let me take you up on this challenge. What's your phone model and make? can you browse on wap browser, and which network is it we are dealing with? |
Guys, let's continue our risky business discussions here https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/board-53.0.html I wonder which business isn't risky, even sleeping at night is risky enough. |
o'boy, I will up the price by 500 naira, that ,means 6.5k. That's the best i can offer. Who the hell still uses a 3310? |
i'll give u 6k cash |
The real Nokia one is Nokia 6708 which is symbian. that phone is a chinese clone. |
Me too I've been wondering why people are still requesting when I clearly stated that it has been blocked. The only way that works now is to use a blocked or abandoned postpaid line which is definitely not easy to find. |
If I load the 1k on saturday, will I still get the free 2hrs on the following day (sunday). What if I don't exhaust my free 1hr, does it accumulate every sunday? I think this is definitely a good promo from celtel. thumbs up!! |
@Agboola, how much did you buy your p990 and how much do you intend to sell your old p910? |
as far as i'm concerned, there's no trick available for MTN free browsing for now. the yellow boys have blocked the dead SIM, blank APN and double settings methods. the only way is to get an insider to help you switch of your billing from their system. |
I don't use a p990 but my close friend has it. I helped him upgrade to the latest firmware recently and there has been some improvement. There is no other UIQ3 phone out there except the M600i and W950, unless you want to switch to windows mobile which is also good and comparable. |
The p990i is now pretty stable with the latest firmware upgrade, so make sure you know how to upgrade the firmware before buying it in order not to regret. |
sonyericsson p800/p900/p910/p990 all windows mobile phones like HTC, imate Treo phones and Nokia series 60 phones |
i already said that the APN is to be left blanc or empty. the trick no longer works now because it has been blocked. |
I'll give u 250k if ur ready. |
yea man, got a radio |
yea man, it's got a radio |
The phone is now 21k and you need 15 naira to set it up for browsing on celtel with 10kobo per kb charges. It's free to setup on MTN but you incur 60kobo per kb. Glo is the most difficult to setup because you need to call customer care and they will just waste your time. It's also the most expensive at 70kobo per kb. |
for your information, celtel got all the gist courtesy of free gprs. ok bro, i will no longer talk about your celtel network again. cheers! |
cabili you dey work for celtel? why launch or announce a service that doesn't work? |
send "wapgprs phonemake phonemodel" to +232 and wait for the settings. they'll charge you 15 bucks |
No one is saying they want free call by force. All I have to do is ask my closest contact to get an MTN line if I want to call them free. What we are saying is that the unity tariff doesn't help Celtel subscribers to save money on on-net calls which do not require interconnect charges and should logically be cheaper. Besides, why do I have to wait till 10pm on a saturday and sunday for off-peak when other networks regard all day saturday and sunday as off-peak. The only thing I can credit celtel for is GPRS which is very cheap, reliable and stable. I have all 3 lines in each individual seperate handsets and have never used my celtel to make a call even after the announcement of the new rates because it smells like a rip off and doesn't pay me unlike the deals I get from MTN and glo on-net. i agree that celtel is trying to carve a niche for itself and remain profitable, but always remember that competitiveness is also a thing of consideration in any business. remember that glo would have easily surpassed MTN if they (MTN) did not make the painful decision to drop tariffs and utilize unused capacity at night to retain and build a strong customer base in the growing section of the market. |
Celtel introduces a service and is making so much noise about it while it doesn't even work. FnF has never worked for like 3 weeks now. |
Do you have the money to pay @ 70k per kb? If you do, it's very easy to setup for pc browsing. |
Celtel's growth rate is still lagging behind the top two |
you are right as per multilinks flexibility of payment, but you need to realize that multilinks is 15k for 1month and starcomms is 10k. besides, starcomms is much faster. |
You think so? Well, that's the value man. Have you tried to check up the value of MSN, google and yahoo? Those are in billions of $dolls$. |
anusule:Just in case |
According to this site, nairaland is worth $82,816 (10.5 Million naira). What do you guys think? |
cabali:Read well my friend, I said the upper class end was saturated because you and I know that there is limited growth there unless you wanna switch from one network to the other. The bulk of new untapped subscribers are the youths. Why do you think MTN has extended beyond 0806 to 0703? |
What happend to Drogs, why wasn't he fielded? That coulda made the difference because I never really liked Kalou, always missing chances and never crosses from the wings. Always trying to dribble through from the wings all the time. |
