There are different sections for travel history and personal history.

You fill all of the trips you made outside of the country you were living or schooling in under travel history.

Eg- you schooled in uk from 2004 to 2008, this will show under personal history automatically if you entered it under education. If you made any trips from uk to naija, you fill that under travel history where you are allowed to type the reason for the trip as vacation.

I am planning to apply for Canada express entry – FSWP and the only work experience I have is my NYSC. I worked as a lab assistant in a University (NOC 4012). Can I use it as work history? My supervisor is ready to give me a Reference letter with all the required details included, however, he insisted on stating clearly that it is NYSC Primary assignment, would that be a problem? Thank you for your anticipated concise response.

It should not be a problem. What's important is that the job title and duties match the NOC. And you meet the minimum hours per week/per year for it to count as 1 year work and were paid for the work.

It isn't advisable. The ECA is one of the requirements under FSW. If the date on your ECA when if finally comes out is after the date you received an ITA, it is likely that CIC will reject your application based on the fact that your points should have been lower when you were issued an ITA and hence you should not have gotten one. then there is the risk of misrepresentation as stated by others which is a much more grave offence that may spoil your chances of ever getting a PR. A little patience is key. it's generally a long journey of around 9 months at the minimum. it won't hurt to wait a few weeks for your ECA. I started this journey writing IELTS in Sept 2015, Paying WES for an ECA in Jan 2016, ECA took over 1 year(I tried to get additional points for a unilag dipoma) ECA finally gotten in March 2017, dived in the pool immediately, got my first ITA a month later, had to decline that because my birthday had just passed and with my new age I won't have gotten an ITA in that draw (my profile did not update automatically). I got a second ITA in May which I am now applying under.

WES has recieved my documents and are currently working on it. Bro what if my ielts results comes out say 2nd week in july while my ECA hasnt come. Can i still dive into the pool in anticipation to recieve it soonest?

If you entered the pool and got an ITA without an ECA, I would advice you decline the ITA. If you don't, you would end up wasting the 90 days plus the time it would take till CIC rejects your application.

Hmm, That's serious. this strike has affected alot of lives. without WES i cant apply for PR and 90days is fast approaching. after that my ITA will expire.

This will be post ITA. Individual Forms will come up for the principal applicant and each of the accompanying persons. The info required for children even at this point is not a great deal compared to the PA and Spouse.

At what point do they ask for children's details(name, passport number, DOB, etc.) cos I've not seen any question about them so far(Pre ITA) apart from where they asked for the number of people accompanying d PA to Canny while creating d EE profile? Even d documents upload advice above doesn't require any for the kids. Have I missed a part out or something? Like to know now and make any necessary correction to avoid stories dat touch. Lol....

Even if you are able to use the current medical report you have, it's likely that you would need another examination prior to landing if your application is successful. Medicals are only valid for one year and if you are yet to get an ITA, that leaves you with around 6 months validity on your medical. Your medical must be valid at the point of landing. That'a why it is adviced to have it done just before you submit your application.

If the two jobs were in similar positions, ie in the Same NOC, it's four years. If it isn't, then you have to use 2 years for job B for now.

you can visit the British Council office in your state if there is one.

I had some issues with my registration when I did mine and visited the office. it was sorted out immediately. I doubt your money can "enter voicemail" with British Council.

Evaluate only your B.Sc, you wont get points for the Cambridge A levels if IQAS says it's the equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma. If you are above 30 years of age, you are likely to have over 3 years work experience, you would be fine with a good ielts score and your B.Sc and work experience. if you have less than 3 years work experience, then you are likely to loose a total of 50 points and it may be difficult to cross a CRS of 400 even if you are below 30. Like some one said, with the current low scores, the priority should be to ace IELTS.

You can use standard unless you don't mid paying more for international Courier. I used standard and got it delivered. The time it takes to be delivered is not an issue as you can use the soft copy sent by email for almost everything express entry.

With a B.sc alone, you can't get 100 points under skills transferability. You get 50points for good language score combined with 3 years work and another 50 points for good language score and 2 or more post secondary credentials, masters and all that. B.sc with good language gives just 25 points here.

Sorry for dat. 8777 and work experience/maximum level of education go together I think. I said I think cos I can't remember if it's just with d 3 years work experience only or with a Masters degree. I'm very sure it's with one of the two which I can't remember d precise one or both. I've played with d CRS calculator severally and I discovered dat I can only score 50 in skill transferability if I have anything short of 8(L)777. I have d max 3 yrs work experience and MSc.

I'm sure u got 75 cos of your years of experience probably less than 3 years or qualification(not having Masters degree). Try manipulate those on d CRS tool to understand better.

Is it First bank Visa gold card you got? In the past, I had to make a payment that required a credit card and First bank recommended the Visa gold card. It worked then too. Its meant to be a debit card that functions like a credit card.

You are welcome. I'm not sure of this, but under WES document requirements by country,the only credential where you do not require a transcript for Nigeria is secondary school certificate.

