@Snowwy you said Others are reading the bible and getting inspiration from the Holy Spirit and watch the programs and gain more insight, you are watching it to find fault then come online to criticiseWhat insight does one get from watching Ashimolowo asking for DOLLARS in Ghana ? Or watching Oyedepo asking for destruuction of enemies ? Or watching T B Joshua 'figthing with demons' ? You can bury your head in the sand if you please - but as you can see for yourself other people have opened their eyes and can see these charlatans for what they are |
@Snowwy, you said However, some people like Earswide seem to think they are only called so because they 'take' tithes and offerings and they are the ones that preach and lead people to Christ and are meant to be the ones to help the needy and be accountable for it, while he was not given the task to preach the word from what he has posted.Are you trying to guilt me into silence ? ![]() It wont work I am afraid - my lack of preaching the gospel does not preclude me from calling out the charlatans. So for example because I do not preach the gospel - I should accept that Jo Agbaje really did raise a dead girl ? Really ?? I am sorry Snowwy - I WILL KEEP CALLING OUT THE CHARLATANS (AND THEIR DEFENDERS) |
@Snowwy you said If there is nowhere in your bible where enemies are destroyed (esp those who refuse to leave you alone despite entreaties), then you should have found a way to ask the man of God where the scripture is that one should pray against enemiesYou guys cannot help yourselves - you are still trying to justify this charlatan. What do you mean by 'esp those who refuse to leave you alone despite entreaties' ? Why cant we just pray for God's protection ? Why add the destruction bit ? I still wonder how you seem to hate these 'charlatans' but you spend all your time watching their programmes and castigating them on nairaland.If you think knowledge is expensive - try ignorance. How do you think I came to my conclusion about the prosperity gospel - it was by watching a number of these charlatans and seeing the common flaws, cons and tricks in their messages. |
@Snowwy you quoted Math 15 If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.So why did Oyedepo have a dedicated service praying for the destruction of enemies ? Is it alright to call him a charlatan now ? |
@Snowwy It is not slander to say Ashimolowo is a con for telling people to donate U.S DOLLARS in Ghana. It is not slander to say Ashimolowo is a con man for telling people to 'sow a seed' for a 24 hrs miracle. It is not slander to say Oyedepo is a charlatan for telling people to curse their enemies.- Remember command number 2. It is not slander to say T B Joshua is a charlatan for faking healings and trying to bribe journalists. It is not slander to say Oyedepo is greedy for having 3 jets. I could go on an on. It seems stating facts is somehow considered slander by prosperity gospel advocates - this is where the problem lies. And finally it is certainly not slander to say Jo Agbaje is a liar when he says he can raise dead people. |
@Frosbel Regarding my approach to Jo 'I can raise dead people' Agbaje - he should be exposed for the charlatan that he is and should be reminded at every turn that no one is fooled by his lies. |
@Mr Jo 'I can raise dead people' Agbaje you said Are you born again? And what is your concept of salvation?I will tell you what I know is NOT salvation: 1) Giving money to the church, because I expect a reward 2) Giving money to the church, so that the pastors can ride in a private jet and luxury cars 3) Praying for my enemies to die 4) Going to church because I want to see signs and wonders 5) Accepting every lie told by the 419 charlatans. Regarding salvation, I like to think it is down to two things 1) Loving God 2) Loving your neighbour like yourself. If we follow these two simple yet difficult concepts then our salvation is assured. Salvation certainly does not include people believing that a charlatan like you is able to raise dead people. |
@Snowy you said One thing I commend you for is that you back a lot of your statements with scripture and this will never make you ashamedHow will Jo back up raising someone from the dead via SMS with scriptures ? ![]() |
@Mr Jo 'I can raise dead people' Agbaje By the way, does the remote raising from the dead only work on MTN or does it work across networks ? ![]() Mr Jo, you are a clown, one thing I will give you is that you provide comic relief. Keep it up ![]() |
@Mr Jo 'I can raise dead poeple' Agbaje Can I have your full address please ? Many people will like to come to you so you can raise their dead relatives. Oh I forgot - you raised the dead girl remotely. ![]() |
@Mr Jo I am PERSONALLY attacking you - you are a liar. You did NOT raise anyone from the dead. |
