Music/RadioRe: Hip-Hop Beefs: Real Stuff Or Commercial Gimmick? by dude(m): 1:48pm On Feb 03, 2006
yeah!! but i really think the artist most times are Just victims of the Record Company's stunts. i think and really believe the Labels have a way of Engineering these beefs without the Artist them selves knowing they are being Remote controlled to beef each other while the companies sit back to feed on the returns the beef will generate. and the amazing thing is that the beefs most times usually emerge from very very Lame issues, but end up flying. i think most of those artist need to be schooled a little. but what the Heck? it's always been their way. The other Name for Hip-Hop is Beef!!
Music/RadioRe: Hip-Hop Beefs: Real Stuff Or Commercial Gimmick? by dude(m): 5:53pm On Feb 02, 2006
Artist are are fighting either over public money, copyrights infringement, or some socially mudane things.no doubt, beef between hip-hop artist is merely gimmicks to raise record sales. no one mentioned eminem and his "use to be" arc enemy Benzino. they reconciled after realising they were being used as camels while the record company sit back and made cool money off them. check the story out on

but i still cant find definition for naija's hip hop scenario. there own is on a whole different level
PoliticsRe: Chris Okotie (Fresh Party) For President In 2007? by dude(m): 10:15am On Jan 31, 2006
joftech:
as for experience, did uncle sege have any administration training or experince when he was turned in to rule nigeria in 1977?

I hope you did not forget that he was an army top-gun back then. All of them do undergo leadership trainings too, or do you think someone without training can lead a battalion.
@ joftec,
the kind of training military personnels undergo is very different from the kind needed to rule a country. i have a military background ( not saying am a military officer). the military system is simply that of giving and taking orders. and since Obj has military training, he might have been seen to have done well in 1977 as a military head of state, but has been fumbling through the Job since 1999 in a democratic system. as a battalion leader,he recieved orders from above, and he turn passed the orders to his juniors. all. but democracy involves imput at all levels.and uncle sege still suffers from that military mentality today, remember all his wahala with his deputy, and his ramblings about demanding total loyalty? its all a pointer to the fact that no soilder can be a good administrator(at least in africa). and besides, the militry is trained to draft out policies that is meant for defence, not for socio-political\Economical issues. so that is for you OGA JOFTEC, do some research and see what kind of training all military institutions give, Check NDA Zaria, School of policy and strategic Studies, Kuru and others.

If a 'not so schooled" obj can fair on, then a very schooled okotie just might do a whole lot better.
PoliticsRe: Chris Okotie (Fresh Party) For President In 2007? by dude(m): 5:59pm On Jan 21, 2006
Economics and politics are two things u never can claim to have total interpretaion of. they have fooled the worlds experts and made them look like novice repeatedly. so rev.okotie becoming president is not totally impossible by any permutation. as far as we are concern, we don't know how he intends to do his political manuovers, or what his plans are exactly. politics they say, is a game of numbers, so if the poical scene throws up many aspirants, they will definately be splitting votes, and if his grammar can earn him some "advantageous few" votes, he just might carry the day. lesson here is, don't ever underrate anybody.

as for experience, did uncle sege have any administration training or experince when he was turned in to rule nigeria in 1977? and he will be quick to tell us he did well. are we forgetting that there are laws that guide most of these process except that our leaders just choose to never do them as they should be. so if anyone will be telling us okotie is not right to rule nigeria, then nobody is fit to rule anywhere in the world. not OBj who cannot keep his libido in check and has a house hold he cannot even guide.

common peeps, i believe in that man. if for nothing else, he has my vote for all crticisms he recieved on this forum.
PoliticsRe: EFCC And Governor Joshua Dariye of Plateau State by dude(m): 5:31pm On Jan 21, 2006
true talk bolaoni,

the sad thing in this whole issue is that the poor masses who are innocent of dariye's deed will be at the recieving end of all this wahala. the Governor no doubt will not be affected because he has stolen enough to last him and his tenth generation to come a life of reckless luxury. truth about this is that the whole scenario if looked at deeply is political. this is clearly the hand of EfCC, but the voice of OBJ. all part of their dirty political wahala. but the pity here is that they dont even feel anything near pity for the Already improvished civil servants and the suffering masses who will be caught in the cross fire of their witch hunting political troubles.
PoliticsRe: The Gbenga Obasanjo Interview by dude(m): 6:05pm On Jan 17, 2006
Jakumo:
Dude my understanding of the Nigerian federal power structure is limited, but an educated guess would be that there are in fact many federal level contract-related approvals that do not require the signature or even the knowledge of the president, and that the dollar figures acquirable to corrupt Nigerian officials operating in that grey area would run into the 7-figure range.

