TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Naija 2017: Live Thread by DrOBD(m): 9:16pm On Mar 26, 2017
safarigirl:
Anyway, moving on to my reason for visiting this thread before I was distracted...

Ebuka is BRILLIANT!!!grin...even he can see through that dry gin ambassador which has further convinced me that truly intelligent people do not support Efe

Ebuka: Efe, you've spoken so much about being real. What is your definition of 'real'?

Dry Gin ambassador: I no fit talk am, blah blah blah (obviously because he isn't drunk enough to answer the question)

Ebuka: Okay. So based on your concept of real, which HM do you think is the least real HM?

Dry Gin Ambassador: Omo (some unintelligible gibberish)...I can't say o...(once again. Because he only has balls after he has filled his kidney with booze)

Ebuka (Punchline): Do you think you're being real right now? By dodging this question?

Dry Gin Ambassador: (Unable to answer, keeps smiling like Close Up ambassador)

Ebuka: (Leaves the otondo to stew in his pot)

Once again, I do not expect Efe fans to finally have the veil raised from their eyes by this small exercise, because their continued support overtime of this guy has turned them into zombies reminiscent of the type Buhari controls, however, I do feel slightly vindicated in my judgment

Efe is just another fake person masquerading as a Real G, Real G's no dey blow trumpet, their actions speak for them....for all of Marvis' flaws, she displayed a Real G trait today by stating her opinion of Debbie without sugar-coating it

Efe has been shown up by his own babe TWICE in one day. He should be ashamed of himself, but I doubt shame is a feeling such a person is familiar with, only a Real G would be ashamed after his babe shows more character than him

I end with the wise words of @Ebukaakara in reply to Tweet Oracle "He's humble, he's humble, na so we vote shoeless Jonathan, Humble humble, na so we vote Buhari, now see where we are today. Nigerians never learn"

Good night House, e go be wink
You know what, you are making him more popular. Why not ignore him.
People like us who don't really care will be forced to vote for him. This is a game and let everyone be.

The more you guys hate on him, the more you win him more fans.

For now, my best HM is Derby Rise.
AutosRe: Naira Gain Against The US Dollar: What Will Happen To Greedy Car Dealers? by DrOBD(m): 1:31pm On Mar 25, 2017
chukel:
sometimes u just need to reason before you type. I agree Nigerians hate themselves. But reason this. Mr. A bought a car and shipped at $5000 last month when dollar was 520. The car is for sell now and u expect him to sell at the rate of 380?. Dollar is now 380, Mr. B buys same car at $5000 today in US at the rate of 380. It will take approximately 2months for that car to arrive. When it does, he will sell as he bought.
Scenario number 2
Mr. A buys a car is selling a car at 380k in Nigeria which today is $1000. Then naira depreciates to 520. If he still sells at 380k, he wouldn't have enough capital to go back to market to buy another car at the prevailing rate of 520 to a dollar. If u have never done any trade, just shut up and listen.
Sir, you didn't complete scenario number 2.
If that same man bought a car at 520k in Nigeria which was 1000 USD last month, and he sells that car at 400k, he will have excess of 20k and can buy that same car again at 1000 USD, because 1000 USD today is 380 Naira to a dollar. Who is fooling who.

Let your family understand that you love her and there's nothing wrong with being a single mum. If you eventually go ahead and marry, have it at back of your mind that your family might want to frustrate her. If you know that you will not be able to stand up for her and protect her against your family, kindly let her go.
Best advise so far

To God be the glory, wiffy has been cleared and stamped in for 6 months.

She flew Etihad at 36+ weeks, her POE was Abu Dhabi. I was scared initially because of the negative reviews I read about that POE. It wasn't bad at all. She didn't spend up to 15 mins in all (plus secondary inspection).

I'm too excited and tired to go into the transcript right now. But it wasn't more than what they usually ask, previous travel, evidence of payment or ability to pay and accommodation.
She was advised to keep her receipt as usual.

Awaiting DD's arrival.

Thanks to all regular contributors here, may God bless you all, amen.

