The lady probably has a fantastic character, is humble, submissive, homely and respectful. A good character is what can make a man skip a thousand beautiful ladies and settle for a relatively ugly one. And this is one thing most ladies don't know. They think the ultimate thing is outward beauty. A girl who has beauty without character, respect and honour for a man is as useless to him as the p in psychology. |

That's what I expected you to do -check FIFA rules and regulations and use that to counter me. It'd make you sound more intelligent. Don't just put up another image from another game and use that as reference when we all know that football referees can be in error sometimes. BewareOf419: Actually that incident was a penalty but Morocco is not ready to be crown champion is the cause! You don't know the technicalities of football yet. Don't display your ignorance sir. Once a player's hand is in the same longitudinal line as their body (that is, not outstretched) a penalty can never be awarded no matter how many times the ball hits that hand. The hand in that position is assumed to be part of the body itself and thus in a natural position. |

We know the Game Plan and we will all move to the ADC before that November How will it be a walk over for tinubu if the contestant from PDP comes from the same southern zone as him? It'd rather be a dangerous move for tinubu which would give ADC candidate the upper hand, that's if ADC picks a northerner like Atiku. Makinde would split or reduce Tinubu's votes in the south. This is an area where Tinubu's largest support base should be. And this coupled with the fact that Atiku would most likely sweep through major states in the north. So any southerner contesting against tinubu is actually doing him a disservice. The only permutation that might work for tinubu if makinde emerges is only if ADC picks a southern candidate. In this case, Tinubu would most likely win northern states. |

joedejoe: I weep for this generation. Spiritual laws are being broken on the alter of genzees or jenzees, I do not know which one. In the olden days, marriages are contracted by parents and we are the products of those marriages. Parents know the bride's and groom's family tree background and know what they want.
Some do not want those who batter their wives or husbands. This mother belongs to this group and when she saw signs that her daughter is in danger of being battered and pummeled by the young man., he acted swiftly. The mother did very very well and will be blessed for this.
The young man was not properly brought up by his parents, if he was, he would have learnt the proper and expected demeanor and decorum of an intending suitor. Come to think of it, ordinary missing calls, you are shouting at the girl in her mother's house. What if he comes back hungry and food is not ready? what if he needs intimacy and the wife says she does not have the feelings and tired? What if he is going somewhere with the wife and the wife delays? All these before you get to number 3, the lady's head would have been severed from her neck.
Congratulations mamu for a job well done, You saw early and never be blinded by even begging because he has shown the stuff he is made of. No body is contesting that what the man did was wrong. But is the girl not old and mature enough to take such decision herself? Couldn't the mum have advised her to end it rather than doing so for her adult daughter. The implication here is that even when married the mother would still be taking direct decisions for her marriage which wouldn't sit well with any man. Though the man was wrong, in his mind now he'd be praising God that he dodged a bullet. |
Romance › Re: Mother Calls Off Daughter’s Engagement After Fiancé Yelled At Her by drstranged: 2:18pm On Jul 24, 2025 |
The mother shouldn't have done that herself but should have advised her daughter who's an ADULT to break it up. For the mother to make such decision herself shows that she'd probably have been constantly and directly interfering in their marriage and that marriage wouldn't have lasted. What the man did was obviously wrong but it should have been the girl to have taken such a decision directly not the mother. |

Travel › Air Peace Launches Heathrow Flights, Cuts London Return Fare To ₦1m by drstranged(op): 9:05pm On Jul 22, 2025 |
Air Peace Airlines on Sunday officially commenced flight operations to London’s Heathrow Airport, with a major fare reduction offering round-trip tickets from Nigeria to London for as low as ₦1 million starting in August.
The airline also announced plans to begin direct flights from Abuja to both Heathrow and Gatwick airports in London, effective October 26, 2025. With this move, Air Peace becomes the first Nigerian carrier to offer direct services from Abuja to both of London’s major international gateways.
In a statement issued by Air Peace spokesperson Mr. Efe Osifo-Whiskey, the airline said passengers travelling from any of its domestic destinations can now book connecting flights to London via Abuja on a single ticket. This, he said, will eliminate the need for multiple bookings and baggage re-checks.
He further disclosed that travellers flying from London to Nigeria will enjoy seamless onward connections to Lagos, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Benin, Warri, Owerri, Kano, Yola, Gombe, and Asaba—all through Abuja. More domestic destinations will be added in due course. “This provides a distinct competitive advantage, enabling passengers to travel between Nigeria and the United Kingdom with greater ease, efficiency, and value,” Osifo-Whiskey said. “Passengers can now choose from multiple Nigerian cities for their entry and exit points.” He also highlighted the generous baggage allowance offered on the London routes, as part of the airline’s effort to increase accessibility and comfort for travellers.
Osifo-Whiskey noted that Air Peace has consistently challenged the status quo in African aviation and remains committed to pioneering transformative routes. He described the new Abuja–London service as a major milestone.
“This latest offer—round-trip fares starting from just ₦1 million, along with unmatched domestic connectivity—is yet another bold step in democratising international air travel for Nigerians,” he said. Source: The Guardian |

Times have changed, country is hard people are trying different things to survive
It's all about understanding among the 2 lovers
Either ways, I'm not a fan Who is she shaking it for? Unto what purpose? Why would a supposedly decent girl according to you do such a stuff publicly? You can't justify immorality by saying it's only content creation. So it means a girl can show or dangle her boobs or pussy in public and she can be justified by calling it content creation? You obviously don't know anything about women or morality. You have a very long way to go. |

