Becoming a true Disciple

Disciple means follower, and Christianity is not a democracy where popular opinion counts. Christianity is a kingdom where the voice of the master is the ultimate. Jesus says if you love me obey my commandments, in other words no other way around our relationship with God. Unless you learn to listen to the master and the written word which is His commandments.
Someone once asked me what my ambition is. I told him that since I gave my life to Christ and made him the Lord of my life, I don't have personal ambition. My only ambition is to do the will of he who is the Lord of my life which is Jesus Christ. Anything you see me do is because he asks me to and I might make mistakes along the way but my focus is the will of my Lord. The devil is smart to know our personal desires and amplifies it to make us anxious and unreasonable to the will of God. Which will make our desires to be in conflict and we become deaf to the voice of God. Why our prayers and communication to God is centered on what we want, and has little to do with God's purpose for us and the Church. If you want to work in that peace that passes all understanding you have to step back from your personal desire and lusts and ask the Father 'what is thy will'. In the will of God there's peace even when it is accompanied with a valley of death, in that we fear no evil, because those that know their God, will do exploit. A true disciple doesn't follow his/her feelings or desires, a true disciple follows the master's commands.

I pray we turn from our personal lusts and search out our masters command and follow it to the glory of His name Amen

Walking in the spirit is an act of walking in love, obedience, prayerfully and insisting on doing the things that please God at all cost. If we put these things together and make it our daily routine, and a lifestyle, we will become the kind Christians the devil and his agents will be struck with fear whenever they see us. Because we will become a real treat to his kingdom. A Christian who doesn't work in love and obedience. Risk losing himself no matter how long he prays, the devil will always take advantage of him or her. Walking in the spirit became easier for me the day I learned the act of confessing every negative thought that crossed my mind. I never knew how powerful that can be, when I tried it, I discovered what Paul meant by saying we pull down every thought and make it obedience to Christ. It helped me to overcome lust, greed and every other act that corrupts the mind. Walking in the spirit starts from the mind, if you can learn the act of cleaning your mind, you won't struggle to walk in the spirit. And you can not enjoy, understand and mature in the thidecidengs of the spirit unless you walk in the spirit through self caution and Holy Spirit help. It means you will intentionally to stay Holy at all times no matter the struggle or ups and downs in life, you will insist on nothing but Holiness.

Prayers

Dear, Heavenly Father, purify my mind, thoughts and reasonings.

Dear Holy Spirit, teach my inner man the act of walking in the spirit and help me to benefit from all the blessings available in the spirit realm.

A Lot of people have the misconception that Jesus wants us to be poor here on earth, and some also teach as if Christ wants us to be rich desperately. If you follow this kind of teaching you will be frustrated here or lose your faith. The disciples of Jesus forsook what they had and followed him. When Jesus was teaching, it was hard for the rich to enter heaven. Peter wasn't comfortable and spoke out immediately asking the master the fate of them that left everything to follow him. Jesus assured him in our text above that he will first receive twice of what he left to follow him here on earth before eternal inheritance. This happened soon after the pentecost, they had so much, even new families were added to them. They had to appoint other people to start over seeing food for the new family. There's a time of learning, testing and reward. Because a lot of Christians are not well taught they are destroyed when going through testing or learning. Today Christianity teaches to jump on the reward first in the name of grace, which brings about many heart broken and frustrated believers. If we can be patient with Jesus, and walk his work knowing the seasons, the reward will surely come. The devil wants us to be desperate, so that we won't be patient enough to mature with integrity to be able to handle kingdom wealth. Jesus is searching for those he will hand over kingdom wealth, but he won't hand it over to desperate Christians. But to those who do what please the Father.

Prayer

Oh Lord give me divine knowledge to know and understand the seasons of testing, training and rewarding.

Dear Holy Spirit, train me fast enough to be ready for kingdom wealth which the father is about to release.

I receive the spirit of diligence, dedication, patience and understanding of times and season

One day while traveling from Edo state to Aba, I met an older man who was talking about success and how we must strive to be wealthy by all means. As he was talking with zeal, I calmly turned to him and spoke. "Any money that's above our daily bread and necessities is made for others and not for us" as he wanted to argue someone by his side said sir please let him explain. I asked him in the house you built, how many percent of that house do you occupy at a moment and how many percent is occupied by families and relatives. Since you occupy less than 1% in the house and families and relatives might be occupying maybe 3 percent of the same house that's yours, it means you are not the main beneficiary of that house. And this goes for everything as long as it is more than your needs. When you know that others enjoy what you make as a rich person more than you, you must approach wealth with contentment and peace of mind. The best wealth you can get is wealth gotten from a place of contentment, it comes with no high blood pressure and criminality. People of this generation have this misconception that when you are not desperate for wealth then you don't like being wealthy. Desperation is a recipe for crime and other ungodly acts. In the bible verse above God asked us to be content with what we have with a promise that he will never leave us or forsake us. Take a breath and put God first, trust me Jesus won't let you down.

