Look, there are many appointments to be made and I can care less about who gets what as far as they're competent to deliver. After all, none of them is related to me.

Again... the North has it. The purported change is taking shape and all the competent people to work in this government are either from the north or part of the cabal that has held Nigeria down since 1960.

A completely failed party that brought the nation suffering, pains and sorrow. A party that should burry its head in shame for plundering the nation's wealth.

I blame Buhari for not going decisively after these thieves with the type of emergency we expected.

Politics › Re: Saraki Did Not Step Down For Buhari – Presidency by DropShot: 5:43pm On Jun 28, 2015
Rawani:
The Presidency is clearly upset with Saraki, it's not surprising he has adopted a reconciliatory tone lately lately. His treachery will soon be treated by the same PDP he initially abandoned and is now romancing at the cost of his current party. His ultimate plan is to sieze the fairly revived PDP with Atiku and Yerima et al., and I believe the PDP is smart enough to know that.

As far as he does not cross the path of President Buhari or stand in the way of his reforms, he can keep fooling himself for now.
Saraki will learn a very bitter and painful lesson very soon.

barcanista , this world is a free world and u owe noone any explanation for ur actions . You are absolutely responsible for ur actions . But it is always good to have an ideology ,stand and principle ,this virtue is what is totally missing in our politicians and which makes them cross carpet to the party that satisfies the selfish interest. The nigeria political arena and field is about to change and new breed of politicians will and have started coming in ,stop flipping front and back and stay in one place. I have been a pdp supporter since the party creation and I have never changed my stand and passion about the party. Don't let ppl see u as a political e-mercenary . Believe me , the days are coming when many ppl here on nairaland will be using their monikers here as political aliases in real politics. if you want to belong to KOWA,APC,APGA ,PDP ,the choice is urs ,choose one and stick to it . This is my own candid advice . [s]Pdp, the party to beat ,the party to be in , won't you rather party with us. wink[/s]

thankss mizmycoli, I will answer you @ dropshot the Nigerian way.

How come the same Saraki that rebelled with some governors against PDP and join APC which was applauded and called progressives are now called TRAITORS by your lot today because he disregarded APC directive to emerge speaker

At least you cannot deny that of Kwamkwaso. I may have forgotten a few others who voiced their fear but I am sure it was not only Kwankwaso.
Only that I am using phone now, I could have easily searched for some posts of APC's supporters here who equally voiced the same sentiments.

MizMyColi:
My Political Naivety or Not does not exclude the fact that prior to that thread being created, and Saraki's ultimate emergence, most PDP supporters felt a sense of all round loss in the grand scheme of things.

Also, who could have thought at the time, that Saraki could/would beat Tinubu at his game?
I didn't.
No APC supporter saw it coming nor even gave it a second thought.
It was either Tinubu's way or the highway.

That should suffice for something for Barca.
He led the thought process on Saraki's possible emergence.
It paid off, big timegrin
You're free to hold on to your opinion but there are enough examples to prove that many APC guys feared that what happened could actually happen and one person that consistently voiced it out was Kwankwaso. How many times did he warn APC about it? More than four occasions he did. Same with some of us on this forum. Only if I can search for my posts on it.

I am not defending anybody but simply wanna let you know that there isn't anything like consistency with issues...

You base your judgement on data available to you at each point in time and as a rational being MUST shift ground when superior information is made available to you...

It is only fanatics, cultists, and deranged persons who won't change their opinion based on superior information countering their original belief...

And finally, it takes a courageous man and principled man to say; I am sorry; my initial stance is flawed...This is where I am now...
I can't fault your submission on general principle. However, on the subject matter, the guy's inconsistencies cannot be excused with that argument.

I mean, what additional info can make one who clearly provided facts and figures (of public knowledge) to prove that GEJ was corrupt, to later canverse for same man to be retained? And he did that without any evidence to say the man was no longer corrupt; only saying that "we can change within PDP".

MizMyColi:
Bro.
I don't know about others.
But for me, I have been schooled a great deal on matters of politics, the polity and National issues.

He spearheaded the campaign for Saraki's emergence.

Prior to his detailed analysis on what the PDP stood to gain, I was indifferent.
I didn't even read about such in the dailies or from anyone on here.
That was an original from him.

Today, the PDP is not the ruling party, but boasts of producing the Deputy Senate president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. A feat many of us thought inconceivable and impossible.

I needn't say more.
Sometimes I hate to admit it, but Barca isn't just an Opinion Leader, He is also a Thought Leader.
Your opinion of his "prowess" is perhaps because you're politically naive. What happened with Saraki could have happened with anyone not annointed by APC given the fact that PDP had vowed to do a "Tambuwal" to APC as they did to them. And PDP getting the DSP was just as a result of APC senators not present on the day of inauguration. Though they could also have gotten it based on an alleged pact with Saraki but would surely have been tougher had apc senators been around.

And what did his defection achieve for PDP and its sympathizers here? Didn't they lose woefully at the polls?

NL is fun to be indeed!

And what asset is in him that is very inconsistent on issues?.

I am not talking about being consistent about supporting a party when it's silly to do so. I am talking about being consistent with same issues all the time and every time.

What good can come out of someone who says GEJ was epitome of corruption, giving facts and figures; only to start telling us that the chsnge Nigeria needed can be achieved within the same PDP with GEJ as the president?

The guy is no different from a typical Nigerian politician - anywhere his bread can be buttered is where he pitches his tent.

If you guys listened to the address to Journalists by the perm sec, Ministry of defense after the meeting with the service chiefs yesterday, He alluded to what Gov Yari said today.

Infact, see from the article posted

“But Mr. President cited some incidents that
happened at the military checkpoints but where
necessary, he has given the chief of army staff
the permission that they can continue especially
in the north, south-east and the frontline
states,
” he said.

Obviously the Govs themselves didn't watch the news yesterday hence PMB had to bring them up to speed. He and the Chief of Army staff already decided that and the Perm Sec, Ministry of Defense clearly said so yesterday.
Haters are blinded by bigotry.

The earlier directive was clearly unambiguous but some people always fail to pay attention to details.

Provide proof that GEJ squandered billions or be quiet... Please don't tell me what your media says. Provide practical proof because the figures don't lie. You are much aware about decline in oil prices. You're also aware that 70% of Nigeria's export is crude oil. You're also aware that almost 60% of Nigeria's budget is financed with Oil earnings. You're also aware that RMFAC allocates Nigeria's earning among all federating entities of which FG gets about half. I am also sure that you're aware of the breakdown of oil proceed. Until you provide proof that GEJ squandered billions, please stop. If Buhari believes that GEJ spent billions, he should prosecute him, if not, let him quit complaining and get to work.
There are enough evidences and they were provided during the campaign already. Hence the clueless thieving president was thrown out.
Whatever the crude price dropped to since last year, it averaged $100 per barrel in his 5.5 years.

Save us the nonsense you keep writing here as it's evident that Jona was a curse to Nigeria. A prodigal president.