Pre-degree is not the same as advanced level certificate. Advanced level is equivalent to OND. Advanced level certificate holders start from 200 level when admitted to a university.

Yes I got a certificate from unilag. As at when I did my program with unilag, it was called diploma 1. It was a 2 year program that gave direct entry to year 2 with the option of doing 1 year and resuming in year 1. I did one year. But that said I think if your transcript reads subjects like maths, english and so instead of course titles, i doubt WES would evaluate as post secondary. There's no harm in trying. But if you can't get a transcript for the A level, what is the likelyhood of it being evaluated. I think not. I am advicing this because it may end up delaying your ECA. If you are under. Or around 30, a B.sc is sufficient to get you an ITA with good english scores and 3 years work experience.

Also you can evaluate 1 year programmes or certificates. Canadian colleges have loads of 1 year diplomas and certificate courses. A 1 year PGD would also earn you points

I doubt it. I'm fairly sure because I tried to evaluate my pre degree certificate with WES along with my B.Sc. in the end, it only delayed my evaluation process and the outcome was 4 year Bachelor degree.
Pre Degree is quite similar to A levels.

Guyz, please help with a solution to this:
WES rated my HND(Electrical Engineering-Upper Credit)Certificate as 'diploma(3 years) and post graduate certificate(1 year)'. Now on the EE form where I have to select an option for the WES rating of my HND certificate, I'm torn between these three options and I don't know which precisely to choose:

1. Two-year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
2. Bachelor's degree(3 or more year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute)
3. Two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years

Please note that option 3 above has the highest mark while 1 has d least mark.

I was thinking of using option 3 cos it(HND) is rated as 3 years diploma AND 1 year postgraduate certificate but on the other hand, it means it's higher than the Bachelors degree option in two which is confusing.
I also thought of going with option 2 cos the HND is rated as a 3 year program but the bachelor's degree there is confusing since WES calls it a 3 year DIPLOMA with a year postgraduate certificate
Option 1 didn't really appeal to me cos it's for a 2 year program whilst WES calls the certificate a 3 year diploma

Option 3 is valid. Wes veiws HND as 2 or more certificates with one being 3 years of study or more. It has taken into consideration your OND for this

That's correct. Unfortunately, the implication of this is that one might not receive an ITA even when one's score is called if the person's CRS score is the same as the cutoff. It is now even more important to join the pool as soon as one can.

Though I think it is a somewhat sure sign that scores will reduce further. Studying the make up of profiles in the pool, you would find that some score ranges have quite a lot of people. An example is over 4000 people on 401-410 according to the last update of May 26th. With this new rule, CIC wont ignore a score just because there are too many people with that score. On the flip side, it would be annoying to have your score called and not receive an ITA.

Rather, you will need a job that qualifies as a valid job offer according to IRCC/CIC (This in effect means certain jobs do not qualify)
Secondly, the employer will need to obtain an LMIA( labour market impact assessment) for the job they have offered you showing that there is no Canadian available or qualified to do the job.

Congratulations on the job. Question is the job LMIA one ? The kind of job that would give you points? If yes carry on. If no, then I suggest you forget about it. To know if the job is LMIA ask your friend and check CIC website on jobs that qualify to give you points.

Your Nysc will only count if its the same NOC as the job you are using to claim points.

2: laws and policies are liable to change anytime. UK was once smiling and many rushed in hoping to smile after study. However, the policy changed and dashed their hope before the end of their study.

Apart from above two points, I don't see why I shouldn't try it now, if I am qualified too. I have introduced some of friends with Msc qualification into it, and am wondering why I shouldn't try if I can get "two cert" with my current qualification. No big deal in trying, they say.

The Nysc issue is there. I don't think I can claim 1 year, considering that Nysc is 11months + 1 month leave. Apart from that, my set was the start of two streams in one batch and I was second batch which resume camp one month after stream 1 but completed service with them. So, I literally served at my ppa (a public sec sch) for 10months.

Any opinion or advise from you and others is highly welcomed.

If I read correctly, you have a masters degree in mechanical engineering. With a good ielts score, even at 36 years of age, you can score over 440 points.

WES will only evaluate ,Bachelors, Masters and Doctorates degrees from Nigerian universities and Onds and Hnds from polytechnics. I know because I wasted over a year to send them my predree/diploma transcript from Unilag and it was not evaluated. They will definately not evaluate a professional course like you have stated.

It happens that i register for this 1 year program from a college but didn't graduate at that time, now am trying to go back to the school so i could be able to use this certificate under "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees" in combination with my Bachelors degree.

To satisfy my curiosity, i called this school to ask what type of [b]qualification [/b]would be issued upon completion of this program called " Microsoft Certified Solution Developer" they told me it will be just MCSD Credential Certificate from Microsoft and a Transcript from their school highlighting the Modules completed which i have listed below. They would not issue any certificate from their school asides this.

I want to ask if WES would evaluate Microsoft certificate as 1 year graduate study if i provide this school transcript
