chiluvgod8, I really want to express my appreciation for your contributions to this subject. I am a Christian myself and I was only asking questions about something I didn't understand in the bible. That's the beauty of Nairaland, isn't it? I hope to get more of your contributions to subsequents posts of mine on other Bible topics. Thanks a bunch!

I'm finding this puzzle interesting.Kimba,I'm extremely appreciative. Really, the female sex -or better still girl child - might have done horrible things - or still does them - but do they do them without men's imput? Can a women bed her all alone? Can she go naked to please someone of her same sex?Don't men ask for and derive pleasure from these dirty things ladies do?Aren't men those who demand for it?
ChiluvGod8.Thanks.Jesus changed a lot of things, did he say ever one of those things we say he changed in the bible or our own interpretations made him change them?My question actually arose when I read Leveticus where a man was barred from marrying anyone remotely or immediately related to him or a woman he gets married to so as not to commit incest.Don't we still follow that today? That's what I seek answer to.I'll appreciate replies especially from kimba and chiluvGod8

STOP PRESS!!! THE PORTION OF THE BIBLE THAT CONTAINS THE RITE EXPLAINED ABOVE IS IN NUMBERS, CHAPTER 5, VERSE 11.
Christianity Etc › Is God Really A Fair God? by DrTee1(op): 4:52pm On Nov 16, 2006
I read the bible recently and my eyes fell on somewhere in Leveticus. It was chapter 18. It gave instructions as to what a man should do if he suspects his wife of infidelity. He was instructed to take her to the temple and the priest in charge was to do some rites; it entailed cursing water and giving the lady to drink. If she was guilty, her genitals would shrink and she would become a curse to her generation. If she isn't adulterous, she would be unharmed by the water.
My question is this: I don't think there is anywhere in the Holy Bible where a woman can do anything if she suspects or even catch her husband in the act of adultery. This goes to reinforce my belief that the soceity permits a man to be unfaithful but condemns or better still excoriates a woman who does so. My reading of Leveticus has confirmed this. At least, God has not changed. He is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever. I understand Leveticus contains mosaic laws but we still follow some of those laws in mordern day Christendom, or don't we? I need clarification.
Romance › Gbenga Adenuga's Globacom, doing good... by DrTee1(op):
Ever since Globacom started off with its second carrier licence, it has been songs of joy all the way. Aside creating employment, being an indigenious caompany, Globacom also introduced per second billing, 2G technology, mobile banking, I can't really say it all, those guys are really explosive. And deservedly, Nigerians have fallen over themselves to express their appreciation to Adenuga's brilllance as often as they could.
But there is one part of Globacom's excellence that I haven't read anyone's appreciation or comments before now, the number of relationships Glo has initiated and bred. grin It all started with free sms - 35 every month!Even if a man didn't have a lady, one could start and end one's 'toastings' (I mean to woo a girl) within one's 35 free sms; as long as one had her glo phone number!. The lady would probably be in your arms before you exhausted 70 text messages over two months.

For already existent relationships, Adenuga's glo helped sustain many a relationship, especially amongst many students who are not as rich as to make calls very often, by giving an opportunity to send endless text messages.

How about this new addition on Classic Plus, free calls between 12am and 5am? Not even MTN can be compared to glo in this benevolence! You don't need to have a minimum balance of any sort to talk to your sweet heart kiss, glo doesn't even cut you off after 5am as long as the call was initiated before 5am!

What else does Gbenga Adenuga have to do before we crown him the king matchmakers in Nigeria? I propose that he is given some express invitation to every Globacom-initiated-wedding ; at least to show gratitude. Lol! So I send this message to Globacom: Please create a feedback space on your website so as to take wedding invitations! grin cheesy

I have FOOTBALL MANAGER 2006 on my PC. Can you give me information on how to get the newer version? I however don't have the money (or credit card!) to buy it online.I'll appreciate your benevolence. That game is the bum. I spend almost all my time playing it, as long as there is electricity supply from PHCN. My right hand is aching badly, I now use the mouse with my left hand. I've deprived myself of so much sleep that, Idon't think you're as hooked as I am,prove me right or wrong by telling me how your situation is!
Politics › What Is Adedibu's Role In Oyo State? by DrTee1(op): 11:01pm On Nov 09, 2006
I have been following the Nigerian political terrain for quite some time and I haven't found an answer to this question. Is Alh. Lamidi Adedibu a god in Oyo state that is being obsequiously venerated or he is the wisest person in the entire state? The man is barely literate, yet he does anything and gets away with it in 21st century Nigeria! He goes as far as to demand a substantial amount of the state's monthly allocation from the federation account and removing a democratically elected governor who refuses to dance to his tune! Something must be done to arrest this ugly malady!
