northbird: Angry igbo man hit the nail on the head..
Nothing glamorous about UBER driving....
One should have an exit plan.... and the plan mustn't be perfect before one starts exiting...
The winners r lways the app companies...
Professional devpt is Zero...
Bolt will tell you drive miniinmum 200 trips in a month before you Qualify for Healthcare insurance....
Look at the futuristic health implications of driving 200 trips monthly over a period of two years..
Its a hustle that leads you on a slippery slope.. If care is not taken, it sucks you in... and spits you out.... The person given advice hopefully has taken heed to his own advice |

You still need an exit plan ......... In life there is no free hand outs .. Nobody is going to give u sh#t ... You just have to hustle for it ...... |

sharpk007: You are actually right, I did Ehailiing for two years plus, made some money but interms of career growth it was almost zero, I stopped last year February, learnt many skills ranging from Programming, to data analysis to Mechanic and now is not that I have arrived but I can see growth and even my health and body is growing well too... For two years plus that I did Ehailiing (mind U I fed well, Asin well well) my weight is always between 55-57 but after like 6 months that I left Ehailiing my weight is close to 70 now, I looked more fresher even though money no too dey.
NB: Driving is stressful in Lagos and as a Career you can't add Uber,Taxify driver as experience unless you wanna be a professional driver. The same way people work their 9 to 5 job are they planning to be career 9 to 5 professional worker, or are they going to move on to be their own bosses.. In any thing you do they should be growth.. Me I don't want to do 9 to 5 forever .. |

AngryIgboDon: Please if you are a driver and reading... Listen to me...
Stop wasting your future and destiny driving as an ehailing driver. This was not God's design for your life. Go and learn a trade.
Mechanic Fashion Designing Building Construction Plumbing Electrician Chef PVC installation Car pimping Interior Decoration Bakery
Lagos has over 25 million people and more are coming in daily. Only 20 contracts from these 25 million people is enough to change your life forever.
Become a pro in whatever you choose to do and then ask God for favour and grace. You will see how you will become a millionaire over night.
The above listed people in Lagos who are pro in what they do make far enough money than what ehailing drivers can make in 100 years.
You may think this is a tough call but remember that people like Gazzuzz and Radautoworks were once novices in the mechanic world. They may not even know how to loose a tyre many years back. Fastforward to years later... They are controlling millions.
Felicity take note. You were born a great man. Discover your destiny fast and leave this racket before you become wasted. Same applies to other great people with divine potentials here.
God bless you all. Proverbs 22:29, “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” That is a word from the wisest man that ever lived in Bible times. If you are diligent, you would be outstanding. ... Without any doubt, diligence is a mandatory tool for success in life My brother you have an ego problem.... Life is by stages.. You learn to crawl before you can walk .........motivational speeches only works once you have achieved those success ..... Practice what you preach...... |

No one ever said here that manual cars are better than AUTOs. Yet that's the only point you're trying to make. Manual cars are actually good and fun to drive especially if it is sport car ...... But manual for ehailling/ transportation shifting up and down especially in heavy traffic.. It is a no no for me and I will not recommend it to anyone |

Gogettaz: You will still need the MIC, don't off it yet. In context of you referring to life expectancy of stick drivers was not about health care system. So don't shift the goal post. It is no news that Nigeria healthcare system s**ks, so that one is out of the argument. As for drivers being able to afford healthcare, it is a matter of someone letting people know that you can have a health insurance for as low as N1k per month. I hope ur leaders are aware that u can get such low healthcare per month.. U need to let them know sharp sharp so don't keep going to the UK, Indian , USA for medical check up o. Tell them o Ordinary malaria or even simple child birth people are dieing from ... This man u must joker, or u are living in an alternative reality |

donfortune48: You can say AUTOs are better alternatives. But they never stopped building Manual cars.
There are later model of cars that are Manual. Have you asked why? Mr. Man come down ... Most cars abroad na Auto ,very few people drive manual abroad o compare to Auto .... If a car dealer buys manual cars and Auto ... the auto will sell faster before the manual..... |

chillex8: Instead of you to admit you can't drive you are yapping about manual cars Most long distance transporters, drive hundreds of km daily with manual transmission. There's no special consideration for the type transmission you drive. You earn same fares.
It's even actually cheaper to operate a manual vehicle. From frying pan to fire ..continue with manual sir .....very few modern manual cars are even produce self ....lol it is well ... Ford Mondeo /manual guy Even taxi drivers abroad na auto dey drive ... our naija people sha their ways dey different.. Lol make I off Mic for u |

emmancecute: Oga dru, I've always told you to stay away from this kind of discussion cos rumour has it that you can't drive so your judgement on this kind of matter will not count. I drive a stick shift and it is not as stressful as painted. pros are durability, cheaper maintenance, better fuel economy, cars are cheaper. cons: stress of changing gears in slow moving traffic. if you drive a modern manual car that's well maintained, your clutch and gear will be very soft hence less stress while changing gears. I just pity some drivers that can't think. you have 1m but because you want to drive a particular brand with automatic transmission, you'll go and enslave yourself and be doing hp or rental with your 1m when you can get a good car with manual transmission at that price and make money for yourself and become your own boss. I started this hustle with rentals and I first car was an 04 corolla. That car came from canada so had suspension issues. I later bought my own car which was a big daddy camry 04 little did I know that the car is notorious for shorting oil. I use I litre of oil to top up weekly, I later sold off after 9 months of usage. I bought 09 corolla for 2.1m but discovered it's a wrong tool of the hustle too cos its costlier to maintain than previous car and sold off before the AC wahala too starts. Truth be said! the 03-08 corolla is best for the hustle but it is unnecessarily too expensive and the fact that you can't have peace of mind with that especially in Lagos. it's also becoming expensive to maintain too due to costs of parts too I currently drive a brand that's not popular in Lagos, fits the hustle too, though manual but who cares!, cheaper parts, fuel economy is good, rugged, nice looking atleast to my eyes and fits the fare perfectly. Continue driving ur manual up and down for Lagos traffic. If na sport car I fit understand ur reasoning, but for everyday driving continue sir ...... When ur leg and 1 arm go dey pain at old age .. Don't come and tell us is ur village people dey worry u .. Have said my own ..... It is not good to be typing and driving ... I dey drive now as I dey type this thing.. Can u do the same with ur manual |
