Politics › Re: Steer Clear Of Lagos, APC Warns Biafran Protesters by Duru1(m): 5:18pm On Dec 15, 2015 |
DitecForum: The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has warned those planning to hold demonstration in Lagos under the aegis of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB and the Independent People of Biafra, IPOB, to discontinue such attempt to plunge Lagos into crisis as the state will not take kindly to such nefarious plan. The party stated that with the heightened security challenges the state is facing, it would be foolhardy for any group to hide under the guise of

https://djwalexinfotech.com/Webfiles-files/files/Biafrans-504x322.jpg protest to compromise the security of the state and be allowed such privilege.
Lagos State Publicity Secretary, APC, Joe Igbokwe, said there is no way the state would sit idly by and allow politically sponsored hoodlums masquerading as Pro-Biafran protesters or any group at all to compromise the security of the state where the state has invested hugely in recent times.
It warned those behind the plot to “arrest themselves as the security agencies led by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni, has vowed to deal ruthlessly with anybody or group found to be involved in such protests. We hope the will of the law enforcement agencies in Lagos will not be tested at a time like this.
“As a party that governs Lagos, it will be derelict of us to watch a group of politically-sponsored hoodlums tamper with the tight security system that has been effortlessly put in place by the state government to combat increasing crime rates in the state. We cannot allow these hoodlums, sponsored by politicians that failed woefully in the last general elections, to unleash mayhem on peace loving Lagosians so as to achieve dark political aims that run parallel to the interests of Lagosians.
“It is obvious that the sponsors of the planned protest want to throw the state into needless mayhem by their act but the state will be ready to mete out to them the appropriate antidotes for such folly. Knowing full well that whatever they purport to represent is alien to Lagos and Lagosians, we wonder what the evil masterminds of these purported protests want to achieve in Lagos if not to plunge the state into unmitigated disruption and crisis and we state that Lagos will not allow such plans.
“Knowing full well that hoodlums are meant to capitalize on any so-called protests to unleash mayhem on Lagosians and compromise its tight security, we have no doubt that the brains behind the protest have very sinister intents the state will not allow,” APC stated.
The APC warned market leaders that were involved in this plot or allow their markets to be used for such dangerous activities to desist from such as the state would not only hesitate to show such market leaders the exit from such markets but would also take measures to ensure that such markets were not used as hatcheries for dangerous activities.
“We warn every market leader to desist from acts or plots meant to weaken or compromise the security of Lagos as the state will henceforth take measures to ensure that any market that allows itself to be used as grounds for acts that compromise the security of the state will be thoroughly scrutinized to ensure bad eggs are forced out of such markets.
“We urge Lagosians to be law abiding and report the masterminds of such evil plots that endanger the security of lives and properties in Lagos to appropriate security agencies for prompt action as we restate our support to the commitment of the present Lagos State government to guarantee maximum security of Lagosians,” the party said

I travelled to orlu today and I saw how orlu that I used to know have greatly transformed into a modern neat city. There are many good roads with double lane and big structures built by Rochas with street lights coupled with a clean and serene environment. This can only be achieved by a visionary leader. The road leading from owerri to orlu makes a pleasurable ride With what I saw today,it will be very stupid of anybody to say Rochas has failed.I want to commend the governor for been a transformation leader a governor who came and turned things around.I am proud of you Owelle. agabusta: Its no big deal to purchase Bullet proof jeeps for all Former Head of states. When the one they are using gets old and due for replacements. By law, they deserve to be properly protected, and that responsibility falls squarely on the FGN.
But if it is the cash earmarked for Arms purchase that was diverted and used for that purpose, then Dansuki is guilty of misappropriation.
Why didn't he make a request to purchase bullet proof cars for Ex Head of States in the 2015 budget? He is just forming smart, and trying to use that as justification for other illegal purposes he used the arms money for.
The bullet proof jeep, GEJ went with now, when it gets old, it is the responsibility of the FGN to change it for him. But it should be properly appropriated in the budget.
Not that they will take money meant to buy arms and use for another purpose.
It is called stealing while using good intention as an alibi. It is funny most Nigerians are longer shouting appropriation! appropriation!! appropriation!!! When did the government appropriate for the replacement of bullet-proof SUV for former the head of state? |

