@swiftycool Lets leave other theories for now - answer my questions please: When people do parties, they give out FREE invitations so only those that have these invitations can attend. Why didnt CEC do the same ? How does N1000 improve crowd control apart from pricing out the poor ? |
@swiftycool The same effect could be achieved by printing a LIMITED number of free tickets on a first come basis ? Can you explain how a N1000 ticket controls the crowd better than a free ticket ? |
@swiftycool The only reason I have seen so far is that he charged N1000 for crowd management. When people do parties, they give out FREE invitations so only those that have these invitations can attend. Why didnt CEC do the same ? How does N1000 improve crowd control apart from pricing out the poor ? |
@swiftycool you said @post if you are ignorant about stuff why not try finding out. Do a research and find out about Christ Embassy inner city mission reaching out to poor families & abandoned children all over Africa. Also find out about the efforts and missionary works carried out by the ministry in Haiti and other devastated peoples. its better u research b4 u talk rubish, though i know u still would even if u did discover these good works anyway! Are you talking about the same Christ Embassy that charged people N1000 to attend the new year service ? |
@Jo 'who can raise dead people' Agbaje Matthew 25 31 - 46 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ 44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” |
Can anyone please explain why Adeboye and the others need planes ? |
@Thehomer Sorry it was a typo - I have corrected it. Financially accountable to their members ? that will be the day! |
@Jo 'the one who can raise dead people' Agbaje Have you raised any one lately ? ![]() |
Which of the following is/are true about these prosperity preachers - Adeboye, Oyedepo, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, Leroy Thompson? a) They take care of the poor in society by building free schools and hospitals with the huge revenues they generate. b) At least one of them says he has a $16000 dog c) They are NOT financially accountable to their congregation who donate their hard earned cash d) They all have private jets e) At least one of them says it is alright to curse your enemies f) At least one of them is having an affair/friendship with another preacher. g) At least two of them have established universities where the average member of their congregation cannot afford to send their kids to. Sadly - all of the above except (a) is true!! |
I am afraid the day Adeboye decided to have a plane - he opened himself to deserved criticism and scrutiny. |
@MrBible You said: It is now operation fire for fire prayers, because the kind of enemies we have today are not the type Jesus was telling us to pray for o! The enemies we have today are the Judas Iscariot type of enemies. It can NEVER be right to curse your enemies - Jesus did not make any exceptions about 'types' of enemies. |
@MrBible Are you saying it is alright to curse your enemies ? |
@Donnie You said They are cursing people and your madness drove you to collect your own share with this thread. How can curses from a fraud and his followers catch me ? Na yam ? ![]() |
@kandiikane Very well said! |
This fraud is telling people to curse their enemies!! What is happening to people ?? People still go to this fraud's church ![]() What did Jesus say explicitly about forgiveness and loving your enemies ? How can this fraud still be allowed to preach ?? @2buff It took me a long time to realize that these 'Men of God' I held in such high regard are actually frauds. The internet is one of the greatest things God has given us - go onto youtube and look for any of these so called MOGs and listen carefully to what they say. They are full of contradictions, ignorance and lies. Look in particular for Oyedepo, Benny Hinn, Creflo Dollar - you will be shocked. This is not about faith - Jesus Christ did come to the world to save us : these frauds are after your money. |
@2buff These prosperity frauds go on stage and say how they healed cancer, athritis etc (invisble conditions for which proof is hard to obtain) - and you think if they had really restored lost limbs they would not have shouted from the rooftops, come on think a bit! By the way you cannot show any pictures because they do not exist or they were fake. |
@dare2think I saw the Derren Brown video - very sad indeed. @2Buff You guys are so predictable, in the face of truth and facts you run away.Where are the 'before and after' pics ?. |
Why would anyone celebrate 30 years of an organisation where the leader of that organisation has 4 planes to himself while the bulk of the members struggle to educate themselves and cannot afford decent healthcare ? |
It is funny - it is not just that amputated limbs are never healed by the prosperity charlatans - they never even attempt it. Why is this ? I bet no one has ever seen Benny Hinn, Copeland, Oyedepo, Ashimolowo or any of the others invite an amputee on stage with the intention of restoring lost limbs ? Why ?? Because they are frauds!!! |
@Winner Chapel Members Dare2Think asked Thanks, cool that you replied. From the manner of your response I take that you are an objective individual. Before I start, I want to implore you to please, do not take my critique in a negative way, as an individual, just like you, I am entitled to my opinion and belief. Bishop Oyedepo, just like Osama,Abacha or Obama, has not offended or taken my "tithe", for me to be furious or upset about him. But does that mean I can't state my feelings about some activities that, in my opinion, does not add up?Does anyone have answerws to these ? No insults please just logical answers! |
@Supporters of the airport If you ran a company what exactly would attract you to Lagos with erratic electricity, erratic water supply, crappy roads and horrendous traffic jams, unpaid and corrupt policemen, kidnappings etc (apart from a new shiny airport ) ? |
@olake After 'Love your God, ' - it is the second most important commandment. If we follow this commandment - there will be no problems in the world. |
@Frosbel I am glad that you see that not every person claiming to be a Man of God - is a MOG. |
@Olaadegbu I will be careful about Benny Hinn - he is a bit dodgy. Look at this video of him 'healing' with his coat: [flash=300,300] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9U_lWmAsYM&feature=related[/flash] |
@OLAADEGBU You are very right - we should not allow the charlatans to make us lose our faith. |
@Olaadegbu About the television - there are numerous references to this on the internet. Apparently the rules have been relaxed. |
@OLAADEGBU If 'most' pentecostal preachers are frauds - why are you surprised if every claim of healing is questioned ? The genuine preachers will be vindicated if their miracles are genuine. |
@OLAADEGBU I just read somewhere that members of Deeper Life are not allowed to watch television, is this true ? Also are there marriage committees to decide on marriage partners ? |
@lagerwhenindoubt - I thought you were one of the prosperity victims. |
@Olaadegbu Why would you choose to believe the words of men instead of the words of bonafide men of GodThat is the problem how do you know the bonafide men of God ? I am not inclined to believe someone who tells me the story of the eye with no proof of this - not even his doctor! The thing is most pentecostal pastors who appear regularly on TV are nothing but frauds who claim miracles as a marketing tool. I also think you are mixing things up - if a genuine miracle occurs, a doctor should be able to say that this has happened The doctor might not be able to explain how the miracle happened but he should be able to confirm the change in the patient. If no confirmation is forthcoming what stops anyone from making outlandish claims ? Any pastor who goes up on stage and talks about his miracles should be treated with suspicion! |
@OLAADEGBU In the first instance let me say this once again : I am a practising christian and I believe in miracles. Now to your point - there is nothing hard to believe about OBL been killed all it takes is a bullet. There is nothing supernatural about that. However I have an instant suspicion of pastors who go up on stage and say what miracles they have performed - it sounds to much like marketing. If you were that eye doctor that saw nerves growing into an artificial eye - would you keep it to yourself ? If so, please explain why. I believe that miracles from God are between the individual and God - all these pastors who boast about miracles are just out to make a quick buck. |
