But the same Nigeria is sitting down watching bandits, terrorists kill its own citizens in thousands, run over military bases, kill security officers, capture and kill a general, taking territories and collecting taxes on behalf of government as a government of its own, who is the joker here, you or Tinubu or both of you?

Are you saying the democracy in Benin republic is more important than the lives of Nigerians?

After lying that they have released the soldiers and aircraft, look at the shame they are bringing upon Nigeria...
I am wondering why you wasted your energy answering that guy with idiotic childish reasoning

and real Madrid is yet to play 20 games and the season isn't even more than a half.
Those coaches you mentioned they were all sacked after a season and not mid season.
You think it's easy hiring coaches
Rafa Benitez was sacked after just 25 matches. In fact, he won 17 out of the 25 matches (a performance that's way better than Xabi Alonso currently) but yet he was still sacked less than half way into the season. Julian lopetegui barely lasted a season. I don't think Xabi Alonso can escape the sack. His current performance is way worse than these other two guys who were sacked. I won't be surprised if he's sacked after this game. This team needs another coach. Xabi Alonso in my opinion is the worst coach Madrid has had in recent times.

Lol you obviously don't know Madrid. You think Madrid is Arsenal or Man utd that'd keep incompetent coaches for so many seasons. Go and check out what happened to Rafa Benitez and Julian lopetegui. Madrid has standards and Xabi Alonso hasn't even met half of it

The governor is a weakling .
I still like him regardless and I wish him well in his new party.
When he stood his ground against all odds, how many of his people supported him or came to his rescue? Even his own party PDP did nothing to come to his aid except usual toothless media talks. The people that hyped him before declaration of state of emergency suddenly became quiet and deserted him to his fate the moment he was illegally ousted. Anyone in Fubara's shoes would do exactly what he has done now because he is now wiser to know that he is essentially alone in this fight. So he has to take decisions that would secure his future in politics which is obviously what he did.
PoliticsDifference Between A SA, SSA, PA, Minister And Minister Of State In Nigeria by drstranged(op): 4:27pm On Dec 05, 2025
what is the difference between a special assistant, senior special assistant, personal assistant, minister, minster of state and special adviser to a president or governor in nigeria?
In Nigeria’s political and administrative structure, these titles represent different levels of responsibility, influence, and proximity to executive power. Although they may sound similar, they serve distinct purposes:

A Personal Assistant (PA) is the most junior of the roles. This is an individual who handles day-to-day tasks for a governor or president—such as scheduling, correspondence, logistics, and personal errands. Their focus is largely administrative and operational, ensuring the principal’s routine runs smoothly.

A Special Assistant (SA) works at a more professional advisory level. SAs usually focus on a specific area—media, ICT, special duties, protocol, etc. They provide technical input and assist with implementing the administration’s agenda within their assigned portfolio. Their responsibility is policy-adjacent but not deeply strategic.

A Senior Special Assistant (SSA) is a step above a Special Assistant. SSAs carry more weight, often handling more sensitive matters or supervising several SAs under them. They are closer to the governor or president and provide higher-level advice or coordination in a particular sector. Their work begins to intersect more directly with policy formulation and strategic decisions.

A Special Adviser (SpA or SA to the President/Governor) is a much higher-ranking appointee—often at the level of a cabinet member in terms of influence. Special Advisers lead key policy areas such as media and publicity, political affairs, economic matters, or legislative relations. They do not only advise; they shape strategy, manage relationships, and often oversee entire units or departments. Their advice can significantly influence executive decisions.

A Minister (at the federal level) is a major political office holder, essentially part of the President’s cabinet. Ministers are responsible for entire ministries—Health, Works, Justice, Education, etc. They implement federal policy, oversee national programmes, manage budgets, and drive the government’s agenda in their sectors. They have executive powers delegated by the President and often represent Nigeria at national and international functions.

A Minister of State is a junior minister assigned to support a senior Minister in a ministry. While they can be given specific responsibilities or special portfolios within the ministry, they typically do not have full authority over the ministry unless expressly delegated. Their role is supportive and complementary, though still powerful and politically significant.

The

OBJ did it with one country like that ..what is Sao Tome and Principe. Their President came to visit. The army did coup. OBJ just called them direct and told them the President is coming back home, the coupists immediately relinquish the power and surrender themselves. That was when Nigeria was Nigeria
It's really sad how Nigeria has lost that respect even amongst small West African nations.