Arrived JFK on Saturday morning...flew Air France. Wasn't asked for fit to fly. Flight was good esp d Paris - New York route. At JFK, airport was crowded, was fortunate to be called to the fast track cos of LO. CBP called us (my mum,my 16 month old daughter &i), was cheerful & playful.Just asked how long we were staying. Stamped my mum & i in for 6 months (tho my visa expires in 3weeks) and logged my LO in. Surprisingly didn't ask me for LO's receipts nor send us to secondary inspection to scrutinise if her medical bills were paid tho I had d receipts handy. We had a bag full of food stuffs(no thanks to my mum) but they were not seen nor seized. Was a good trip. Chillin in Delaware now, porting to Houston in 3 weeks. Still plan on using Dr E of Oakbend, yet to call her tho. I also plan on visiting the hospital before making a final decision. Second missionary journey looking blessed already.
Congrats. My own second missionary journey loading...... grin grin grin . So JFK is still a good POE.

Hi everyone,
Long time, its been almost 5 months since I checked this thread. I have been very busy with work and postgraduate stuff.

My wife and I just renewed our VISAs via dropbox. After the application my wife was called for an interview, we went there together because we applied as a family, but when we got to the embassy my wife was the only one interviewed as my VISA was ready. The interview went thus :
VO: The last time you were in the US u spent 3 months?
Wify: yes
VO:Why?
Wify: I had my baby there
VO: Did you inform the embassy before travelling?
wify: Yes I did, both Lagos and Abuja.
VO: Do u have your receipts
wify: yes(and she presented it to him).
VO: pick up ur VISA at ...... and keep your receipt safe, you will need it like forever.
wify: thank you.

Parents in the house, keep your receipts, you will always need it.

BTW, my boy is now 7 months old. Bouncing up and down, disturbing in a joyous way, its just an exciting experience.

I wish all our pregnant mom a safe delivery like that of the hebrew woman.

Thinking of doing this again anytime soon, maybe not this year.
have a lovely week y'all.

HealthRe: NMA Vs JOHESU Vs FG Vs Patients........ Why the hatred for doctors??? by DrOBD(m): 9:23am On Jul 11, 2014
creativeEngr: @DebateNigeria,

1. I feel the topic of your post is rather misinformed because from all comments I''ve read regarding the on-going strike, I am yet to see one that suggests Doctors are hated... We only dislike the attitude of Doctors but we don't blame them, it's really the fault of Government... you may wish to read my comments from another thread - https://www.nairaland.com/creativeengr/posts

2. The issue of Doctors is peculiar to Nigeria because Society has allowed you guys become so arrogant perhaps, due to the perception that becoming a Doctor isnt easy but which course is easy? Yes, it is more demanding, it takes longer, others are already employed while Doctors are still in school and bla bla bla . The last I checked, nobody is forced to study medicine and so if it takes longer or demands more, that has to do with the nature of the course and it's part of a noble sacrifice to our collective humanity... Can Doctors take the role of nurses, accountants, security, lawyers, engineers alone in society? We all need Doctors just as Doctors need us period!. this "I better pass my neighbour" mentality is also apparent in military men, lawyers to mention few.. for Doctors, this is part of what informs their regular strike actions but we can't blame them.. what should you expect in a society where a senator earns what 25 professors of medicine earn for doing literally and absolutely NOTHING... This is the root of the problems of Doctors...

Hey, I am not saying Doctors shouldn't be well paid but beyond take home pay or titles, what is the state of our hospitals?

Before you crush me by saying it's not the fault of Doctors, it's an open secret that substantial private hospitals are owned or run by Doctors, including consultants that acquired their expertise on the bill of Govt.. a close friend once told me how a CMD in a Govt. Teaching hospital advised him to always put aside extra cash to fly himself or his family abroad in the event of emergencies.. meanwhile, he owns at least 3 private clinics... who is fooling who? The Doctors, like top Military Generals or Phcn officials remain a major part of the problems faced in their respective sectors...

yes, we admit problems in the system but the solutions are deeper than what strike or getting Govt to pay more money can solve...
I have said it again and again. Doctors are part of the problem in the health sector considering the high level of corruption in that sector. They taught the JOHESU guys all they know they started the diversion of patient to their private clinics et al.
But the contest between doctors and JOHESU should not be tolerated by Nigerians. Misplaced priorities everywhere. The pharmacist should see themselves beyond the hospital environment. Government should start prosecuting doctors who are involved in corrupt practices. Any pharmacy shop administering injections and consulting patients should be closed down. Anyone who is not a doctor or midwife taking delivery should be arrested because they add to our already high maternal mortality.
We deserve a better health care system. We can only achieve that as a nation if we understand the crux of the matter and push for what is right.

This time around cortana predicts Germany lifting the World Cup
