOBD(m): 10:19pm On Jul 12, 2013

omonnakoda: don't be stupid has anyone ever bought 50 aircraft in one day to start an airline. Do you think Virgin or Lufthansa made it by praying? What doe prayer have to do with this. Is there any country that prays more than Nigerians? what have all those stupid prayers achieved. You do not plant cassava and reap cocoyam no matter how hard you pray. If you show us plans for the airline we will analyse and discuss NOT all this stupid "we are going to buy the whole of Boeing and Airbus yarn". How much will 50 aircraft cost and where will the pilots come from,Police College Ikejahuh You think there are 50 unemployed jet pilots waiting for the Nigerian National carrier to come alive huh
I don't know why some people cannot make comments without insulting others. I won't insult you because it's not necessary, silence will just do.
Please read the article again. I don't think it stated that they will acquire the 50 aircrafts in one day, they only said by end of next year (meaning before the end of next year), it's a gradual process.
Only those who lack good and quality home training with great moral values, hopeless, jobless, insensible, ignorant, unprofessional, jokers and irresponsible people insult others.
This is why I hardly comment on NL. People don't address issues, they rather find fun in throwing insults.
Prayer is key in development of any nation. Even in America, the citizens pray for America, even in their currency, "in God we trust".
God bless Nigeria.
My message is that we should be OPTIMISTIC.... Lets hope for the best.
PoliticsRe: National Carrier To Begin Operations With 50 Aircraft by DrOBD(m): 7:47pm On Jul 12, 2013
I am not holding brief for the FG, I think this is a welcome development. Nigerians should learn to pray, be optimistic and encourage our leaders rather than criticise. It's a shame, we don't have a national carrier. Countries like Ethiopia, South Africa, Egypt, Kenya, etc all have national carriers.
Most of us who criticise can't perform better (in the different places where we work, we should reflect on our achievements, are we really better).
I join millions of patriotic Nigerians to pray for the aviation industry and this project in particular. I am optimistic that this time we will get it right.
If our leaders fail we have failed, if they succeed we have succeeded. Nigeria is ours.

I am interested. I called you a few hours ago. was surprised when you asked "which of the pathfinder". it seems you have forgotten what you posted. I just went through your profile and found that this is the only pathfinder you have posted as against what you said "you have so many pathfinder".
please clear the air and show that you are for real. please no insults and I don't mean to be insultive.
AutosRe: How Do We Identify Fake(scammers) Dealers Here?? by DrOBD(op): 1:16pm On May 01, 2013
thanks @fogman and @double3. your tips are noted.
its important we go through their profiles.

I noticed that only a few cars are "SOLD". sellers should indicate "SOLD" once it is sold. Buyers should also share their experience.

from time to time, the moderators can post a list of reliable dealers and suspected fraudsters.

I will appreciate more comments.
AutosHow Do We Identify Fake(scammers) Dealers Here?? by DrOBD(op): 11:14am On May 01, 2013
dear nairalanders.
I go through most posts and call sellers for cars that interest me. but to my surprise, most sellers sounds fake, either they have forgotten the type of cars they posted, they redirect you to a website and most of them don't post complete pictures of the cars and when you ask, they come up with all sort of excuses.
it is quite unfortunate, but its true that its difficult to trust internet transactions in Nigeria.

how to get rid of these scammers:
1. don't send money to anyone you don't know. get the police and if possible a lawyer involved before you buy a car to be sure its not stolen.
2. know the house, family background and family members of the seller, be sure him and all members of his family are not totally jobless.
3. let's post SCAM in trends we suspect to be fake with reason(s), then the seller would have to prove himself.
4. moderators should please verify authenticities of posts and delete fake ones.

I hope I am not the only one having this thought.
Business will be good for both the buyers and sellers if we phase out the fake guys.

I have read through all the comments. Pelpelly you must have to prove to you customers that this is not SCAM. If possible post your references here so everyone can see. There is no hide and seek in genuine business.

As for me, this looks like SCAM until proven otherwise. GUYS BE CAREFUL.
