I am based in Abuja but come to Lagos State once in a while. Now because of my unfamiliarity with Lagos roads, I decided to use public transport this morning.

I was at one of the Oshodi parks when I started hearing "eko" "eko" "eko". I moved closer to the conductor to ask where the bus was going and with a sachet of dry gin in his mouth, he harshly said "Lagos". That wasn't my destination but as I was looking for a bus going to my destination, I kept pondering, no be the same Lagos we dey abi is there another Lagos in Lagos?

Lagos is a City consisting of two hemispheres: Lagos Island and Lagos Mainland. Anytime you hear Lagos when you're already inside Lagos, just know the person is referring to Lagos Island(eko, idumota, CMS, obalende, ikoyi, VI, Lekki, Ajah) If you're driving it's also on the direction boards.

I remember my ordeal with one years ago, I could remember vividly I was in high school, SS1 precisely then and the conductor wanted to play smart, he thought because i look like one fresh ajebutter then he could mess with me; I gave this hoodlum 500 Naira to drop me at my bus stop and he was to give me change of 420

but immediately I asked him after we were close to my bus stop, this guy started denying that I didn't give him 500 naira blah blah blah, he started cursing and I immediately changed it for him, I told him and the driver that if they didn't give me my change that the danfo will not go anywhere, infact I was ready to brawl with the agberoish conductor that stinks from excessive weed and dry gin, the few passengers left inside the danfo started begging until they gave me my change and I left them..

When I got home and narrated everything that transpired to my mom, she was angry and was like "what if something terrible happened to me, what if i got hurt blah blah".

But the fact is that if you aren't smart in Lagos, alot of people will take advantage of you, you have to be street smart and shine your eyes if you want to survive in Lagos.

don't go about fighting dirty for money less than a dollar which might cost you your life. Being street smart is not all about dragging. Sometimes you can prevent things about coming by smartness

What a wicked driver! From CUDA to UCTH if you pass in front of Doriso hotel is less than 3 minutes drive and he allowed this Malabite die. I wonder how he will sleep at night and how he'll keep his face and pretend when news filters about a young man who was knocked down at that spot. Why was he and how can he even be driving without light?
I really wish investigations could be made and this wicked driver arrested and prosecuted!!

Driver is at fault and has a spiritual and judicial case of manslaughter to answer. A colleague of mine back in the days was exactly in this scenario and crushed a woman who use to dish food for him to eat because the woman operated a buka. The guy rushed her to a nearby hospital, reported himself and was crying all night when the woman was finally declared dead but that honest action he took to save her was appreciated by the family who forgave her. It was devastating because the woman had a very little baby at the time. It's a crazy world

As we bury T.B Joshua today, we must not bury some of the Christ-like virtues that made him outstanding.

I kept thinking throughout the night – was this how Jesus came, performed miracles, fed the poor, healed the sick and did other good works, but the people despised, hated and killed him? I am not equating any man to Jesus, but T.B Joshua demonstrated more Christ-like virtues than many “God’s Chief Registrars, Chiefs of Staff to Jesus, Assistant God, Deputy God” parading our pulpits today as “masters of the universe”.



They told us how ‘evil’ he was, but were silent on his matrimonial success. He had just one wife and they were married for 31 years… This is Christ-like.

He was Christ-like more than many of his critics whose followers know the “Man of God” than they know the God of men. Whose followers know their ‘father in the Lord’ than they know Christ.

People of the World, please show me one T.B Joshua’s enemy. The same people calling him fake have fellow brethren they call enemies. The same people calling him false prophet have fellow ‘genuine’ pastors that they are not in talking terms with. The same people calling him ‘evil’ have fellow Christians they wish death upon… Between these people and T.B Joshua, who is more like Christ?

If Prophet T.B Joshua was ‘evil’ and he healed the sick in the name of Jesus, fed the poor, built hospitals, schools and houses for the needy, brought peace to nations of the earth, then I like his kind of ‘evil.’
