OChimex: See dude, in the US, we understand. Some super rich than others, but nobody is below poverty line here. No place in the US you will go that you won’t see electricity, good drinking water and all amenities, unlike Nigeria. No hard working man in America is poor. Unless you are into drugs or illegal. And I say it again, poverty is a choice in US and Europe, unlike Nigeria where people are willing to work but no job. There is nothing like no job in America Uncle, try dey comot na. Go down south eg:Louisiana or Poland in Europe. They depend on bottled water. |

J3susFr3ak: If you are Igbo, I can try to empathize with your feelings about Gowon. But I felt the need to share my 2 cents since you raised the issue.
Gowon is a pretty elderly and frail dude at the moment. I think he seems aloof but playing the role of an elder statesman means staying above the fray most of the times even if you may have confidants who have their ear on the ground.
Plateau State is an interesting and complex state. With over 50 DIFFERENT mutually unintelligible ethnic groups with each their unique histories and migration patterns--you could say, it has created an interesting predominantly Christian Middle Belt melting pot where each ethnic group jealously guards their own heritage and lands.
The ethnic group affected in this fresh crisis is not Gowon's....neither is that Gowon's local government area. This is not to say this particular ethnic group and local government who are neighbors with Gowon's do not share any common heritages or lineages. They do have somewhat of a common history up to a point.
I think I have to say that just like it was in the civil war, Gowon was merely a figurehead at the time being the most Senior trained Military officer from the so-called Northern region at that time (this was after James Pam's assassination during the coups and counter-coups of that era) so begrudgingly, the Northern hegemony at the time had to make do with this minority Christian who had the most senior rank. Incompetent lackeys like Buhari much more junior in the military totem pole at that time now command a much more tremendous scope of power at the moment. The military is a completely bastardized institution rife with Islamic nepotism and Jihadists of all stripes. There are no remnants of any true Professionalism in that institution. Just primitive instincts and inclinations.
Unfortunately, by mischievous design of the colonial powers who denied the Middle Belt minorities rights to their own region at that time, sadly meant a person like Gowon is forced to side with the region who made him a disposable figurehead.
Personally, I think the current system is totally unworkable. Abuja is too bloated and a breeding ground of every high level criminal out to unleash death and mayhem on the less fortunate masses who already have little to go by.
Gowon was praying for Nigeria during the doomed Abacha era. I think he must be weeping now to even think of crying. Nigeria? Such a mess! Guy, i bi Aba boy..F×× Gowon. I am so angry right now

ogaemma: Come to think of it, this is a very simple and modest property that many average Americans can afford without even taking a loan.
One do not need to steal Government money to buy this type of Property in America. A property of $300, 000, not even up to a million dollar.
Common guys, this is not big deal to set set social media on fire. My Brother's house in Texas is bigger than this house and he is a Nurse. Your brother didn't take any loan |

Moh247: Festus Keyamo stated his sole aim of buying the property was to invest since he had the $300k sitting dormant in his account..
Banana Island properties are mostly owned by foreigners, US embassy made a huge investment buying Eko Atlantic city land for it's mega embassy That's money laundering, NEVER an investment. |

ycat: This man is a minister in Nigeria and his house is in the lowest income earners level in the low $300's, when I've see a Nigeria senator bought a $10,500,000 house in California. Even Ben Bruce owned $4 million dollar house in Beverly Hills about 8 years ago. Keyamo has to be an upright man to be so humble and down to earth with this tiny house. Greedy Peter Obi's house will be 30 times the amount of this, thief and greed is written on that one's forehead. If every politician can by a home like this, Nigeria would have been a better country. God bless Keyamo for being a minimalist. Sir, it's like you missed the part where he said he has SEVERAL PROPERTIES. Do you know how many they are? Their locations and worth? Please what is bad is bad, condemn it asap |

lifenajeje: Good day pls anyone with an idea on what it cost to renew Nigerian passport for adult and child in United States
Would also love to know how long one wouid have to wait for the process. You are asking this question not for yourself. Tell the person to call the one closer to him/her in the states to find out if they have booklets available. I prefer to fly home with an expired passport and arrange a new one. At the point of entry in 9ja, expired passport is no kwams..but verify with the airline if they will issue you a boardingpas if your passport has expired. |

SmartyPants: I dont expect him to be. He tries hard but you can see the siper eagles current style of play is not a good fit. Sadiq is a target man, knock the.ball ip to him or cross, and he migbt bs dangerous.
But this version of the super eagles play the ball on he deck. It requires a striker that can hold ball when in possession, and is fast enough to worry defenders with his running in behind.
Both Osimhen and Awoniyi fit this mold. But Sadiq, like Onuachu do not. Ok okay |

Ugmama: Please do I need to make photocopies of the DIY forms?
Also what documents should I get from the guarantor?
Must it be passport page + NIN and 2passports photographs
Or
Passport page + NIN + drivers license and 2 passport photographs
Urgently please You need these things if you are doing fresh. Yes make copies because it will be more expensive around NIS, i hope you the documents. Your guarantor have to fill the form and sign at the back of the photographs. Guarantor's documents have to be valid. Get all from him/her but it's suppose to be NIN or drivers licence and depending on which NIS, be prepared that they may ask to see the guarantor in person. If you check the previous pages people complained about this. |