Prayer
Heavenly Father come and take the lead in my life. directing me to make wealth with peace for the benefits of the gospel and the kingdom.

Heavenly Father calm my restless spirit, and don't let the wealth of the world make me lose my peace for I trust you knows better than I do.

DON'T' BE ASHAMED OF YOUR SCAR

The sign that shows bravery of every warrior is the scars shown on their body. If you don't have nothing to show for your bravery, people who know the act of war won't take you seriously. And these scars are also your weapon, it can win you a war without you shooting a single bullet, because when the cowards see the scar on your body they will be afraid to fight you. One of my scars won me a war recently. I was in a vision. A lady came to seduce me, and someone called me out telling me that the lady was sent to seduce me. I responded that I knew. Then I turned to the lady on the assignment and said to her, you couldn't seduce me when my late wife just died, is it now that I'm emotionally stronger? You want to seduce me? Immediately I said that she became angry, started insulting me and ran away afterwards. When I got up from the vision, what came to my mind was let no man trouble me for I bear the scar of following my master Jesus. I don't know the scar you have whether it is still fresh or healed, the devil might still come during or after the fast to test us as it did our master Jesus. But just know that your scar is your story and not something to be ashamed of. Face it with assurance you are not alone, and if you have had yours, It can be anything from struggling with sin, life or spiritual. Don't be ashamed to share your victory, because this fasting will make us bolder in sharing our victory in Jesus.

During this fast I had a vision of different kinds of animals on fire crying with human voices, and I called them out and gave them permission and conditions, to leave the territory and any day they returned they would die, and they were happy and ran for their lives with a promise never to return back. Jesus has given us authority to take kingdoms and cities, not the kind of authority we practice begging God to help us take on what he has granted us authority over. Just imagine a police officer calling on the president to help him arrest an offender. The police officer should know he has failed in his duty. When I was in Delta state a group of witches had sent someone to negotiate with me to stop sending fire everywhere at night and they promised never to attack any member from my then Church AG. All the 3 places I have started new Churches in, my method has always been the same, bind the strong man of the house first. Gentle in the day, violent at night in prayers. You stand in our way and you lose your job or life. We came to take over the city not to play. And we kept announcing that in our services with a shout, "Jesus has come" everyone take cover. You can't live in peace with the devil until you subdued him and spoil him. He doesn't listen to endless bible verse quotes as done by the Pharisees but he listens to words of authority as spoken by Jesus. You can't take over dominance in the name of Jesus, until you allow Jesus live in you and through you for all to see. For that is where true authority is.

Before the fasting I had a vision. A man came with a group of people to Christ Glorious Church and was trying to divide the Church, a lady I was with began to rebuke the man and threaten him, saying she would beat him and kill all of them. And I heard a voice asking me what I would do to those men and women who came to divide the Church. I told them that I'm a pastor and I can't fight, so I will love them and pray for them. When this group of people heard what I said they became so furious, and asked me why I would love someone who came to harm me and scatter the Church. And I was wondering why they are angry with me who chooses no violence than the lady who threatened them. When I got off from that revelation the Holy Spirit told me that love is the best and most effective weapon to use to fight the enemy. That's why the enemy was angry. As a child of God when you reach the level of unconditional love, you have reached the highest level of Christianity, the devil will be desperately afraid of you. That's why our savior commanded us to love even our enemies, not just those who care for us. a lot of practical examples to share about those who treated me badly, after many years of treating me badly and they turned around to care because I refused to treat them with the same attitude they did me. Love conquers all, as you fast forgive those who hate you and treat you badly. Give yourself a chance to soar in the spirit. The result will amaze you.


Prayer

Oh Lord remove hate from my heart and fill me with forgiving and loving spirit

Heavenly Father give me the ability to sincerely love those who come around me.

