This application na fire .... Wow ! Congrats. ApostleNduBiz: Hello My People,I received my approved TRV/stamped passport today at VFS office,Lekki,Lagos.
I've been a quiet follower of this thread.I stumbled on it after submitting my study permit application.I must confess some assertions made on this forum made me want to lose confidence in my application and made me leave my fate in the hands of Jehovah as my only Advocate. For instance,a member of this forum stated education loan cannot fly and while another member affirmed that Fixed Deposit Certificates as proof of funds is a no-no.
My Timeline Paper application at VFS Lekki Lagos.... 18th April,2018 Linked my application online....5th May,2018 Medical Call....8th May,2018 Medical Done.... 9th May 2018 Medical updated as passed on my online account...18th May,2018 Contacted by my school (UBC) to give consent to confirm my acceptance and release my personal details(student number, date of birth, program, program start and end dates, etc) to CIC....8th June 2018....I consented immediately. My online account started reading Account/Profile Updated..... 21st June 2018 Within minutes,my online account started reading 'New Message' (no longer Account/Profile Updated).... 21st June,2018 Yet and even uptil now my online account was and is still reading 'Your application is in progress','we are reviewing whether you meet eligibility requirements....We are processing your background check' (even after collecting my stamped passport...this shows the website is having issues).Even the 'new message' does not open for me to see the details. Contacted by VFS to pick up my processed passport at Lekki.....25th June,2018 Visited VFS to pick up my approved TRV/Stamped passport.... 26th June,2018.
To all TRV hopefulls,it will end in praise.Keep on keeping on!!!Now i can sleep very well and plan ahead...What a big relief!!!

Okay, thank you.... I tried to PM you. Frankrobbn1: dubaiboy1,
Your uncle needs an affidavit of support, attesting that he will incur all cost during your stay in Canada, that he is fully aware of your travelling to Canada for studies, that he will make sure that funds will be made available for you during subsequent years of study, stating his relationship with you (applicant) etc... this affidavit of support will be stamped and signed by a notary public officer or commissioner of oaths in a federal high court, while your uncle signs as the deponent. It's very crucial you include it with your application. |

Guys, I saw something here about a sworn affidavit of sponsorship.. What is a sworn affidavit of sponsorship and what details must it entails ? Do I need one if my Uncle is my sponsor ? He has given me a letter to take responsibility of my study cost.... Enlighten me on this one guys...
Thank you....... |

Thank you and God bless Frankrobbn1: It's not important to do that on your SOP. The IMM1294 study permit application form is the best place to state the refusal.
All the best! |

You should contact the school. Linzo: Hello house, please someone should clarify me in this issue. I got my offer letter from Brandon university for an undergraduate program in Economics but the offer letter just stated 4- years bachelor of Art without mentioning my program which is Economics. Note I studied banking and finance in my diploma. Won't this pose a problem with VO in trying to know the exact program I'm going for considering the fact economics wasn't mentioned in the offer letter and my previous study was banking and finance? I'm thinking of contacting the school and ask for a new offer letter or for them to make a change with the one issued to me. Is the decision to contact the school a wise one? |

You don't need a year Statement ... Just 4 months. 123abcclown: I was honestly going to leave out my own SOA. I’d take this as the lord speaking. Lol
Someone mentioned to me that Digital SOA are not signed and stamped and so are not accepted for Visa application. How true is this?
I intend to use the digital copy instead of the hard paper copy as my account is very busy. I’m sure my 1 year Statement account won’t have less than 1,000 transactions (I don’t know how many pages that will be and how I’d compress it into a legible scan).
Many thanks. |

Check your admission letter ...You will see the tuition fee for your course of study , Health Insurance , Accommodation and other bill... Sum it up and add an additional CAD10K.. The total will be the amount you must have for your first year of study. I stand to be corrected though . yeahkim: University of Ottawa and the tuition is about cad19k |

Good day guys ,
So under the document check list form.. I found the following :
IMM 1294 form ( Application for study permit made outide of Canada )
Family form IMM5707
Statutory Declaration of Common-law Union ( IMM5409 )
Use of Representative ( IMM 5476 )
Authority to release personal information to a designated individual ( IMM 5475 )
Custodianship Declaration for minors studying in Canada ( IMM 5646 )
BUT my question is Do I need to submit all these forms ? The only form applicable to me is the IMM 1294 and the family form . What do I do with the rest ?
Also, I can't seem to find the IMM 5475 anywhere on the CIC website .
Thank you for your help . |

Hi guys,
I'm gathering my documents for paper route but I have a few questions.
1: My maternal Uncle is my sponspor: Will it be enough to attach my Mom's birth certificate to prove there relationship ?
2: He is not willing to give me the Original CAC certificate of his company, can I submit the photocopy?
3: I'm presently a residence in UAE,is it okay to include my employment letter ?
4: I plan to include my wife's birth certificate plus my Son's and a landed property( agreement document between me and the seller ) , Is that okay to prove home ties ..How can I prove to be a married man? We only did intro and traditional.. No court wedding papers.
Thank you in advance for your response and good luck to everybody . |

It wasn't Masters, it was an UG... I applied to Dal 2 weeks ago and I've been accepted. So, I don't necessarily need my WAEC result for my TRV application ? makano: When u were applying to ur school for masters, what WAEC result dis u use? Use dt one for ur Student permit, although WAEC isn't a compulsory document for applying for TRV. |