Right from the start, Obasanjo may in fact have been fully aware and acutely embarrassed by his vice president's criminal career, but has been constitutionally unable to get rid of his bandit deputy. Whether or not Gbenga's comments reflect those of the president, the seeds of a future criminal prosecution of Atiku have been sown, and we shall all witness Atiku's earned harvest in the fullness of time.
the issue Gbenga raised was that of privatisation that the VP could not have done all the way without the knowldege and approval of the president. and everyone knows BABA and his VP are at loggerheads in a dispute whose immediate cause is not too clear. so if baba was all that clean, he would have faulted his Vp with corruption and used that to get Rid of him from office(remember Ladoja). and constitutionally, anyone who is suspected to have converted public funds is to be tried irrespective of his office. all baba has to do is give the Judiciary the Link, and the VP will fry. but since the entire presidency is corrupt, they can't afford to throw stones.as for future prosecution for the VP, believe me, baba will have a whole lots to answer
PoliticsRe: The Gbenga Obasanjo Interview by dude(m): 4:23pm On Jan 16, 2006
oga jakumo,
please tell me (us) exactly where big bros "am fighting corruption" uncle sege is while his deputy is looting the treasury blind and busy converting public asset to his name. if Gbenga strongly feels the Vp is corrupt, and the vp is serving directly under his dad,we then can imagine the sincererity about the whole noise the president is making about fighting coruption, after all, na water wey touch head dey roll come neck
all of them are corrupt..shikenan! uncle sege inclusive
PoliticsRe: The Gbenga Obasanjo Interview by dude(m): 5:37pm On Jan 13, 2006
weather it was an interview or a harmless discussion should take the background. Gbenga said it, and he has not denied making those degoratory comments. so telling us it was a discussion he percieved harmless is very LAME. he was merely interpreting the thoughts of the first family, and as someone rightly pointed out...all na their family table talks!

But the Bobo Flipped the scripts...ko easy grin
PoliticsRe: The Gbenga Obasanjo Interview by dude(m): 7:50pm On Jan 12, 2006

Jakumo:
Gbenga Obasanjo's comments were made in confidence to a reporter who had been allowed to ride in Gbenga's car on the return journey from a public event, and Gbanga probably had no idea he had been speaking to a journalist until his candid private comments made newspaper headlines.  Certainly a hard lesson has now been learnt by the first son regarding whether or not to utter a solitary word to any Nigerian hack in the future

In all probability the statements Gbenga made about Vice President Atiku are absolutely true, as it is generally known within Aso Rock that Atiku is the most pathologically greedy and corrupt public official whose paws continue to scoop from Nigeria's treasury daily.  It will be ineresting to see if Atiku dares travel to Europe or America after he leaves office and decides to start squandering his loot stashed in offshore banks.
we should not leave substance and chase shadows. if gbenga thinks the VP is corrupt, and his dad is clean then he has missed the whole point from jump. govt hierachy is an all round approval.the flow of communication on all BPE approvals...begins with the DG, to the Vice President, to the  (Federal Executive) Council and finally to the President”. The buck stops on President Obasanjo’s table. If, through the privatisation process, “they sold the entire  country to themselves” and “stole over one billion dollars” from a single deal, President Obasanjo will be summoned by a future probe panel before Vice President  Atiku will be joined. This is because the deal could not have gone through if the President had not put his golden pen to it.

as for sawore hating the obasanjo's, this should be reasoned logically. i mean why should gbenga
talk in confidence to a his family's enemy? or go all the way to grant him an interview?believe me, all politicians knows which press house love them and hate them, they even know which journalist\columnist are for them and against them.so was gbenga's vision blurrred to have mistook sawore for a friend? something stinks here. or will u tell me the whole interview was a complete forgery?common..get real man