HEALING THROUGH FASTING

On Saturday one of the family member in our Church who religiously joined the fast, didn't come for morning section because she had ulcer and because she was doing dry fast the ulcer developed and started disturbing her, when I learnt of it, I went to her and asked her why she didn't tell me she has ulcer I won't have allowed her to join the dry fast she would have used hot water. She was in serious stomach pains, so I demanded to know if she had eaten. She said no, I prayed for her and asked her children to get her hot water, she drank the water, and started feeling cold, she lay down and covered herself. I returned later in the evening with an ulcer drug and asked her to go and eat and take it, because I work with people according to their level of their faith. She said thank you sir, but I won't eat or take the drug, let God finish his work. She continued with the warm water and her fast, until now the ulcer hasn't disturbed her again. And she has a renewed strength that even surprised me. I myself started the fast with headache and symptoms of malaria, it was broken at the 3 day of the fast. And I don't feel anything again. A woman that joined us with heartache was healed as we worshiped during the fast. God says the fast he wants is to lose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? According to our text above. Have enough faith to work with the above scripture.


Prayer

Oh Lord, as I fast and call your name, break every sickness in my life and family.


Oh Lord set me and my family free from every spiritual bondage.

Just like we think that leaving Christ is our death, they believe not eating will kill them. They worship their stomachs. No form of discipline as long as food is concerned. Hello Guys, please I need a sincere and matured advise on what to do. This will be long, please bare with me.

I'm 27, am a businessman, I have this girl I really love so much and intend to marry her this year December, but one thing about her is her bad character. She challenge me, talk back at me, shout at me, get angry with me for days, refuse to cook when she is angry, disrespect my family, most especially my mum, always trying to paint herself good and paint me bad in presence of people, these are just little of the things she has done to me.

When she lost her job, and had nowhere to go, I had to bring her to my house, and provide everything for her, food, I change her hair twice a month, subscribe unlimited for her, I just provided everything a woman need to be happy for her. Last year November, she told me she haven't seen her mum for 5years and wanted to travel to see her, I spent close to 200k to take her to and fro, including other things she needed. She insisted on collecting the bride price list for me when coming back, I spoke to her mum and they gave her to give me. I was planning to finalize all on the weeding this year.

Last year DECEMBER, I took her to my family to introduce her, but this was the biggest mistake of my life. She was completely disrespectful to my mum, talks to me anyhow in presence of anyone, even to the extent of refusing to cook for me anytime she is angry, I go to kitchen and prepare food myself.

I love this girl so much but I still thought of continuing, with all this attitudes, I advise her everyday, I also took her to my pastor who advise her too most of the times, but she never changes.

Fast forward to 2days ago, we had issues because she told me to join her in washing and I refused because I was working on a client project, she got angry, washed the clothes and when it was evening she brought the clothes inside, folded her own in the wardrobe and just threw mine into the wardrobe without folding or arranging them. I was angry about this, but I kept mute. The next day, she sent me "sorry" on WhatsApp, I told her to come to me physically and apologize but she told me she can never do that, and why was she even apologizing, that she did nothing wrong, we exchanged words and she left my house.

Today, she called me and told me she is pregnant, and that I should send her money to remove it. I was like "just like that"? We didn't discuss about it, how will you just tell me you want to terminate my pregnancy, I told her to go to hospital and confirm it and also get the test report, she did this and sent to me, it was true she is pregnant, but she insisted on removing it, I persuaded her and she still refused, claiming she can't be a single mother. I told her I will take responsibility, but she insisted on removing it, I told her to go home and think about it, and she told me she can't leave there without removing it. After so much persuading I decided to give her the money, and told her if she removed it, that it's on her, that I didn't consent to this.

I asked her why we can't keep it, and she said because my family is bad, we support evil, if the sky is blue, we say it's red, that my mother is a bad woman, and she doesn't want to come there. She said so many bad things about my family, I was shocked! I asked her, how are they bad, she said "how can my mother be telling her to wash my clothes" I was just confused, After all I have done for you, is it bad if you wash your husband to be clothes, I left her!

Later she told me the doctor referred her to another hospital, I still tried to persuade her and she said her decision is final. She asked me to give her money to go to the hospital she was referred to, I refused! I insisted that we keep the baby, she told me "I'm a nobody, that she will call now and she will get money to go" I angrily blocked her. Later, she called my other line and told me, she went to the other hospital and the doctor told her, the cost to remove the pregnancy is 125k, she told me and I insisted on keeping the baby.

