I was refused ooo ... second time in almost 2 weeks. I thought if I reapplied and address the issue of certified bank statement , it would work .. but those people came back to tell me my vaccination is invalid... LOL.... I feel like reapplying just so I can write a letter to show my anger ( joking)

I think SA is just messing around .... At first , I was denied for uncertified bank statement , I reapplied and now it is the yellow fever card ? Lol.

I would advise anyone to go for physical submission instead of DHA.... Just my own opinion.

Adjudication outcome received came more than 12 hours ago but till now, no letter .

I'm so pissed right now ! I keep wondering if VFS didn't include my SOA to the application .. When I saw the email requesting for additional document, I thought the embassy wanted me to show proof of how I made the money in my account and I only sent documents and letters to that regards..

Did you put yours as an individual or the company's?

To show how I made my money or to show a new SOA ? Because I replied and sent everything I could about my business ONLY... I didn't send a new SOA .

Hence, only your reservation is needed, not paid ticket

This is exactly the message from VFS : Proof of own resources ............ Any documents explaining how you finance yourself.

Anyone here used VFS to submit their application ? I was asked to provide proof of resources after a little over 1 week of submission but then I noticed my tracking is showing invalid inputs after .

,

Also, did you submit a planned itinerary ? Book for a few tours too , doesn't cost you anything as you can cancel later .

Why did you use your Employer's SOA ? Are you going for a business trip sponsored by your company ? If it's a vacation, just use your personal bank account and write a convincing cover letter .. Plus any other documents to show proof of ties to your home country.

Employer bank statement for 3 months
Employer company documents such as CAC form 2.1, CAC form 2A, CAC form 7, National Custom Service clearance certificate, FIRS certificate.

Flight booking for the trip

Well, turned out I was rejected.. LOL


Apparently all the pages of my bank statement that was stamped and signed wasn't certified enough .

I even uploaded my bank reference letter ...

You may, within 10 working days from date of receipt of this notice, make written representations to the Director-General to review the decision. ..... As written on the rejection letter .. Guys, what do you suggest that I do ?


Is it okay to print a new SOA with a new reference letter and reapply tomorrow ? And oh, I noticed the stamp on the previous SOA was just the stamp and signature, it didn't carry the date.

Make this people no give person heart attack oo... LOL. ... I received notification of correspondence , I rushed go check my portal, only to see NOTHING.

First Schengen Application but frequent traveler.

I want to spend one week in France and now Enter UK from there for another one week vacation.

I submitted on 18th October and received SMS today for pickup so have to drive down immediately since I was shopping at ShopRite before going to work. It’s same Island.

With all these requirements you listed, if I am well-established in Nigeria, owning a viable business or working in a high-profile company or role, I would be crazy/foolish to be thinking of japa to Canada. It’s mostly hustlers who seek to japa. Please suggest something more realistic because your requirements seem too extravagant for a common man!!!

Just find a virtual USD card , put $5 on it and book your tours .......... Go for tours that can be canceled a day before the tour date . Plenty of them on getyourguide.com . So, what you need the virtual card for is just to hold down your bookings , they won't charge until 2 days or 24 hours to the tour date. I hope this helps , good luck.

You actually don't need conference booking to apply for a tourist visa .. Dem go still deny you if you no package your application well.

I've never seen any conference less than $500 .

My own little idea : Make your own itinerary .. It's just like showing your arrival date in Canada and what activities you want to do each day until your departure date ... Book your hotel on booking.com ( free cancellation and payment on arrival options ) but make sure it tallies with your travel dates. .. Book your flight , again just to show your arrival and departure date .. Ethiopia airline would let you hold your flight for free for about 48 hours, all you need is the confirmation, doesn't matter if they cancel it after the 48 hours. and book your tours on getyourguide.com

Again, these are just my own ideas and opinions ... And oh, there is nothing like one on one meeting with your advisor nor school tour ... Either go for the student route or apply for visiting ..

According to my knowledge, you don't need an invite to visit Canada.. A conference booking would be great though but what really matters regardless of what you decide to do is your financial capabilities and home ties.. You can go for a visit, show your itinerary , flight booking, hotel booking and tour bookings but most importantly, prove your home ties.

This is my own opinion.
