I don't think there's any standard for pricing. Prices just have to be competitive. One shouldn't however make his own price cut his throat. As per diskspace et al, resellers tend to offer lower diskspace than server owners, which is good. I take a look at most of the webhosts in Nigeria and they are either reselling HG or having TPlanet as upstream provider yet the prices are outrageous. |
Is it only in Nigeria things like this make news? What the hell?! Its a gaddam standard operating procedure. If you cant bring the bird down to its destination, do a U turn and take the bird to the nearest safest landing spot or take it home. d'uh! This is embarrassing. Gawd purnish some people ![]() Then again, aero could be lying. Maybe the landing gears failed and the pilot had to keep jerking the bird to bring out its legs. |
This looks good, the afterlogic interface. Some time last year I was playing around with an open source gmail-like webmail. Can't remember what made me drop it. SquirellMail is a constant pain to look at. Its however the only one I got enabled for clients because its the most stable. Horde is just AJAX poorly implemented. Roundcube has its own stress. |
I see your posts that are hijacked by the bot. I will appeal on your behalf to get them out. |
alleno:Personal experience: I have had to move over a hundred accounts from one server to another. The old server was on DirectAdmin, the new one cPanel. I spent about a whole day SSH'ing between the old and new to get things accross. At the end some things didnt just transfer correctly on the first try. Another Experience: I was hired by an upcoming host in US to move accounts from a VPS to a dedicated server. Both servers running cPanel. Took about 3 minutes to set things up and another 40 minutes or so to sit back, watch youtube, do some naira-dollar conversions et al. My Point: For the sake of across server compatibilities, it is best to use cPanel for public hosting. We dont pray for bad things to happen but when bad things do happen, cPanel will help in moving your passengers to a life raft in good time. cPanel licenses are expensive but worth it. For my personal needs I wont even need a control panel or i may go for direct admin. alleno:That can be controlled from your WHM interface. But people like being in control hence the reason why I leave the full options on cPanel for clients. They like it, I am very customer centric. They may have no use for it, but they like it and it does my servers no harm for them to have it. Its like a car's dashboard. More controls, more ego and swagger. alleno:Can you throw more light on the web mail platform you bought? I will need all the info about that. If its not possible here, kindly mail me. I give clients the option of using the webmail bundled with their accounts or using google apps. Personally I use Google Apps for all my stuff. The single most important reason being that the "big" mail providers trust things coming from google and wont SPAM them up. |

radyboy:I'm capable of doing better cuz i'm not as lazy as netalliance. Take a look at their own site, mehn! ![]() I'm busy with some projects so i'm not free for new ones but it'll be best for you to state clearly what functionalies you want on this site. As per that uniport site apart from the presentation logic via HTML&CSS and the search function, there's nothing else on that site. State your requirements that are unique to your site so you can help those interested in bidding for this. |

Okponee:I understand you get a WHMCS license along with your reseller pack from HG. Ever heard of CashEnvoy? Its a payment system like some others out there which allows you to receive payments from your visitors using their Interswitch ATM cards. If accept CachEnvoy on your site, customers who choose that payment method will be directed to the cashenvoy site during order for them to fund their account using the ATM cards, once account is funded, they can then use the funds in their account to make payment on your site. The money paid wiill be sent to your CashEnvoy merchant account and it can be transfered to your bank account on your request ![]() If you get a Reseller account from HG or anywhere else and you run WHMCS as your billing system, I can write and integrate payment gateways for you. I will charge you on a per hourly or per gateway basis. One more thing I can do is build your site to be tied seamlessly to your billing system. It doesnt feel nice to see a nice site and a nice billing system, yet both of them are so different in layout, in most cases when you hit /billing or /clients e.t.c its a totally different interface. I could show you sites I have built like that. I have to tell you this straight up though I am not cheap but I am affordable. My charges are best-fit to the job and are non-negotiable. Check my site in my signature for my contact details ![]() |
