Hello guys, great to have topics like this on NL.
I am a beneficiary of NYSC/BOI GEF (2nd Edition, the last one before yours), thank God for that opportunity cos starting my Company won't have been successful without it. I just want to give you guys tips on what to except during your Capacity Building training and after the training.
1. Please, endeavor to pay close attention to the training, every part of it. It will be useful for you later.
2. This particular "Loan" scheme from BOI is 0% interest rate (it was meant to be 9% before but it was removed during our own)
3. You don't need to register your company yet before going for the training as it is not everybody that go for the training will eventually put in for the loan request.
4. Prepare your mind for a long journey with BOI officials after the training if you eventually decided to put in for the loan.
5. Once you signify interest to put in for the loan, then you will be given a checklist of things required of you to submit to BOI and part of it is your Company Registration Certificate with CAC.
6. The term of the loan is 3-5 years and moratorium period is 6-12 months depending on what sector you into.
7. At the training camp, it is fun and you will really enjoy yourself. From the comfortable accommodation to the food and of course your transport allowance (Please settle your mind for the minimum of 5k as the transport is been paid base of the distance of the Corps Members Serving state to the training camp.)

Hello guys, I am Adetunji Adeolu Oluwatobi, Director .....Farms (cant mention the name cos of the policy here). We are into production and processing of catfish and we want to expand our business horizon to Processing of Poultry birds.

i have one already.

i went through the nysc site and discovered another way (new introduced) of capturing the fingerprint called "client window" or thereabout. do you have any idea on that? though, i followed their instructions to the letter and downloaded all the downloadable (lol) (right now, i have an app (from those files downloaded through nysc site that pops up after click to capture the fingerprint once the PCM log in with the account details earlier created on the site.

This is a nice one from you dearie.
I run an Online Registration Center and We are getting ready to register corps Members for this batch.
But the hitch i have is, after carefully going through the NYSC web page and the requirements for the fingerprint capturing, i saw some things i dont really understand.
i don't know if you have knowledge on how to set up the finger prints scanner so as to make it work perfectly without any glitch.
Any help on this whatsoever will be so much appreciated.

There is a purpose for you been selected to attend the online training and that purpose will be fulfilled if you do that yourself.

You stand to gain a lot from those lessons that will be applicable to your company, organisation and business in the long run even if you are not selected for the next round of the program.

This is just my 2kobo advice for all those thinking of engaging the service of middlemen and craft guys to do the training for them. Take your time to do what you have to do.

Dedicating 2hours a day will see you spend just a little above 3days to finish each of the course and with 6 courses to do, just 18 to 20 days should be enough to finish the whole training. Remember, you have 1montj to finish the training by the time giving so take your time and avoid rushing.

For those business guys that this post might have hurt, make Una forgive me and don't be offended, was just thinking differently from you guys. Stay blessed

Done with the first Module (Marketing Management) had 88/100 for the module.

Now on Module 2 (Finance) : 2 lessons done with, remainijg the last one and the assessment.

If you are having difficulty with the server, know that tens of thousands of people are doing what you are doing at the same time. So chillaz, keep trying and don't give up easily.

You can also look for a swift device, good browser (not Opera mini) and a good network. This will help you to beat the congestion that is coming from the server.

Know also that you are not competing with anyone in timing to finish, everyone has 1mknth to complete his/her training and your 1months start counting when you get your login details and register your presence on the portal (Mine is 2 Jan, I must end by 2nd Jan). So relax and prepare well.

Also, don't be in a haste to jump guns. Make sure you watch those online videos very well, they will help you at the assessment stage (I had to go back to watch the lesson 4 video of the Marketing Module cos I find some questions on the assessment a little bit difficult but after watching the video, I easily answered them).
