He was rescued by Igbos who were said to have stoned him, having known the deadly consequences that would have ensued. No one kills an OPC without a reprisal, never has it happened & never will. Igbos are not the security agencies to whom the order was given. And by rescuing him, Igbos in those potentially hotbed areas can now sigh a relief as their heads could now be guaranteed of staying on their necks.
