Eagul: Dygeasy can you see what your decision has caused your team? Don't even feign ignorance of the private email one of the contestants sent you a day before the competition was meant to kick-off. I'm sure you were told to postpone and also asked to cancel the interviews. If you want to see screenshots here, then just deny and watch your reputation go down the drain. About three contestants sent me messages that they didn't have their photos and the answers to the profile questions we sent them ready. You cannot rule out the possibility of those things happening. I've tried to be high-handed as far as this contest is concerned, some people think I'm overdoing it or too harsh. Some even think I don't have normal human emotions. Lol If I start laughing with everyone, won't you accuse me of being too friendly and consequently biased? How can we proceed with a contest in which a good number of the contestants haven't provided their details? |

SniperX: Fynestboi boy didn't bring the interview. Actually when he organised a private interview for the contestants, Dygeasy asked him to stop, saying there's already a planned interview in the offing for the contestants.
Go look for the thead, you wasted moronic mandrillus chimpanzee.
This is how you go about making baseless statement like an epileptic major sufferer.
You just assigned yourself Nairaland's chief ïmbecile personified I asked him to stop because Tosyne2much and Wristbangle were already making plans to commences their own interviews which is more recognized since they've been doing it and they were working with me. |

TSOM: I'd resolved to restrain from being actively involved in the brewing controversy but not when I see hypocrital comments like yours.
Mizmycoli, have you no shame? Even when you've been discarded like a piece of soiled rag, you still not-so-subtly try to force your way into the laundered pile of fine garments.
You'd even eat poo just to stay relevant and to score cheap brownie points to further the need to always seek validation.
Everything about you is pure attention-seeking. Little wonder you're infamous as Nairaland's hypocrite numero uno.
Tosin sure made valid points and his courage to be candidly opinionated sure stands him out in the assembly of hypocrites like you.
Shame on you, sycophantic favour-seeking hypocrite! Boss, everything is not the way it is painted. That some of us aren't in the many cliques a lot of Nairaland members are in doesn't make things said about us true. I bet everything you know about me is all hearsay. You haven't related with me before and a lot of other people haven't. Tosin might be opinionated, it still doesn't make him right. I have only chosen not to turn this issue into something we'll keep dragging back and forth. I chose to be respectful even with all the jibes being thrown around. That being said, MizMyColi remains one of the reasons the contest is a success that it is. Have you noticed every member of the organizing team haven't been showing up? They want it that way, and there are wonderful and amazing people putting in a lot of efforts to make this work. It's not all me. Trust me. So you might as well sheathe your "sword" of words because you have only heard a one sided story if you heard a story. |

Mortiano: i you need to move on from what tonye said before it degenerate to something unpleasant. you are the umpire, so quench the wire, i love the maturity in which you reply the op, so let it die there. Moreover if you feel some people are no longer compatible working with you, you do the needful, last time i checked, you are still the umpire That's not even the case. It just hurts seeing comments like that. I've been attacked since the start of this contest and nothing has gotten to me. That one did get to me. To be honest. Thank you very much though. |