PoliticsRe: President Obasanjo Wants a Third Term? by dude(m): 6:19pm On Nov 19, 2005
i sincerely think baba is interested in the 3rd term issue. else he would have in his usual style be quick to rubuke those apostles of 3rd term agenda. but he has not done so, so the question is: is he for or against third term? he's merely trying to test the waters to see how deep or shallow nigeria's will react to his 3rd term. but he just might get drowned. quote me: there's no way he's going to succed. he will again soon come and tell us he was "pressured" into the 3rd term debacle.

no magic will scale him through this,as for 3rd term project, it's not feasible. OKPARI
PoliticsRe: Movement for the Defence of Democracy (MDD) by dude(op): 9:24am On Nov 18, 2005
@tolu, I get the point you are trying to make. but my actual interpretation of this whole scenario is that a house causing most of the country's problem is divided against itself.

At the same time, I don't believe we should lose faith in the whole system. I dare say we still have some credible politicians left, except that such people never actually get to serve. Be that as it is, let's give these new set of people [the benefit of doubt].

I mean if Audu Ogbeh got kicked out because of a letter he authored to baba insisting on change, then we should watch him carefully and see exactly what he and his crew are up to before outrightly writing them off. He probably realised he couldn't fight baba if he remained in PDP, and has therefore opted out to create a social change.

I will just say it's too early in the period to arrive at a conclusion.
PoliticsRe: Movement for the Defence of Democracy (MDD) by dude(op): 11:00am On Nov 17, 2005
latest development is that Baba has callled on all PDP party chiefs not to join MDD.and clearly, the PDP party leadership is not comfortable with this new group. as they have been making frantic efforts to get these people back to their fold. now if tony aneineh is so sure of his party's strength without these set of people who's one foot is already out of the party, then why is the party making moves to reconcile these these folks back to them. or are they beginning to loose grip on power?

even if these politicians are still the same old people with a new name (pouring old wine in new bottle), i still think this new development is a positive one. because with this split, PDP will no stand as one to rig election. and there's no stoping any possibilities that more splits will occur, and make them useless.
PoliticsMovement for the Defence of Democracy (MDD) by dude(op): 9:11am On Nov 15, 2005
Erstwhile PDP national chairman (chief Audu ogbeh) and 79 identified others most of whom are PDP have Floated a new forum called Movement for the Defence of Democracy (MDD).they claim it’s only political group (quoting lawal kaita of PDP) and not a political party. Their grievances which came to head with the recent PDP revalidation exercise where they lost out is rooted in the long on going power tussle control of the PDP.

While this might signify the beginning of the end for PDP (from which ever angle u choose to view), a question that readily come to mind is how this new group hope’s to take on the Almighty Obasanjo and subdue his draconian syndrome. Noting in mind that he has the full control of INEC, public funds, control of all security forces and of course, the dreadful EFCC.

While this new body might have found a way to raise funds to battle the presidency, and the PDP most of them are part of, how do they hope to fight the ruling party which have state apparatus to their advantage?isssue here is they wont be playing on a level field. How be it.. I forsee casualties on both sides. This development is certainly not a plus for the people’s destruction party.

Responses please.

PoliticsRe: Bayelsa State Governor, Alamieyeseigha, Arrested In London! by dude(m): 12:31pm On Nov 10, 2005
now the already imponded gov's wife has been hijacked alonside her husband. it's been suggested that she will be charged with aiding and albeiting financial crime(whatever that means).
while i dont hold any brief for her, or have any personal relationship with the alamiesiya's, i think this whole battle of fight against corruption is being taken to an unreasonable proportion.  i mean..if her husband is alleged to have siphoned public funds from a goverment she's not part of ( at least constitutionally), and she's been held on grounds of aiding him, then i think that is just not fair. wont be suprised if they eventually clamp down on their children.

how be it, i think this whole arrested issue is a point to a lapse in our legal system. because if we were efficient, we wont be leaving our duties to foreigners.

strictly my opinion...ur say?