@Joagbaje you said Every believe has the primary responsibility of reaching sinners and getting them saved. If you embrace the real purpose of reaching sinners for christ, you will do well. Than embarking on a futile crusade of criticism .So you think only people who personally preach the gospel have a right to point out fraud - you are a joker Mr Jo. The girl was raised from the dead dude. And I helped the other guy to have his life back. And I have hundreds of cases and testimonies to God . I don't think you believe in miracles in the name of Jesus . What other proof do you want?You did NOT raise anyone from the dead. YOU ARE A LIAR AND A FRAUD. If you did raise her from the dead why was is this not publicized by CEC - or does raising from the dead happen so often in your church that it is no longer news ? On the CEC website there are testimonies about healing from cancer, back pain etc yet nothing about an incredible raising from the dead. ![]() You are a charlatan Mr Jo - and a crap one at that. what is this message ? ThanksThe message that says if you sow a seed (money) you always get a monetary return. The message that says good christians will ALWAYS be healthy and rich. The message that says it is alright for the pastors to have private jets while the congregations are dirt poor. The message that encourages you to give 10% of your income to the church even when you dont have enough to live on. The message that says it is alright to curse your enemies. The message that allows charlatans like you to parade themselves as pastors. |
@muskeeto The prosperity gospel is a seriously flawed gospel preached sometimes by mistaken but well intentioned people - however the vast majority of the proponents of this gospel are are frauds and charlatans. |
@Mabell, you said so what if oyedepo bought planes, what if ashimolowo told to give in dollars, so what if TB Joshua and Pastor Chris do miraclesThe part in bold 'how does it affect you' sums up your lack of understanding of christianity. I am not being personally defrauded by Josua, Chris and co but there are millions who are - what happens to these people. Remember 'Love your neighbour like yourself' ? |
@Joagbaje No, I personally dont preach the gospel to people - so I dont lead people to Christ. There are many others that do. Like I said in my earlier post - until you recant your lies about raising a dead person and apologise for posting the picture of a naked man (to prove you helped him to hospital) you cannot and should not be taken seriously. You defend frauds like Oyaks, Joshua and Eddie Long - that makes you are a fraud yourself. The message you guys preach has destroyed and is still destroying millions of lives - it is despicable. |
I am just reading up on the criticisms of Mother Theresa now so I will hold fire on her, however Oyedepo is a charlatan - who should not inspire anyone. |
@Joagbaje Nice try! Things must be getting bad for you prosperity charlatans. You attempt to explain away the fraud committed by you 419 charlatans as mere differences in the christian family. This is nonsense - what you charlatans preach and defend is FRAUD. You want us to accept that a pastor buying a plane(s) in the midst of poverty in his own congregation is a mere difference of understanding of the scripture - it is NOT, it is downright fraud and wickedness. You want us to keep quiet Benny Hinn, T B Joshua, Oyaks etc are faking miracles ? Why ? Who is going to speak up for the vulnerable ? You want us to keep quiet when Ashimolowo says we should give him dollars in Ghana ? We should keep quiet when he says we should sow a seed for a 24 hours miracle ? If our arguments were about 'What day is Sabbath' or something along those lines - your posting would make sense. However we are talking about FRAUD commited by your 419 charlatans in the name of God - I am afraid there can be no negotiation on my part. Anyone who defends these guys is either a victim or an aspiring fraud himself. you said We saw live on TV how the president knelt down before pastor ADeboye. Would he have knelt down before a road side preacher?This is just silly talk - the only people who compare to the 419 pastors is our politicians whose actions led to vast numbers of people putting their faith/lives in prosperity charlatans in the first place. Jonathan kneeling down in front of Adeboye does not prove anything!! Furthermore are you now prepared to admit you lied about raising someone from the dead ? Until you do, you can not and should not be taken seriously. |
@Papido I am still waiting for your response. |
@Godson2009 I am still waiting for your response. |
Instead you hear things like na mammy water, blood sucking demons were thirsty and all kinds of ridiculous stories from adults of normal intelligence.Very funny but true. ![]() |
@dorox Excellent! |
@inedi Thanks. So if I came to your house and say God told me to take your car(s) - will you give them to me ? |
@Adonn Are you saying only non-tithers fall ill ? This is the kind of st*pid talk that the 419 pastors say. |
@Tonye-t No more tithe teachings ?? |