walmovich: Good morning Dygeasy, I think i should draw your attention to what you fail to realise, the truth remains that if the reason you stated was why u shifted the contest date.... I must tell u got it twisted. Am just stating the obvious because.
Majority of those contestants dont have a team and havent campaign for one day even individually ever since the campaign thread was opened, that was why they didnt forward their info's, those that were ready did as asked cause they were ready.
I know u are trying to be fair in ur dealings but honestly it aint worth it. But u have already called the shot and we shall wait.... What are you saying again bayii oo? I've done wrong? They all sent verification photos to the official email. We sent them emails to their email addresses with the official email address. I mentioned them on this thread. They didn't respond. I did not fight them. I shifted the date so they can have enough time. Na me still do wrong. Ko ye mi. Please explain. |
Romance › Re: Voting For Mr Nairaland Without An Interview by Dygeasy(m): 7:09am On Jul 12, 2016 |
Mortiano: why not have a sort of preliminary elimination or qualifying stage and fish out unserious contestants. i believe not all the so called 30 contestants will be ready or are serious for this contest. in that way, the number will be reduce and real contestants will emerge for the interview and subsequent processes to elect the new mr nairaland. thanks This is being considered. We're only trying to figure out a way to create a fair playground for all. But as it is now, they might all have to be interviewed before anything else. You get? |
Romance › Re: Voting For Mr Nairaland Without An Interview by Dygeasy(m): 7:07am On Jul 12, 2016 |
mimzy: This is much appreciated.
Thanks for shedding light into this issue.
Good morning TosTos There is no light in that. Tosyne2much has drawn his conclusions too hastily and I'm still at a loss on why he made that post. We haven't had any discussion about this recently and coming on here to make that kind of post when ideally conducting the interview was a personal discussion hurts. It's difficult to make any comments regarding the interview cos of that comment. Note that if I didn't want anyone handling the interview I wouldn't have let it hold in the first place. Nobody requested for it. It wasn't part of the process in the past. But I incorporated it and now I'm still the devil here. We just cannot predict one another can we? |

SniperX: Exactly the point. The contestants are 30. If 5 contestants are scheduled for interview in a day, in 6 days all 30 contestants would have been interviewed.
All pageantry has to have interview session. He should set up people to help him I'll reply this post. Your account is new too. Good. 5 per day and in six days you say? I hope you will be around when you keep getting emails that they want a reschedule for this reason or that. It was a lot of work swapping during the Miss Nairaland Contest with just 11 contestants, how much more 28 guys? Think about it. It's understandable that you all think the people involved in organizing have no lives off here, but the contestants do. |
Romance › Re: Voting For Mr Nairaland Without An Interview by Dygeasy(m): 4:25am On Jul 12, 2016 |
stealth12: Dygeasy, you need to explain this I wanted to avoid clumsiness and dragging of the whole process for too long. I had no idea the interview guys felt I was shutting them out and taking all the glory or credit. The interview was only fully incorporated this year so I don't get where all the grouse and energy is coming from. I just hope they're able to figure out a way to interview 28 guys and achieving the purpose of the interview within a short time. It might as well take a long time anyway. The interview isn't even my work! I'm sorry guys. I was considering the human beings (and not robots) that do the work. The interviews will hold. The contestants should be prepared. I no get energy for all these wahala. |

SniperX: And Dygeasy displays yet again gross tendency of incompetence and lack of ingenuity.
From enacting rules he couldn't execute or even interpret, to modifying the same rules without interpretation.
He has announced there would be no interview for the contestants as a prerequisite to gauging their intelligence, IQ and sophistication. Isn't this guy jamming his brains with too much mental exertions he can't possibly pull off? The unpredictability of the contest!
And he refuses to seek help in the fear of being relegated.
Now we are just to vote without having a one on one or hands-on with the contestants or having them air their views on important issues.
Dygeasy, please seek help, don't ruin this pageantry.
You almost killed it irredeemably in the last Miss Nairaland contest, now you have sunk this one deeper than the Cotahuasi Canyon of Peru.
Dump your ego, boy. Get people to help you.
I understand you're still a student and your exams may well be about the corner.
Dont ruin your life's course because of online pageantry. Your life seems to rotate around the orbit of Mr/Miss Nairaland pageantry; this is the singular event with which you calculate the worth of your existence.
Dont be a loser, set up a panel to help you which would enable you handle your degree and life properly.
Be wise. Mr Nairaland comes once a year, your life is for all time. Align your priorities if you have any brain in your cranium case. I am very sorry Sir, what I thought as thoughtful on my part was a very inappropriate move. It won't happen again. I am really sorry. I apologize for that sincerely. I'll await Tosyne2much and Wristbangle to draw up a schedule for the interviews for all 28 Contestants. Thank you very much. |
