Politics › Re: International Friendly - Catalunya vs Basque: Lessons For Anti-Biafra Nigerians by Duru1(m):
obailala:
It's funny how these largely young Biafran separatists have failed to educate themselves and always point to Spanish separatists and Scotland as perfect examples of nations separating without conflict. Just for your information, Nnamdi kanu was actually right when he said no nation separates peacefully. Scotland has been fighting for independence for centuries and it hasnt always been peaceful. Similarly, the Basque group in Spain has been fighting for independence for ages and their struggle has not been a peaceful one. The Basque separatists at some point were even involved in bombing airports and mass killings. No nation sits back and watches its territory being balkanised, not even an Igbo president will sit back and watch part of Nigerian territory being carted away by one group called ipob or massob.

So the big question is, are these young boisterous and naive separatists ready to sacrifice their lives, the lives of family members and their livelihoods over the election loss of an Ijaw man?... (because no matter how we look at it, the recent escalation of agitations were triggered after the elections). Unlike the 60's when the entire Igbo race was united in this cause, how many comfortable, truly educated and truly enlightened Igbos do you think are actually interested in this crazy road to perdition?... I for one am not interested in it for simple reasons.
Per the bolded, USSR and Czechoslovakia countries which readily come to mind that separated into countries with no shot fired in anger.

Two secessionist states, Catalunya and Basque will be involved in international friendly football games for their men and women tomorrow, saturday December 26th 2015. These are two different nations fighting for separation from the Spanish state. No rancour, no envy, no bitterness.

Now my question is... Why does the issue of Biafra generate so much hatred, bitterness and wickedness in Nigeria? Why do certain people feel threatened whenever Biafra is mentioned? Why do Nigerians wish death on harmless and peaceful pro-Biafran protesters? Why can't we learn from these Spaniards? Why is there so much hate in Nigeria?

Please mature contributions only. If you don't have anything reasonable to say, just read and pass.
The groups playing soccer with each other are human beings while the groups clamoring to kill any agitator for Biafran cause are none human beings with intellect below that of animal.

For 6 years our own occupied the offices of Deputy Senate President, Deputy Speaker, SGF, Minister of Finance /Coordinating Minister of the Nigerian Economy, Ministers of Health, Aviation, Labour, Petroleum (by Marriage), Chief of Army Staff etc yet nobody complained that the Igbos got too much of the Federal Power rations neither did your highly placed brethren improve your lot in terms of development!
Other ethnic groups watched carefully and played their politics towards national relevance while we the Igbos got carried away and played politics of the pocket where semi-illiterate money bags charted the cause for us!

Those who have access to Aso Rock and got fat contracts sustained the lies to hoodwink both Aso Rock Gods and the Igbos. In blind response devoid of any logical reasonings the Igbos put all their fragile eggs in one basket that had lost form and shape to protect them.

As the results of those fatal errors set in the same money miss roads are now fanning the ambers of secession as their next meal ticket bargaining chip while the teaming youth they lure with money and lies risk losing everything including their lives for nothing in the end.

Compare the Igbo TAN money bags and/or failed politicians to the likes of Aliko Dangote, Mike Adenuga, Femi Otedola who are hardly seen or heard playing partisan talk less of ethno-religious politics!

Imagine Dangote gathering the leaders of Northerners in Lagos and imposing political party or candidate in Lagos State politics on them. Such is near impossible!
The Igbos have allowed derogatory pocket politics to puncture their natural nobility as a people!

With men of honour and class like Ebitu Ukaiwe, Emeka Anyaoku, Ndubisi Kanu, Ben Nwabueze and others the Igbos should have no business listening to the likes of Ifeanyi Uba (Capital Oil), Nnamdi Kanu, Chris Uba , Ben Nwazuruke and Other Greedy Big Belly Animals in Human Skin etc any time they talk politics!

Foolish IGBO!!!
One of the most nonsensical crap I ever read. The agitation for the realization of Biafra is not predicated on federal government handout or lack thereof but ideology which time is here. I guess the so-called Ihejirika should realize that the official commencement of Radio Biafra predated the GEJ's arrival in the office as president of the cesspit called Nigeria. I had rather listen to Ifeanyi Uba (Capital Oil), Nnamdi Kanu, Chris Uba , Ben Nwazuruke than the foolish and compromised fools such as Ebitu Ukaiwe, Emeka Anyaoku, Ndubisi Kanu and Ben Nwabueze

shit! Which love and who's dishonest here?