He was not a sit tight, this was his second term reelection, how is that a sight tight. The president of Mali was not a sit tight, that of Niger was not a sit tight, Burkina Faso was not a sit tight and they were all overthrown. Only the guy in Guinea Conakry was going for a 3rd term against the constitutional 2 terms. The real problem is a bunch of adventurers in uniform who also wanted to be President have nothing to do with sit tight.
You obviously didn't study the events that led to this Bissau coup, if not you wouldn't post what you posted. It's not simple about second term but how you get there. It must be credible. You heard how he turned his country to a one party state, literally using state security agencies to persecute opposition. It was exactly what Tinubu is doing in Nigeria today. Or was it how the Bissau president used international drug cartels to fund and compromise the elections? You think other countries are foolish and docile like Nigerians to tolerate these kind of anomalies and shit being perpetrated in the country? Their military are not as docile and weak as the Nigerian military. You think these other countries in Africa would tolerate half of the shit you guys swallow from your govt in Nigeria? Please Go back and study the events leading up to the coup. The Bissau military just found the perfect avenue to take over and it was perfectly handed into their hands. I see the same fate befalling Nigeria soon.

whippersnapper:
I prefer winning the AFCON on every outing than going to the world cup. It's like telling Italy do the preferred winning the Euro or going to the world cup. We need to start giving our continental cup importance.
We should rather start performing on the world stage. We've been doing well at the afcon but we've never really gotten it right at the world stage, probably except that group of 1994 super eagles. We cannot remain on the same pedestal for ages. There has to be some upward progression for Nigeria. At this stage we should have been talking about reaching world cup finals or even winning it. It's the same progression we're witnessing with this current Moroccan team. I won't be surprised if this Moroccan team reaches the world cup finals. You can see that visible years of planning in this Moroccan team, you can also see the progression right from their under 17 team to the senior team. They're performing all round due to years of strategic planning. I agree with Mikel that the problem largely lies with the NFF. They need a complete overhaul if Nigeria is to make any significant progress.

PoliticsRe: How Does Soyinka Criticise Trump Without Assessing Tinubu's Govt? - Daniel Regha by drstranged: 1:20pm On Nov 23, 2025
MT:
Irrespective of what happens in Nigeria, the US has no legal right to say they want to launch military attack on another country uninvited

The US created the global rule-based system which Trump is currently destroying. There are diplomatic channels that countries use to communicate. No sane country comes to social media to plan war.

When US voted a convict as President, no one talked. When guns are killing them in their thousands, no country threatens to attack the US. US and any allies help are welcome but not through disrespect. Right approach has to be done.
It's because you as a citizen you're not being responsible by holding your government accountable that's why another country is shamefully doing that for you. The fact that Tinubu's govt only started speaking up and pretending to act on the disgraceful killings in your country only after Trump called them out shows how docile Nigerian citizens like you have been in holding the government accountable.
And you talk of Nigeria as a sovereign nation? A country where your government officials and even security officials open beg and pay bandits and killers to stop the killing cannot be called sovereign. We lost our sovereignty to these killers.
And maybe you've not noticed how your president has cowardly been silent since the killers have been bombarding the country back to back for the past 3 weeks or so? He has shamelessly and cluelessly hid in aso rock with his tails between his legs while the killers are rampaging your country and even killing your soldiers including a general. Where in the world have you heard of such an abomination happening? Even such doesn't happen in failed countries. And you talking about sovereignty. Please don't make me laugh. You should thank Trump for proposing to come to your rescue. You're talking like this because the problem hasn't reached your doorsteps. That's how those in Kwara were mocking the northern Christians back then because they thought they were safe. Today, Kwara is getting the heat. I just pray you don't learn it the hard way by losing a family member to the bandits. Maybe then you'd realize how clueless your president is and would belatedly start begging Trump to come in. Sovereignty my foot! Spits!

Nigeria has NEVER had a 5 star general (field marshal)!. Even military heads of state like Abacha and IBB never held that honour. So who then is a civilian president to hold the title of Field Marshal? In fact, in the US, only 1 person has ever been a field marshal (Douglas macarthur).

Which category does the president belong to?
So the field Marshal is bigger than the president!
Yup, that's why the highest rank an army chief can get to is lieutenant general because he can't be at par or higher than his commander in chief, the president who is by the constitution "a general". Even General Abacha as head of State was never a field marshal. It's difficult or near impossible to attain the rank of a 5 star general.

A whole brigadia General a 3 star General can't be easily captured like that unless he was sold out to the terrorist but never, this is a big slap to the Nigeria Millitary. If I may ask, what's a 3 star general doing in war front ?
A brigadier general is a one star general, a major general is a two star general, a lieutenant general is a 3 star general, a general is a 4 star (e.g president and commander in chief), and a field marshal is a 5 star general.
