How do you explain someone that publicly declare that the bailout he got from FG is not going to be used to pay outstanding workers salary.

Secondary school students in Osogbo, the Osun
State capital, on Tuesday staged a protest
against the government policy that any student
who cannot produce their parents’ tax
clearance should not be allowed in school.
Students of Osogbo High School trooped out in
hundreds and trekked from their school, through
Ogo Oluwa area to the Governor’s Office singing
anti-government songs.
Armed with leaves, the students were joined on
the roads to the Governor’s Office by their
colleagues in other schools.
The Head Boy of Osogbo High School 1, Taiwo
Oyewole, said the students were protesting
because most of their parents who were
government workers had not been paid for
months, adding that it was impossible for them
(parents) to pay N4,500 for tax clearance.
He said there was a directive from the state
government that any student who could not
produce the clearance should not be allowed in
school.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education,
Mr. Lawrence Oyeniran, when contacted said the
directive was given by a body at the Internal
Revenue.
Oyeniran said, ” Internal revenue gave the
directive, but it is a collective decision. We will
talk to them to douse the tension.”

Aregbesola is a big disgrace, am from osun state and a pro APC supporter but am so much disappointed in the way this guy is running osun state, it's so frustrating seeing people doing job and not been paid for it.
Why on earth would you start a project that you can't finish, osogbo to ibadan is just 45 mins and Aregbe embark on constructing an Airport when the one in ibadan is not even functioning well
This same Aregbe change the name of osun state to state of osun, you can call that misplaced priorities, am sorry to say this I don't know whether it's because this guy graduated from the polythecnic that's why he's always shallow minded on embarking on frivolities project.
Also this same guy used billions of naira to produce opon imo that haven't added anything meaningful importance to the student of osun state.
Naturally I never supported his second term bid because I know that the guy is propaganda oriented but I know that omisore wouldn't have got any chance in winning this guy because of his precedent. Aregbesola is a total disgrace to our democracy and should be forced to resign if he cannot continue to pay the salaries of workers which should be the first thing an elected governor is expected to do as the number one citizen of a state.

You have spoken the mind of every well meaning osun indigene. We pray that God will look down from heaven and remember us his sons and daughters and save our soul from this monster called Aregbesola.

Bloody pretentious hypocritical deceivers. They loot the money the SUG generates yearly, which should be used to better the standard of living all the OAU students( over 100,000 students) and decide to use a small amount to "help" pay the fees of 85 students.

Now, next time they need to request money from external bodies, they would have a better CV.

hey miss,if you don't know how to comment/react to issues,kindly lock it up.
The whole of OAU community combined together is not up to 100,000 not to talk of the students alone which should be around 30,000-35000(depending on admission each year).
secondly,SUG officials don't just spend money,they also have budget that they operate with and which must be approved by the SRC which am sure their schorlaship was part of.
finally,as you can read it was part of their electioneering campaign which they bound to fulfill. Students welfare rely on the school management,the SU can only pressurise them to do the needful.
