Nigeria has been good to some people, so it is worth celebrating. . . . . . . . . . . You can be a Billonaire in Nigeria without paying a dime in tax, how many other countries can give you that? You can make a lot of money in Nigeria without being creative or intelligent, you don't even need to trade anything or manufacture anything or render services....... you only need to know oga at the top......... Which other country will offer you that opportunity? |
what of money given to family in respect of business that never yielded profit.......should it be forgotten? |
Some of these politician will die saying....:...."Nigeria has been good to me." Happy Independence Nigeria.... The Labours of Our Heroes past shall not be in vain. |

It's been long a read anything from Jerry Can(sorry boy). But after going through the interview, I was reminded of another General who has been quiet for a long while. The person is General Oladipo Diya. Any update on this fine gentleman, Diya? |

Amaechi is a politician who has no permanent friend or enemy. But CP Mbu is a career man, in the nations Police Force Hope Mbu will not be left behind, when the Politicians decide to make Up. |
Sincere 9gerian: I'm currently watching a Glo Nigeria Premier League football on Super Sports. The match is between Enyimba and Akwa United at Aba Stadium. Sincerely speaking, the Aba pitch appears to be best maintained natural grass pitch in Nigeria (outside the recently re-grassed Abuja Stadium). I'm really impressed with what I'm seeing.A guy who defends the indefensible, will never surprise me. |
My mum......dad is late and as her only boy...... I have to look out for her...... |
POLICE IS YOUR FRIEND. Op, you took a risk, albeit the fact that it paid off. They could easily shoot you dead "in their station" and label you a criminal... But on the contrary, I doff my hat for you. Your courage is worth emulating. |
whoever owns that building knows something. |

The mass media is a powerful tool, and the internet has made the world a global village. A forum like Nairaland is gradually being recognised by the print media in Nigeria. A time will come that even foreign print media and news agencies will be lifting quote after quote from NL. |
atlwireles: People need to define the federal government's role in education before we assign a percent on the budget. There are states spending 30% of the budget on education. I will like to know, how Ghana's education system is managed.why not do a little research on you own? |
eGuerrilla: I was referring to the national education budget - N4.987 trillion for 2013; Human Capital Development (i.e. Education and Health) – N705 billion, according to Overview Of Nigeria 2013 Budget, By Ngozi Okonjo-IwealaYou get energy to quote budget figures. This country cannot advance or progress the way it should if government continues to ignore the education sector. NO COUNTRY RISES ABOVE THE QUALITY OF ITS TEACHERS. |
duality: I can bet my one month salary,( though not too big for now) that you support some of them directly or indirectly.I wish we can see Face-to-Face, I will be happy having your one month salary. Shey na which wasteful politician you don see me support? I am neither for PDP, APC, APGA, ACCORD Party, FRESH party and all other rubbish parties springing up here and there. What makes you think ASUU, and other unions cannot cripple the government if they all down tools at the same time? I don't think you realise the power of organised Labour Unions. |
atlwireles: ASUU and their Union brothers clearly shows, why the power of the federal government must be limited. Look at their demands, what a pot of crap. These UNIONs should understand that they wield so much power and they can use it to bring our politicians back to their senses. |
duality: And thereafter what happens? think about it.Cripple the economy and bring back the Government to its senses. How can a few hundred politicians hold the rest of the country to Ransom. Why is our "DEMOCRAZY" so wasteful? Think about these things and come back to tell me that ASUU the organised union of University Lecturers are making insensitive demands. |
duality: My question isMaybe this is the revolution we are clamouring for. Bring the Nigerian Government to its Knees, cripple the economy. NUPENG, PENGASSAN, NAN, NBA, NMA. etc. come out and make your demands maybe it is time we take this revolution to an Angle the government won't expect. |
Sincere 9gerian: Did you even read through many of those DEMANDS? Do some of them make sense to you?WoW! Sincere 9gerian is asking for what makes sense in Nigeria of 2013........ Wonders shall never end. So the take home pay of SINators, H. of RepresentaTHIEVES, and that of GEJ makes sense? Awwww......don't I just love the HYPOCRISY of the average NIGERIAN. |