Politics › Re: Nnamdi Kanu Sponsoring Terrorism Against Nigeria – SSS by Duru1(m): 1:22am On Dec 15, 2015 |
dayo23: A counsel to the State Security Service, SSS, Mosses Idakwo, on Monday told a Federal High Court in Abuja that the director of a pirate radio station, Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, was sponsoring terrorism against Nigeria. Mr. Idakwo asked the court to disregard a bail application by Mr. Kanu’s counsel, Vincent Obeta, as the matter involving his client was terrorism-related. He said the SSS had evidence of bank accounts owned by the accused person where monies (both in dollars and pound sterling) were allegedly used for financing acts of terrorism against the country. Mr. Idakwo told the court that Mr. Kanu had dual citizenship of Britain and Nigeria and therefore could flee and escape justice if granted bail. He also said the bail conditions issued by the magistrate court were yet to be perfected by Mr. Kanu, who is also the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB). But counsel to Mr. Kanu dismissed the SSS claims on the grounds that they were speculative. He told the court that his client had long offered to meet the financial requirement by the Abuja Geographical Information System, AGIS, for ascertaining the authenticity of the properties belonging to the surety, but that his offer was rejected by the SSS. Mr. Obeta told the court that the SSS had on four occasions flouted the order of the magistrate court, adding that an order had since been given for his client’s release on bail. He said the request by the SSS to further detain Mr. Kanu for another 90 days, as provided by Section 27 of the Terrorism Prevention Act, was a negation of his client’s right.
Mr. Obeta also said his client had been in detention for 90 days. After hearing the arguments of the two counsel regarding the bail application, the judge said he would look into the matter, setting aside Thursday, December 17, to deliver ruling on Mr. Kanu’s bail. Mr. Kanu had been in detention at the SSS cell since his arrest in October by the secret service operatives.
http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/195192-nnamdi-kanu-sponsoring-terrorism-against-nigeria-sss.html?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter Besides acts of terror precipitated by Boko Haram, Nigeria has not witnessed any terrorist act. How could any lawyer make such unfounded allegation. The counsel to SSS has already lost the case with such a reckless pronouncement. |

ketchupBoy: No, Gowon could not simply call for Ojukwu's arrest.
the eastern government had to be recognized as a legal separate country by the Nigerian authorities, but it wasn't, If Gowon could not call for Ojukwu's arrest, it means he did not have legal or military authority over eastern region. One wonders what pedigree Gowon has to divide eastern region into state other than provocation. |

Truckpusher: Eastern Region wasn't a separate entity or a sovereign state and the Nigerian military has every right to deploy their troops to any part of the country. Eastern region became a separate entity when the military governor of the region did not recognize the position of the coupists who killed the head of state. Gowon could not venture into eastern region or have any authority over eastern region. If Gowon had such authorities, there should be no civil war. Gowon could simply call for Ojukwu's arrest. If eastern region was not a separate entity at the period in discussion, why did the federal government of Nigeria led by Gowon attend the Aburi peace conference? |

It only Nigerians that ignorantly think war when self-determination is mentioned. You once claimed to be educated but lack every symptom of learned person. Europeans have seen countries divide into two without a shot fired in anger. Is this candor elusive to Africans? Why must anybody think war because certain group of people simply want to depart from the imperialistic creation such as Nigeria? Again, clarity is the hallmark of well educated individuals. Ojukwu was importing South African and French Mercenaries, and was also importing weapons from black market weapon dealers, its a sign of treason Bros I have no time with people who seemed apathetic to historical facts. Truckpusher: Now that you've borrowed some sense from your neighborhood dog. Lemme reply you accordingly. Stupidity is when you're being lured to fight a fight you are well aware that the odds are against you in all ramification. I guess stupidity is when ill-educated jackass forgot what "ARABA" stood for. Nobody lured anybody into war in the context of Nigeria/Biafra war. However, it is only moronic Africans will indulge ill advise of the colonialist to wage war against fellow Africans. Today, the British are drinking cool-aid in their homes while Nigerians are still embroiled in a decade-long squabbles. Nigeria remains unprogressive today mainly because of the civil war. And I shall bet you that Biafra must be realized. However history shall be very harsh on us. |
