Established bloggers've nothing to fear as most of them include disclaimers after articles, most established bloggers even recieve money from the government as a form of public relations. PassingShot: Wrong for APC to deny the 100 day in office promise.
However, Nigeria is already witnessing unprecedented change in some key areas that matter: 1. Electricity has improved despite that the Otuoke man promised us to expect better supply by March 2016.
2. Blocking of wastages and loopholes have resulted in increase in our foreign reserves despite that GEJ/PDP practically emptied same. They met it at $47.7bn, sold crude at average of $100 per barrel and still found a way to reduce the reserve to just $29bn. Incredulous!
3. Better accountability with income has resulted in increase in allocation to the three tiers of govts despite reduced income from crude sale.
4. The fight has been taken to the Boko terrorists unlike the other way round in the past.
5. Our image has experienced a positive outlook and no Ghana Prof or Kenyans can dare insult our dear country.
6, Stealing is NOW corruption and everybody seems to be keying in.
7. Some refineries have started working since July as against the 2016 promised by PDP
8. NNPC is being restructured so that it returns to profitability very soon.
No regrets supporting PMB/VPYO. Let wailers wail for it's their destiny to do so. Broda mii, help me understand why General Buhari cannot publicly declare his assests as promised. |

I mean you don't need the money stolen by Jonathan administration to fulfill this particular promise abi? I'm glad i wasn't scam by broom carrying party but their environments are dity. This particular promise is always going to be a recurring decimal in General Buhari's stance as a man of Integrity. |

SirDorianGray: I really don't understand what Sanusi meant there. Before WW2 germany was 1 country afterwards it was divided into 2 - West Germany (a Federal Republic) and East Germany (a socialist state). It took almost 60years for the 2 countries to unify in 1990. I don't think this qualifies as Germans finding peace. Not finding peace, but mutual respect for others. |

When it seemed Sani Abacha was sympathetic to Abiola, the South-West supported his take-over. He was in fact invited by a prominent NADECO member to take over in a published letter shortly before the event. Just like Sai Buhari has been invited to rule. Let's pray history doesn't repeat itself. |

[quote]When Buhari jailed UPN governors like Ige and Onabanjo, the South-Western press castigated that good government and provided the right mood for IBB to take over power. As soon as IBB cleared UPN governors of charges against them in a politically motivated retrial, he became the darling of the South-West. When IBB annulled the primaries in which Adamu Ciroma and Shehu Yar Adua emerged as presidential candidates in the NRC and SDP, he was hailed by the South-West. When the same man annulled the June 12, 1993 elections in which Abiola was the front-runner, the South-West now became defenders of democracy.[quote] |

I agree with you. Good governance? When we all turn a blind eyes that the President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria views me as a five percentile (5%). . Good governance, when I go deaf to what a respected muslim cleric said, that nobody owes Igbos anything. . Good governance? Only if I agree to drown in the lagoon with my brothers because I dared to vote contrarily to others. . Good governance. |

The Yoruba elite were the first, in 1962, to attempt a violent overthrow of an elected government in this country. In 1966, it was the violence in the West which provided an avenue for the putsch of 15th January. After Chief Awolowo lost to Shagari in 1983 elections, it was the discontent and bad publicity in the South-West which led to the Buhari intervention. . Don't you just love Nigeria. Every other group will blame Nzeogwu (Delta Igbo) for the kasala of 1966, but will conveniently forget what led that young man and his group to strike. . Igbos should be watchful, we hated more today because of Jonathan a Ijaw man. We are being called the 5% because of another. Again they will gain, while we lose. |

There are Igbo men on the street who were never Biafrans. They were born Nigerians, are Nigerians, but suffer because of actions of earlier generations. They will soon decide that it is better to fight their own war, and may be find an honourable peace, than to remain in this contemptible state in perpetuity. . Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB comes to mind. |

After the First World War, the victors treated Germany with the same contempt Nigeria is treating Igbos. Two decades later, there was a Second World War, far costlier than the first. Germany was again defeated, but this time, they won a more honourable peace. Our present political leaders have no sense of History. |

I say all this, to support Balarabe Musa ´s statement, that the greatest problem to nation-building in Nigeria are the Yoruba Bourgeoisie. I say this also to underscore my point that until they change this attitude, no conference can solve the problems of Nigeria. We cannot move forward if the leadership of one of the largest ethnic groups continues to operate, not like statesmen, but like common area boys. |

For so many years, the Yoruba have inundated this country with stories of being marginalised and of a civil service dominated by northerners through quota system. The Federal Character Commission has recently released a report which shows that the South- West accounts for 27.8% of civil servants in the range GL08 to GL14 and a full 29.5% of GL 15 and above. One zone out of six zones controls a full 30% of the civil service leaving the other five zones to share the remaining 70%. We find the same story in the economy, in academia, in parastatals. |
