Looks like this space has moved to different telegram and whatsapp groups. The Idea is to share information here both for past and future applicants. Create those separate groups does not help the community. |

Marcopolo65: Hello everyone, how can my sponsor living in USA send me money for proof of funds here in Nigeria? What channels of sending the money are accepted or acceptable to migri? Thanks
PLS THIS IS URGENT I'd advise you to use a domiciliary account in a Nigerian bank and have your sponsor send it directly to that account. Note you need the transaction to reflect in your sponsor's account statement. |

Hi all, I updated my profile to have a sibling with PR in Canada but my score did not change. The province is Quebec, could this be the reason or does it take some time for the score to be updated. |

babakb: After your graduation you can apply for 1 year residence permit to remain in Finland and look for a Job, after securing a job within the year you will be granted temporary residence renewable every 2 years as long as you're employed, after 5 years of Temporary residence you would be granted permanent residence, after 5 years of permanent residence you would be granted Citizenship.
Trust me, you can ONLY secure a job there if you master the Finish Language, regardless of academic achievement and work experience without mastering the Finish language you can't secure a Job there.
Remember that Finland is part of EU and Shenghen, Citizens of these Unions don't need a work permit to work in any of the member countries but you need one, you are gonna be competing with people that are favoured by the system, and it's quite easy for EU and Shenghen employers to employ the Unions Citizens than outsiders...
The only way you stand a chance is to master the Finish language to native level before you finish your studies there.
I have never travelled out of Nigeria before, I get all my information from the internet Some corrections; After graduation you can get 1 year work permit to secure a job, most people in IT do not need Finnish to secure a job. Basically you just need to secure any job with a permanent contract that gives you at least 1100 euros after tax and you will be granted 4 years work residence permit (type A permit). On the basis of citizenship, you need to have lived in Finland with a type A permit for 5 years and pass the Finnish language test. Study permit which is type B with 2 years on this is equivalent to 1.5 years type A. |

You didn’t state the occupation you have experience in and the one you are nominating I have work experience as a Geophysicist, which is from Nigeria. obaxlove: Hello,
Please for those with PhD admission, what are the steps in applying for Finland residency permit.
Who you advised a married person to apply with his wife and children? Are there pros and cons?
Is there anyone going to University of Turku?
Thank you. It depends on the amount you will be paid, please check migri website for the requirements to apply for family. I would advise you move with your family, also contact your supervisor for advice on this. All the best. |

Knight1: The place to start on all eligibility for skilled migration to Australia is https://www.anzscosearch.com/points-test/ The Website actually has a lot of information, but you start by calculating your points. Select the 189 visa while testing and from what you have written, I think you should be able to have a minimum of 75 points on 189.
If you do, then decide which your profession you want to access with - especially one that is related to either/both of your degrees and click each of the tabs inside ( Visa Options, S/T Eligibility, Backlog etc) The backlog will serve as guide as to how many people you are competing with, so in case there are two professions you may be eligible for, choose the one with less competition.
All the best Thanks for the info |

Kimkalash: Good afternoon guys. I arrived Canada a few hours ago and still waiting for my connecting flight to Newfoundland.
The flight was lllloooonnngggg. Ethiopian airlines is so cheap and underrated. Please try it if you have time for the stopovers.
I know you can't generalize but the border officials and immigration personnels were super nice. The guy even came to the queue, took our documents (LOA, Tuition receipt, passport and the Declaration card we filled on the plane )and issued our permits without stress. When I went to check in my luggage, the attendants were so humble and attentive.
My guys don limme go Vancouver sha. Arriving St John's after midnight.
Still so speechless I don't know what else to say Congrats, I assume you are going to Memorial University. Please I need some info on the application process, kindly drop me an email rukeoredia@gmail.com so I can contact you. |

Send an enquiry email. electromagnito: I did a PhD interview on 22nd of November with a prof at TAU, with high hope, I believed i was going to be selected because i have sent my CV and summary of my master's thesis to the group leader. After my PhD interview he told me he knew my supervisor and even told me to extend greetings to him he then continue by saying "i was the best applicant so far" so he told me to send my full master thesis to him and he will in return send me article related to the PhD programme i applied for.. I did and he sent me some article. Its been almost 2weeks now and i have not heard from him. Does this mean he deceived me and reject me? Why will you send article to student you won't pick for a phd? I am really confuse here. |
