I just like law and order and constitutionality to be upheld at all times. Otherwise all of us dey trouble. I got you. But the police didn't use the word arrest. They actually escorted him out of the collation center. Maybe Ganduje went to pick him up from whichever place they kept him, definitely not jail. |

oluwaahmed: There are many foolish people like u on this thread who only reason with their anus. People like u who depend on "the nation" for news in places like rivers state. AAC can never win election in rivers its highly impossible. Its impossible because people don't even know the guy, no campaign poster anywhere in PHC environs. And for your info, the army has never been able to win ND militants in the war. Scores of soldiers and navy personnel have been killed, why do u think that they called for amnesty in the first place? When avengers was raiding and destroying pipelines, where was NA. They even issued a threat to PMB that he will die if he came to phc, the gworo coward sent osinbajo instead. Don't be fooled Nigeria will collapse if those guys go back and If they do there will be no going back. FG should leave PHC alone its good to let sleeping dogs lie. There are so many small boys forming E..rats on Nairaland. So they won't understand what you are trying to say. Make soldiers arrest Asari or kill him, then go ahead and install the AAC man as governor. When the Militant boys start, na the whole Nigeria go hear am... Moreover the war on BH is still raging on and if Buhari is serious he will need the oil money to prosecute that war. We for SE na siddon dey look we dey. Make SS stand up like men and defend their territory. |

Honor10: oga! the only thing SW need is Buhari support, as long as he support SW, SW is coasting to victory Buhari is not a party man like Tinubu. When Buhari finishes his tenure, I doubt if he will travel the length and breadth of this country campaigning for APC in 2022. |
Politics › Re: PDP To Zone 2023 Presidency To The North by eagleeye2: 6:57pm On Mar 11, 2019 |
dyydxx1: Let's look at this dispassionately, if any zone deserves presidency in 2023 on the platform of PDP it should be SE because of there unwavering loyalty since 1999. If SE cannot even emerge through PDP then they will never emerge. As I have said you can't reap where you didn't sow so that even says a lot. I'm telling you that a PDP northern Presidential candidate and an APC northern Vice Presidential candidate will definitely battle it out on equal terms of it has to get to that. And at the end of the day that is what counts I remember stating somewhere that other tribes in Nigeria will never elect a SE (Igbo) president. I don't delude myself in thinking that an Igbo man stands a chance for Aso Rock. No. So, the PDP is not likely to go that route because they know they will lose. And it's a sure thing that APC is going for a Southwest Presidential candidate. And the natural thing for PDP to do is to pursue a Northern presidential candidate. I agree the North will have a divided vote, but the Southeast and the south south will tilt towards the PDP candidate. Thus my calculation is that the division in the South will be the undoing of the APC in 2023. Power is all about interests. |
Politics › Re: PDP To Zone 2023 Presidency To The North by eagleeye2: 6:43pm On Mar 11, 2019 |
dyydxx1: Let them try it. They will lose. Anyway I still personally don't believe PDP can be this stupid but it's welcome if they did. My point still stands, Buhari is not on the ballot so we can at least agree no northern bloc votes for whoever the influential Northerners are. Either as PDP presidential candidate or APC VP candidate. So it will be interesting to actually test this and do away with assumptions. But either way the road to victory doesn't pass through the SE. This governorship elections should have shown you that the Northerners are voting based on there own local issues and interests. They are politically astute and will definitely support a VP so that they can reclaim power in 2031. It will be about position. If this is PDPs game plan they will lose again PDP can't be that stupid you say? It is the political astuteness of the North that will make them to gain from the division in the south. Yes, the SE don't determine who rules or not. But are you willing to bet that the politically astute North will pass over on the opportunity to continue in power after Buhari if it is presented to them on a platter? Think about that. |
Politics › Re: PDP To Zone 2023 Presidency To The North by eagleeye2: 6:39pm On Mar 11, 2019 |
dyydxx1: It's there turn. Since 1999 you have had South almost 13 years in power. We are still leading them sef, so for equity it's good. The Northern power brokers understand this and that is where your own miscalculation driven by irrational anger is Why should I be angry? Now you just said the South have had 13 years, and you think the North wouldn't want to balance up and even surpass them a little. Power is taken and not given. So forget any thought of equity and fairness when you talk about power. |
Politics › Re: PDP To Zone 2023 Presidency To The North by eagleeye2: 6:28pm On Mar 11, 2019 |
dyydxx1: Igbo votes are inconsequential in presidential elections. There is a well tried pathway to get there without them so no be today. The core North my brother aren't as stupid or power hungry as you make them to be and this is a fundamental miscalculation. In any case it doesn't matter who the SE supports they won't determine who wins. SE can stay on there own nobody is secretly wishing for a coalition with them especially Southwest. We prefer the northerners because they don't practice politics of hatred and are more astute than you guys Of course they are not as power hungry as make them and Buhari a '76' years old and Atiku '72' old both Fulanis are the best APC and PDP fielded. I don't delude myself to that extent. |

Politics › Re: PDP To Zone 2023 Presidency To The North by eagleeye2: 6:23pm On Mar 11, 2019 |
dyydxx1: PDP will not pick a northern politician and even if they do I believe it makes an APC victory even more interesting. See MKO abiola defeated Kano even in Tofas ward largely because of kingibe so an APC candidate will as of necessity choose another matching influencial Northern VP. It doesn't matter if SE give PDP block votes they will come up short. And as Buhari isn't on the ballot. Nobody will get Northern block votes it will be a vote according to choice and preference and let the best man carry the day You want to compare MKO era and now? Have you ever wondered why that particular election was annulled? And please don't tell me about OBJ. The truth is that the North has seen the division in the south and will capitalize on that to continue in power. All PDP need to do is to field someone who is widely accepted in the North and the rest is history. Moreover, you will agree with me that Buhari is not a party man who will go out of his way to see that APC continue in power. |

dyydxx1: But the thing is the North will pick SW over you guys or have you been deluded to think otherwise. You guys seem to be betting that the North will perpetuate themselves in perpetuity but they are more politically astute than you guys. They will support SW so it can return to them after 2031. If the Igbos don't embrace coalitions and drop all these politics of hatred they will never rule Nigeria You actually think the North cares about being fair? No. Power is what the core North cares about. The more divided the south is, the better for the North to remain in power. The Southwest are equally regarded as infidels just as the Southeast and south south. Embracing coalitions, you say? when the same Igbos are threatened at any given opportunity to be wiped off because of the selfishness of the southwest politicians. Maybe the Igbo political class may seek for coalition with you people. But the ordinary Igbo on the street is not going to enter into any coalition with the southwest. Let APC present their candidate in 2023 and see how the Igbos will vote. Though our votes don't count (as claimed) but when the time comes you will see Igbos voting for the continuity of the North in Aso Rock. |
Politics › Re: PDP To Zone 2023 Presidency To The North by eagleeye2: 5:48pm On Mar 11, 2019 |
nwanyionitsha: Who is nobody? Abeg, speak for yourself. You guys are cracking me up here. He is talking of Nobody as if he is everybody. What the southwest has to bargain now, is prayers that Buhari kicks the bucket before 2023. Igbos have accepted their fate, which is, that no other tribe in Nigeria is willing to support them win the presidency. So we are ready to support the North to continue ruling and hope they provide enabling environment for our businesses to thrive. |
