Politics / Re: Revocation Of Late Saraki’s Land: ‘Abdulrasaq Has Crossed The Line’ - Saraki by Dsecret: 11:15pm On Dec 28, 2019
Coming from someone that spent the first 18 yrs of his life around that area, there used to be a massive uncompleted building (looked like an office complex with the way the structure was built) on that same land (maybe on one of the plots) up till the late 90s. A tarred road separate the said land from the elder Saraki (Oloye) house. The place was cleared up and some parts were fenced around early 2000s to make room for it present use, where all these old woman and men do gather from time to time to collect 'what have you' from the Sarakis .
SmartMen:

What prove do you have that it is government land aside what you are told. You don't have the survey plan, u don't have the coordinate, you didn't go to surveyor generals office to confirm the aforementioned but you sit your flat asz and say it is government land, land that has been there since 1980 before I was even born lol

One of the problems of this Country is poor journalism,Baruten is a home to Bokobaru tribe and peoples which share history and tradition with the Borgu kingdom which falls in the North-Eastern Benin Republic and some parts of northern Nigeria. They are the same people sharing boarder between Nigeria and Benin Republic.Though,i can say anything about their action.
I am really surprise at d comments am seeing on this trend. A lot of nairalanders are not well informed. Even that guy called Ileke does not know what he is saying. Baruteen local govt is not YORUBA. YORUBAS ARE NOT THE ONLY PEOPLE IN KWARA STATE. BARUTEEN ARE BARUBAS. FROM THE BURGU EMPIRE.

WHO OWNS PINNACLE CONSTRUCTION
N2.7 Billion Subsidy Scam: Allegation Against Me Is Malicious-Wogu …Pinnacle Contractors Say “We were not indicted”
Labor and Productivity Minister, Chief Emeka Wogu has said the allegation linking him to subsidy scam with Pinnacle Contractors Limited are malicious attempt aimed at attacking his hard earned reputation.

A former member of the House of Representatives, Dino Melaye, accused the Minister of Labor and Productivity of ownership of Pinnacle Contractors Limited, an organization fingered to have fraudulently received N2.7 billion in the fuel subsidy scam.

But Wogu declared that he had long resigned and sold Pinnacle Contractors to Masters Energy Oil and Gas Limited five months before it went into the subsidy business.

According to the Minister, “The Pinnacle Contractors Ltd was sold to Masters Energy Oil and Gas Ltd in March 2010 for an agreed sum of which payments have been effected in accordance to the sales agreement.”

He said his resignation from the board and the sale of Pinnacle Contractors was duly registered by the CAC on the 7th day of April 2010 after his formal resignation on the 9th day of March 2010.

Wogu explained that, “after the said sales and business takeover of Pinnacle Contractors Ltd by Masters Energy Oil and Gas Ltd the new owners took over the affairs of the said company completely and ran the enterprise without any recourse whatsoever to the Honorable Minister.”

According to him, “all documents relating to the sale and transfer of Pinnacle Contractors Ltd to Masters Energy Oil and Gas Ltd are public documents and are available to all Nigerians to see with the CAC.”

Also, the new owners of Pinnacle Contractors dispelled insinuations that the company is faceless and had been indicted in the Petroleum subsidy scam.

They also absolved the Labor Minister of ownership and involvement in the activities of Pinnacle Contractors.

“The Honorable Minister of Labor and Productivity, Chief Emeka Wogu has no stake in Pinnacle Contractors. For the avoidance of doubt, let us restate here that he has no hand in the company and he is NOT a signatory to Pinnacle Contractors account. “

A statement signed by the Management of Masters Oil and Gas and made available to journalists stated that Pinnacle Contractors is a legitimate company which pays its taxes; it pays VAT and also has its own bank account. You cannot have all these in place if your company is not registered. You cannot have a tax number if you are not a registered company; you cannot have a VAT number if you are not a registered company.”

The Company says, “the petroleum products for which the subsidy claim was made was actually imported into the country and sold in the country as evident in the bill of lading, certificate of clearance and reports of the various regulatory agencies.”

According to the company, “The presidential committee on the verification of subsidy payment deems this clarification necessary in view of the public interest generated by the false reports and the purported indictment of the company.”

The drug called ZMapp arrived at
Madrid’s La Paz-Carlos III hospital
where the 75-year-old missionary
was being treated in isolation, the
health ministry said in a statement
late on Saturday.
Spain’s drug safety agency allowed
the “exceptional importation” of
ZMapp under a law that allows “the
use of non-authorised medications
in cases where a patent’s life is in
danger and they can’t be treated
satisfactorily with an authorised
medication,” it said.
The Roman Catholic priest, Miguel
Pajares, was one of three people
who tested positive for Ebola at the
Saint Joseph Hospital in the
Liberian capital Monrovia where he
worked.
He was brought back to Spain on
Thursday on a medically equipped
Spanish airforce plane, the first
patient in the fast-spreading Ebola
outbreak to be evacuated to Europe
for treatment.
Spanish health authorities said
Thursday the priest was in a stable
condition. The hospital is not
providing medical updates for the
missionary at his request.
The military flight also evacuated
Spanish nun Juliana Bonoha Bohe,
65, who worked at the same
hospital as Pajares in Liberia and
who was found not to have Ebola.
The Spanish charity Pajares worked
for, the Hospitaller Brothers of St.
John of God, had asked Madrid to
bring to Spain for treatment two
African missionaries infected with
Ebola who also worked at the
hospital but the request was turned
down.
One of those two missionaries, a
Congolese nun, died on Saturday
due to Ebola, the charity said.
There is no proven treatment or
cure for Ebola, which causes severe
fever and, in the worst cases,
unstoppable bleeding. Some 55
percent of cases in this outbreak
have been fatal.
Two Americans infected with Ebola
while treating patients in Liberia
have shown signs of improvement
since being given Zmapp back in the
United States but health authorities
say it is too early to tell if the drug
had anything to do with that.
ZMapp, a treatment made by
private US company Mapp
Pharmaceuticals, is still in an
extremely early phase of
development and had only been
tested previously on monkeys.
The use of the medication has
sparked an ethical controversy as
experts call for it to be made
available to African nations
this actually show USA is enemy to west African

This issue is not about some people fighting for the masses. This is all about POLITICS,POWER,and POSITION btw Bukola Saraki and former chairman of Federal character commission Prof Oba Abdulrahman.
He latter lost out in his bid for 2nd term at the FCC because the party leadership and saraki did not support him. That is the crux of the matter (animosity )btw his supporters and the govrnt. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME.THEY ARE NOT FIGHTING FOR ANY MASSES.HE just lost out n the game.

Things are no longer the same between the former governor of Kwara State, Dr. Bukola Saraki and Chairman, Federal Character Commission (FCC), Prof. Abdulrahman Oba. The bone of contention may not be unconnected to an allegation that Oba, who is a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, is being used by some forces in the PDP and the Presidency to challenge the leadership of Saraki in Kwara State.
As the story goes, Oba, who is yet to
forgive Saraki for not supporting his governorship ambition in 2011, has now seen the opportunity to get back at the former governor, who
reportedly nominated him for the FCC job.