Please guys help.me, I don't want to terminate my first child, the girl is too disrespectful and rude, I don't want to continue with such woman, but she is carrying my baby, what do I do? And if she later agree to keep it, how do I go about it?

You all are just saying "don't marry her" what about the baby? Should I agree to abort it and give her the money?

One of the tricks of the devil is trying to make us Christians to blend Christianity with the touch of worldliness. If that happens he will corrupt our beautiful lives. A lot of Christians have remained in a place of outer pain and constant oppression because of this little compromise, the worst of it is that you might not miss heaven, but you might get there in severe pain. That's why Paul wisely told us, now you have been raised with Christ, remove your eyes from the world and place it on heavenly things. John told us that we can't be friends with the world and remain with our savior. But that is exactly what this generation wants to do, that's why we can't differentiate Christians today and worldly people immediately when we leave the Church. Is a loss to Christianity because our lives are supposed to be a bible the world reads unconsciously. Yesterday the Lord came in revelation and gave me this bible verse and I immediately knew this is our problem in this generation. I urge you with a heart of love, come out of the world's consciousness for they trouble themselves with things that's of no real value to a spiritually discerning person.

Dear Lord, even though I'm in the world, grant me grace to escape the world's trick and corruption in this 2023.

Heavenly Father, open my spiritual eyes to understand the danger of loving the world.

Most times it feels like God is making us suffer, Jesus was frank when he told us to pray to the father not to lead us into temptation, for He Himself is not the tempter. Our Jesus had this experience himself, for he was led by the Holy Spirit to be tempted by the devil, so he knows what it feels like, then he advised us to talk to the father about it. Yes God might allow you to face issues, sickness, loss, pain etc. Just like he allowed Job. But the truth is that the enemy, the devil, brings these things into our lives. Jesus gave us something powerful to counter the enemy. He says the key of heaven and earth has been given unto you, whatsoever you are allowed of earth is allowed heaven. You have to be angry enough over your situation to tell the devil stop here and go no further. For we have been empowered to pull the activities of the devil over our lives down in the name of Jesus Christ. Through fasting and praying stand your ground against any devil causing you pains and destroying your peace.

Prayer

In the name of Jesus Christ, I destroy every principality attacking my life, my finances, my health.

I stand against any spirit destroying my peace, and I reclaim the spirit of sound mind in the name of Jesus.

I walk in good health and I'm healed of all disease and I hold no apology to the devil and his agents.

Right there in Isaiah 58 and Zechariah 7 is where God decrees the kind of fasting that is valid outside of His Old Law, yet you vehemently push against it, why? All so you can hold on to a ritual that has no bearing in God or His Truth.

FASTING AND PRAYING DAY 3

TEXT: Matthew 8:26

One of my greatest lecturers in Bible School Rev Desmond Otu defined working Faith as "ability to know the mind of God and acting on it" during one of our lectures in year 2. Some of us struggled with such truth. Today I can clearly comprehend what he was saying, most of what people called faith in my work with God had nothing to do with feelings. It all happens through my access to the mind of God through prayers and fasting. The kind of faith defined above can never fail when acted upon. And you can't access that level of faith without fasting and prayer. You must defeat king stomach to have access to such faith based results. And that is the kind of faith I have worked with until recently, God introduced me to another level of faith. During this encounter, I saw a man walked up to me and hugged me. I was a bit shocked but I did nothing to push the elder pastor away, he told me he has faith that God will touch him as he hugs me. I was in doubt not knowing what to do, and he fell under anointing why hugging me, through the Holy Spirit I discovered he was poisoned. I started praying for him but nothing happened. And God spoke to me to check the condition of my heart, that I must believe with my heart, at that moment I stopped my heart from wandering with doubt and got focused and prayed, he vomited that poison instantly. And that is the kind of faith James 3:6 talked about which is asking without doubting in your heart. Trust me you need both faith to work effectively with God. And the first faith mentioned can mainly be accessed through effective prayers and fasting. A Christian without fasting and praying is a joker not every serious person. This period of fasting I urge you to defeat the king stomach and access the mind of God with discipline.

PRAYER

Oh Lord my God as I fast and pray grant me access to your will and purpose at this time and season.

Oh Lord take me deeper into spiritual reality

Oh Lord, give me access to your will on my business, relationship, job, etc.

