The threat God issued to adam and eve ' and you will surely die' meant nothing to them. It's like me saying dont do x or an allicrocoshark with a jet pack will eat you. In fact, replace 'die' with 'truuwhdhh' and see how much sense it makes to someone who has not encountered death.

If this is an act of God, he is being deliberately and willfully malevolent. Therefore he is not omnibenevolent.