@Tonye-T you said •Where was it mentioned that tithing was/should be abolished in the whole bible?I have told you to stop writing nonsense - things are not always spelt out explicitly in the bible. Like I said earlier - according to your reasoning 1) Slavery was not abolished in the bible - so we should still be keeping slaves. 2) Women were told not to speak in church - so Mrs Oyedepo, Mrs Ashimlowo and co should be told to stop preaching. Is this the 'tithe teachings' you told us to expect ? You will have to do better than this I am afraid. You cant convince anyone with your simplistic arguments! |
@Tonye-t Dont dodge - carry on your 'teachings' and let me demolish them. ![]() |
@Tonye-t Carry on your tithe 'teaching' - and watch me demolish each vacuous argument you bring forward ![]() You are a dullard who in his small mind thinks arguments are won by the pitch of the voice - arguments my friend, are won by facts. That is MY teaching for you today. I await your next teaching , |
@Tonye-T You can kiss my a*s - I can do insults too ![]() Why dont you address the points I raised: Women should not talk is in the bible and is NOT a law - so next time you see your MOG you should prevent his wife from talking in church (after all the MOGs, their wives and children are all annointed )Also why dont you start trading in slaves - since it was mentioned in the bible and is NOT a law. Your 'Not a law' argument is nonsensical in the light of the examples I have given you, I can add more for your dull brain if you like. You can carry on teaching tithing till the cows come home - only the gullible and vulnerable will buy your crap. |
@Tonye-t Tithing is indeed irrelevant and you should tone down your insults - what is 'satanic lies' ? You are beginning to sound like some sort of loonie. You keep going on and on about Tithing not being a law, so what ? In the bible it says that women should not talk in church - it is not a law, so we do we enforce it now? It is funny how charlatans and their supporters pick and choose bits of the bible often for financial gain. Why dont you encourage people to bring all their property to church and share it for the good of all as in the days of the early church ? It is only the tithes that the frauds can abuse that is encouraged. Again there are numerous references to slaves in the bible both in the New and Old testament. Keeping slaves was not a law so maybe you should pop down to your local slave shop and buy a couple of slaves. God gave us a brain so that we can use it - if he wanted us to buy the crap sold by the charlatans he would have made us less intelligent. Using your brain should tell you that getting the poorest in the society to pay tithes so that the likes of Benny Hinn, Oyedepo, Copeland and co can live luxurious lives cannot be right. Tithing is just a way for frauds and charlatans to enrich themselves on the back of the gullible and vulnerable. |
@ogoamaka99 dare2think and I have stated why we think these pastors are frauds - and yet you say you want direct answers. Direct answers to what ? To your questions about MOGs being genuine because of the size of the congregation or the 'calibre' of people who 'respect' them ? Surely as someone else has pointed out to you the size of the congregation is not an indication of the holiness of the pastor. The following pastors had large congregations but were proven to be frauds or sexual deviants - Jim Bakker, Jimmy Sawggart, Peter Popoff, Douglas Goodman, Eddie Long. I know you will not check these names out - maybe you are afraid to. When and if you check them out - you will realise the shallowness of your arguments. |
@ogoamaka99 A pastor who boasts about how rich he is, is a fraud - Ashimolowo, Oyedepo A pastor who the British governement discovered was given a luxury car purchased by church funds is a fraud - Ashimolowo A pastor who tells you to give a 'seed' and expect a miraculous return in 24 hours is a fraud - Ashimolowo. A pastor who tells christians to pray for the destruction of their enemies is not following the instructions of Christ - Oyedepo. A pastor who has three jets at his disposal when most of his congregation cannot afford proper healthcare is a fraud and is wicked - Oyedepo A pastor who has been ministering for over 20 years and claims miracles but cannot produce one verifiable miracle is a fraud - Benny Hinn A pastor who uses his coat to 'distribute' annointing is a fraud - Benny Hinn A pastor who charges money for a church service for crowd control is a big fraud - Oyaks. A pastor who is not allowed to broadcast claims of miracles by the Nigeria government must be a big fraud - Oyaks A pastor who fries his hair and uses a fake accent is a fraud - Oyaks If you need proof on any of these - I will be happy to provide it. |
@Azibalua you said Oops looks like someones shoes have been overusedReally you mugus are as unfunny as you are st*pid - you cant even come up with witty responses. |