Scripture never said Jesus Christ planned and fasted for those 40 days. Instead, it is instead written that He was led away by the Spirit of God and ended up fasting for 40 days and 40 nights in pretty much the same way that Moses and Elisha did when they were both out in the wilderness with God - Exodus 34 vs 28 & 1 Kings 19 vs 7 - 14. There were unplanned happenings, and nothing to be compared to any of your pre-planned starvation-diet rituals you call fasting.

Look, am I to take it that it doesn't really matter to you what God says in this or anything?

I am sorry but did Jesus Christ instruct you to do as the kings and nobles in Nineveh did, or did He instead decree instead that those who belong to Him are those who do as He commands? which one?

According to God, your fasting is meant to show Honor to Him and the only kind of fasting that can do that is one that is according to that which He commands - Isaiah 58 and Zechariah 7.
Is this decree contained here and in Zechariah 7, not that which God commanded? Or did God make a mistake by suggesting He will only answer if you do as He commands on your day of fasting?

1. God made it clear through His prophets that He does not care for your starvation-diet fastings and He will not answer your cries when you engage in these kind of fasts using His name. So, why do you continue to engage in that which is meaningless to you and to God? God instead commands that you do "good" works on those days you think to fast in His name --- Isaiah 58 & Zechariah 7 --- and then and only then will He answer you.

FASTING AND PRAYING Day 2

One of the worst mistakes we Christians make is to think the kingdom of God is about good and evil, so we pursue good and try to forsake evil. We struggle and it becomes so hard for us to do good. Good and evil are united in God's eyes. We are not called into repentance to seek good at the expense of evil, we are called to live a new life in Christ. Gen 2:17 God warned Adam not to eat the tree of good and evil. meaning they were allowed to eat from the tree of life. In other words God asked them to avoid good and also avoid evil. When Adam disobeyed just as we are doing today leaving God to pursue things we believe to be good at expense of our relationship with God, Adam lost his God given life. Adam was eating from the tree of life, because of that he didn't need to eat the fruit of good and evil. But just as disobedient as we are today, we refused to seek first the kingdom of God with the excuse we don't want to suffer, we will lose our God given life in the process. Good news Jesus has brought back that life, He says "I'm truth and life". Jesus has come to restore God's life in us so that we don't have to pursue good and evil. His life in us is enough. Walking with Jesus means you have life, his kind of life which is putting God first in all things. Devil will always use our desire for good things to take us away from God. But Jesus promised if we seek God first all we need in life will become a bonus and no more a priority.

Prayer
Oh Lord forgive me for pursuing good things last year and struggling and losing sight of you.

Dear Lord today revive a life given spirit in me, that I might be connected with divine supplies in Jesus name

Dear Holy Spirit help me to surrender my soul, spirit and body for your total direction

Fasting day 1

John 4:1-30

When I repented newly at the age of about 15 to 16 years of age, there was this high level of love and loss in God I had. I was so hungry to be in the presence of God at that time that I always go to every service at All Believers Gospel Mission, the Church where I had my new birth experience, 3 to 2 hours before each service. I was so hungry for God that I hardly went home. I started a children evangelism group at that time in the Church. As I was reading our text for today's prayers the Holy Spirit reminded me of this past, with that I can say I understand what the Samaritan woman felt like when she finished talking with Jesus. Nobody will have the spring of water Jesus talked about in John 4:14 and still remains the same, the Samaritan instantly ran into the village and brought the whole town to Jesus. That's the reason we are going to start the fast for this year by asking God to give us the spring of water so that we won't be testy again. Trust me your friends whom you are ashamed to tell about Jesus are hungry for him, wishing God will use you to save them as He uses the Samaritan woman to save her town. The question is will you let him give you this water?

Prayer

Oh Lord my God I'm testy and hungry for the living water that Jesus gives, fill me with it today by your grace.

Dear Holy Spirit dry my test for the world and make me hungry for Jesus

Lord make me a living water that my friends and family can drink from.

We haven't been sharing testimonies that came out of our yearly 21 days fasting and praying for some private reasons. This year praying and fasting will be more than we expected. We believe if there is a mouth to pray, there's a faithful God to answer for he says,"Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place. For I have chosen this Temple and set it apart to be holy a place where my name will be honored forever. I will always watch over it, for it is dear to my heart."
2 Chronicles 7:14‭-‬16.

We are going to humble ourselves and call on God. Your prayer requests will be prayed on daily until the end of the fast and I believe God will give us what we need.

Join us as we prepare ourselves to walk with Jesus this year 2023.