This thing is becoming too disgusting and boring, is Rochas the only politician that dumped a party for another.

They can claim any state indigene to degrade Imo but we know where they come from. Let's leave Imo state alone, which point do we want to buttress sef?

The truth can't be hiden, Rochas is working and real Imolites love him and that is why they voted him back. Those politicians from neighbouring state who are saying that Rochas belongs to Hausa party now that Nnamdi kanu is being persecuted on Igbo curse by federal govt what's their stand rather they seat back in their comfort houses and allowed their helpless and frustrated innocent citizens who were simply demanding for their right killed by federal forces.

I'm tired of this blackmail campaign against Rochas and Imo state.

They are making things boring here, we should be discussing of Igbo development on social media like this not raising critics and blackmail against our sister states and changing peoples perception about these states.

Truth be told, which state in SE is better than Imo state. Or which state in the North apart from FCT is better than Imo state, even their almighty kano, sokoto, and kaduna can't be compared to Imo state.

This xmas, when i was Coming back from the North i passed Imo state and I was pleased with the beauty of the state.

Following the continues agitation for Biafra, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic (PDP) in Benue State, Chief Abu King Shuluwa has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to quickly look into the agitation happening in some parts of the country over the creation of Biafra and not make the same mistake the government of former President Goodluck Jonathan made in handling Boko Haram issue.
Shuluwa in a chat with newsmen in Makurdi recently, he said;
“Boko Haram continued during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan because that government wanted it so. I don’t think President Buhari would want Biafran agitation to continue. If he does, then he is playing with fire.”

“There should be dialogue between the elders and representatives of the Igbos and the Nigerian government to bring the current Biafran agitation to an end. Buhari should assemble the Igbo elders and if they insist on going, he should let them go with their oil and we who are remaining will find other means of survival.”
“Igbos are business people and are all over Nigeria. Those who are agitating now were not born during the Biafran war. We want to know from their elders and representatives whether they want to go or not and it should be granted them but who will lose?”

Again, those agitating for biafra today are in the minute minority. They are primarily ill-advised youths whose minds have been corrupted by people like Dede1, who used to come here for youth pollution activities. IPOB youthful members are victims who are being used, much like the Boko Haram foot soldiers, because of the hopelessness the youths face due to unemployment.

The good news is that this government has already planned massive economic stimulus packages included in the 2016 budget which would jumpstart the economy which was wrecked by GEJ and his thieving thieves.

Oga, he has not been granted bail on the current charge. The man appears to be a serial criminal.
Per the bolded, what the power house of knowledge advocated yesteryears have come full circle today. My people say when an adult takes a child's toy and raised his/her hand up, when the raised hand of the adult starts to ache, he/she will surely bring down the toy. Again, the amalgam of political philosophy behind the agitation for independent home land called Biafra is not predicated on massive economic stimulus packages initiated by a silly government led by classical fools.

Our laws allow for folks charged with crimes to be held until they are bailed out. He was charged for a separate crime which the authorities have every right to do. There are probably 10 - 15 criminal charges awaiting Kanu.

Bros where do you reside? The dude, Nnamdi Kanu, has been granted bail by the court yet the government refused to obey the courts ruling. Your intellectual, physical, and spiritual superior, Ojukwu himself chose to remain in this great country and fully participated in politics. You need to retool and learn how to build coalitions to protect your political interests in this great country. No one is interested in sacrifising the lives of hundreds of thousands of the good people of Nigeria.

You are well advised to keep biafra in you minds and hearts. That is where biafra belongs and no one can take that away from you, but as far as a physical entity called biafra, carved out of this great country goes, you people are on a very looooog tin.
Look pal, Ojukwu's period has been blown over like a harmattan wind. Most of the kids agitating for Biafra as an independent homeland have mothers born or not born during civil war. This is a new world order and Nigeria does not have basis for unity according Gowon in 1966. If Gowon knew there was no basis for unity in 1966, it is very sorry that more than 40 years later, Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB and MASSOB arrived at the same conclusion as Gowon in 1966.