He wasn't patient to let them complete their tenure, then he went ahead to conduct his own election, and his party swept all local government seats. The incumbent ones went to court again, and the court still validated their election to complete their tenure, but the governor still wouldn't agree. Along the line, theocal government allocations have increased by far, and these yes/no chairmen are eyeing the money to get good pay, but it led to chaos that even caused deaths, closure of local govt secretariats. Right now, the federal govt has frozen their allocation for about 3 to 5 months now if I'm not mistaken. That's huge. He played into the big politicians' hands. He has submitted to their will. MCentral: You don't understand how the stock market works so this is my last to you.
GTCO has paid the following dividends since a hypothetical N10 million investment was made in 2021:
N3 per share dividend in 2021 N3.10 per share dividend in 2022 N3.20 per share dividend in 2023 N8.03 per share in 2024
This will translate to dividend income of: 2021: N1.42 million 2022: N1.47 million 2023: N1.523 million 2024: N3.82 million
The above assumes you bought N10 million worth of shares in 2021 @ N21 per share to own 476,190 shares and didn't sell.
Note that if you sum up the dividends gotten since initial investment you would have made N8.23 million already back on your initial N10million investment.
Meanwhile that initial investment value has increased to N44 million as of today.
Total returns which in finance is (capital gains plus dividends) will be N52 million
If you hold on to your shares you will continue to earn dividends that will continue to increase as the bank surely expands and makes money. The value of your 476,190 shares will also continue to go up.
This is how the likes of Wigwe, Jim Ovia, Elumelu, etc that own banks got rich from the major shares they own in the banks.
Dont let anyone deceive you. The main point is not about the dynamics of the stock market. I'm heavily invested in top stocks in the the US stock market and several European stock markets for years so I perfectly understand how the stock market works. However the point of argument is in the comparative value of the naira at two points...2021 and 2025! Whatever dividends you're earning now whether jacked up or not or whatever the value of your share is, is of way lesser value now than it was in 2021. That's the whole point which I thought was simple and straight forward. The point of discussion here completely has nothing to do with the dynamics of the stock market. The dollar for instance has been relatively stable, inflation wise. This someone who invested thousands of dollars in 2010 and finds the value of his shares in USD increased today 2025 would have made true profit and value from that investment. If I invested same amount in the NSE in 2010, right now the actual value would be way lower than what it was in 2010 even though cumulative dividends or share price would have gone up. . |

MCentral: The average Dollar - Naira exchange rate in 2021 was $1 to N403.5808
https://www.exchange-rates.org/exchange-rate-history/usd-ngn-2021
N10 million in 2021 was worth $24,813 ($1/N403)
N44 million today in 2025 is worth $27,500 ($1/N1600)
So contrary to your claims you have not lost money. More importantly dividends are not included in the calculation, just capital gains.
For instance if you bought N10 million worth of shares in 2021 @ N21 per share you will own 476,190 shares.
GTCO (GTB) paid N8 per share divided in 2024. That means you would have earned N3.8 million as dividend in just 2025
So lets understand that building wealth is a gradual process.
Some people still had N10million in 2021 which they either wasted in clubs or used to invest in scams. First of all, people have a right to spend their money as they deem fit, whether on clubs or whatever and that's nobody's business. And that is besides the point, like way off point. Now that 3.8 million you talked about is worth USD 2,375 today going by your exchange rate of#1,600. That same 3.8million dividend in 2021 would have been worth USD 10,000 dollars in 2021 (going by the exchange rate of #380 to the dollar). So where's the wealth creation if your value dropped from USD 10,000 to USD 2,375. You're actually much poorer than you were in 2021. Statistics don't lie. Maybe you don't know that 3.8 million in Nigeria today is useless. You still think it's same 3.8million of 3-4 yrs ago. It's purchasing power is as useless as the p in psychology. 3.8 million could get you a sleek Corolla in 2021. Can quadruple of that get you same Corolla today? Please wake up from your dreams sir. |

MCentral: GTCO has been good for investors. This is a stock that was trading at N21 per share in 2020.
Meaning it has returned 340% in 5 years.
Thats excluding impact of dividends.
If you invested N10 million, you will have N44 million today.
Not bad. Point is, what was the value of the naira in 2021 compared to today. #21 in 2021 is equivalent to #105 today. So in essence the value of GTCo stocks actually depreciated, not appreciated. Do the maths yourself What #20 to #30 could get you in 2021, even #200 cannot get you today. A house of #10 million in 2021, you can even get for #50million today. When you do the maths you'd know how bleeped the economy is. |

The point is, how much is the value of naira. A 45 naira appreciation doesn't mean much, it's insignificant in the grand scheme of things. That's less than 4.5 cents appreciation. Let's say you bought 1000 shares, that's 45,000 appreciation. #45k can't do anything tangible in this current economy. 45k is a mere 25 dollars I will never advise anyone to invest in Nigerian stocks at the moment. The maintenance crew of that aircraft should be investigated, to get to know the truth. There might be an important person or two in that aircraft who people of interests to other people, there is a conspiracy!
Just my personal opinion. The thing is, an aircraft wouldn't start at all if the fuel switch is cut off. It's a safety mechanism. It's just like a modern car. If the brakes aren't on or the gear isn't in neutral it wouldn't start at all, let alone move. And before an aircraft even lifts off, the engine is usually turned on and warmed for several minutes at times even up to an hour. There are indications that the airplane had an intrinsic problem rather than human error |
