Technology MarketDo You Still Remember NITEL Call Card ? by Duke007(op): 7:09pm On Oct 17, 2016
Ok, We were in the ninety's when NITEL was Lord of the manor as far as phone services was concerned. There was little or no competition for them, hence they dictate the pace. This call card was one of the means of providing seamless access to telecommunication services in the country. it is a prepaid card used at public phone booth.

Trust Nigerians, We devised means of reducing the rate at which the card reads at the phone booth. Donot ask me how. So, is any one out there who used this card. Please share your experience so that the indomie generation can learn.

Christianity EtcRe: Comedian Performing In The Church, Sacrilege Or What? by Duke007(op): 12:54am On Jul 03, 2016
No fee is being charged, it is free of charge.
Christianity EtcComedian Performing In The Church, Sacrilege Or What? by Duke007(op): 12:42am On Jul 03, 2016
This issue is really bothering me such that I am unable to sleep. A very popular comedian has been invited to my church to perform this morning and I find it very disgusting that God's altar will be desecrated by allowing him share the same rostrum with my pastor.

Even though no gate fee is being charged, I believe that it is against the principle of our Lord Jesus Christ to reduce the church to a place of entertainment and feel good. While growing up, Sunday services used to be very 'hot' such that the impact of the message will be on all thru the week days. But now, the reverse is the case.
I want objective and scriptural contribution from my brethen. Is this practice scriptural or not?

Science/TechnologyRe: Nigeria To Send An Astronaut To Space by Duke007(op): 2:18pm On Apr 06, 2016
Let us for once be optimistic about this prospect. This research in space technology will ultimately result in great strides for Nigerians. Lot of discoveries will be made which will help to improve our lives. Come to think of it: do you thin that America government spent billions of dollars for the fun of it for it space research? Do you you think that the international space station is for ego purposes? A lot of scientific discoveries were made from this outlets in medicine, engineering etc. for example, do you know that America has pioneered the making of clean drinking water from toilet waste water and this is among the water astronaut are drinking at the International space station.

Nigeria can learn alot from this venture.
Science/TechnologyNigeria To Send An Astronaut To Space by Duke007(op): 12:07pm On Apr 06, 2016
The Nigerian government has announced an ambitious plan to send an astronaut to the moon by 2030. This was disclosed by the minister of science and technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu during a speech in Abuja recently.
The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) has launched five satellites since 2003 with three still in orbit delivering vital services for communication, weather monitoring, security, etc. The minister disclosed that Nigeria will partner with China to develop its capability for the project. This will make Nigeria the first black nation on earth to send an astronaut to the space.

Great news for the nation.

TravelSterling Bank Gives Out Free BRT Tickets by Duke007(op):
I was transmutting from Ojota to Stadium this morning and was told by the ticketing officer not to pay my bus fare as Sterling Bank has paid for it. True to his word, l saw a bank official taking head count. I was very impressed that the bank is giving back to the public.

Is there any one that experienced same gesture today?

Car TalkRe: Reasons Why You Should Own A Diesel Car by Duke007(op): 3:10pm On Dec 15, 2015
Diesel engine runs cooler because the engine provides higher torque at low prices which implies that you can operate the engine slower with a taller gear. It has less engine friction and more efficient combustion process.

How much do you buy Petrol now. Petrol sells for 120 while diesel sells for 110 naira. In the present Nigeria, diesel is cheap and readily available. It burns slower in comparison to Petrol. What this implies is that at any given journey you would be using lesser quantity of diesel compared to petrol.

Diesel technology is well advanced and at such diesel car are environmentally friendly.
The only component that differentiates it from a petrol engine is the fuel injection pump which is easy to maintain. You may not even touch for a couple of years depending on your maintenance culture.
Car TalkReasons Why You Should Own A Diesel Car by Duke007(op): 11:00am On Dec 15, 2015
With the current fuel scarcity being experienced across the nation and it's attendant effects on our lives, work and economy. It wouldn't be out of place to switch over to diesel powered automobile. I saw one at Ikeja yesterday and was excited at the ease it got its tank filled up with diesel fuel. Enumerated below are the reasons why every Nigerian should own a diesel powered car.
*They have more useful life than Petrol engines
*They have better fuel economy
*No risk of fire accident with the fuel
*The fuel is easy to store with minimal risk unlike Petrol which is very volatile
*Diesel engines runs cooler compared to a Petrol engines
*Diesel engines requires less servicing
*Above all, You don't have to waste your precious time at Petrol station trying to fill up your tank because it is always available. Diesel no dey scare for naija. Go get your own diesel car today.

FamilyRe: Cobra And Monitor Lizard Killed In A Bed Room by Duke007(m): 7:34am On Nov 17, 2015
I hate it when people tell lies for self glorification. A critical look at those things tells me that they are plastic caricatures of the creatures. Who kills a snake without mutilating the body? Is it possible to kill an animal without a drop of blood? Look at those things and tell me if you see any drop of blood? A child can never stay close to those dead creatures. So, who is the Op fooling? Certainly not me.
AgricultureRe: Selective Herbicide For Watermelon. Help If Any by Duke007(m): 5:08pm On Nov 16, 2015
Do not use any glysophate on your farm, it is a non selective herbicide and would kill your plant on contact. I will advice you do manual weeding. Next time, let your cultivated land fallow for 14 days after ridging, then you apply diuron , premenstrae or any pre-emergence herbicide before planting.
