Till date, the biggest gain that the Arab world has against Israel came in the Yom Kippur war, in which Anwar Sadat used his over-ambition to lose victory he has already secured. He had to de-escalate/negotiate and back down or risk losing majority of his army to thirst and starvation. On the Syrian side, the war ended in disaster for them. No army is totally invincible quite alright, but we know who always end up with the highest number of casualties at the end of every attempt at war/aggression against the Israelis by the Arab world.
