Thanks, how was the load speed on your end? As per the horizontal bars, what do you suggest? I'm thinking a lighter shade of grey or a glass-like appearance. |
Dhtml says version 3 is "booting" ![]() I'm praying its his connection that has cut :-p Edit: I'm checking out "version 3" on me laptop (15.4" and I don't a few things about the flash. May just squash the whole gallery idea and come up with something else. I didnt see any problems in my primary workstation, its got a 19" display so everything looked juicy. |

Dreamweaver is just a tool. Its output depends on the user. I dont use it but I am not against good use of it. Last week when I started work on mslnigeria.com I was considering doing it in a totally different environment from the usual np++. Ah when I thought of the stress i'll have to go through to set up access to the local server and site definition. . . i just boned the things and did everything entirely in NP++ accessing the files directly from wamp's www directory. I still respect DW for that inheritance-tab thingy, that feature that keeps all included files (php, js, css) in tabs. I havnt seen any other IDE or editor that does that so well and I am furiously looking for an NP++ addon for it, any help? |
Okies good peoples. Never had to ask for a review here cuz I got most of the good pipz here on Y!M so I get all the reviews from 'em via Y!M. For some wierd reasons, none of 'em online now. . . not even Afam or sayhi2ay, which is strange ![]() Well its my personal site. I need a review as per load time and yada yada. Came up with the first version in January or so, that's now version 1 (it is said that when you do something and fail at it, call it version 1 and try again) ![]() Then after reviews from dhtml, omni, lanre i came up with version 2 Now there's version 3 because Lanre took time to pieces the site's (version 2) load speed analysis which came out poor cuz of a combination of factors :-p. So, in taking dhtml's advise about cross compatibility and lanre's advice about load speed, I have replaced some javascript functionalities with flash. I have had to remove the "validations" thingy at the footer in this latest version cuz the "embed tag" is a b1tch as far as xhtml is concerned. I will sort that out shortly. Here are the 3 versions and let me have your take on whether there has been an improvement. Version 1 Version 2 Version 3 (latest) |
Webdesign business in Nigeria is now a bend-down-select or crayfish buisiness. What edge do you want sites that are built at 10k and by people with no experience to cut? The pricing isnt really the problem but the people giving these prices. |
