Whenever a minister talks about harvesting people are ecstatic, actually some people love harvesting where they didn't sow. Others are dedicated workers who only pay attention and reap when they have sown, if any extra is given to them they are thankful. Apostle Joshua Selman says in everything God gave to man, there's a seed in it and there's a bread for today. A Lot of people eat their seed and their bread and still want to harvest. Jesus was very clear when he said to store up your wealth in heaven. The means of storing up wealth in heaven is investing for the gospel to spread. There's a clear distinction in giving a pastor because he is needy and you pity him and investing for the growth of the Church. When you give to a pastor because you want to help him soften his sufferings, you will give him according to the value you placed on him, it comes from a place of emotion and good will, which Jesus says in Matt 10:42 you must be rewarded. But when given for the work of God, it comes from a place of responsibility and is given according to the value you placed on God. When we talk about sowing it is not only about money, it is your time, action and dids. Paul said in Galatians don't be deceived you can't mock God, we will only reap what we sow. If you haven't sown, this is time to start supporting and doing God's work, if you have sown and the harvest is ripe, you will reap it in Jesus name.

Oh Lord my God as I have sown in your vineyard years back, release your angels to harvest that which is due to me and enlarge my coast to contain all the harvest. Give me strength and the willingness to sow more for future harvest in Jesus name Amen

Topic: position for God's blessings 2022
Text: Isaiah 1:19, John 15:7-10

In both the Old and New Testament the condition for God's blessings or answers is obedience as the two scriptures above stated. The biblical way of positioning for God's blessing is living a holy life. There's a distinction between Holiness and righteousness, while God has absolute power to declare who is righteous or not, holiness is within our practical responsibility. When God promised to make us righteous, he didn't promise to make us holy, hence he commanded in 1 Peter 1:16 "For the Scriptures say, 'You must be holy because I am holy.” holiness means consciously separating yourself from some practices or actions because of your master Jesus. Which means you must decide within yourself to separate from lying, cheating, fornicating etc. God demands that of you, He says you must be holy, that's to say you don't have a choice than to be holy. When people meet me and I tell them I'm a kind of pastor that doesn't compromise with sin, I don't say it to boast, I say it to keep my conscience in check and never to accept a sinful compromise as a way out. Is my defense mechanism against flowing with the wave of society. Keeping yourself different from societal norms is the best gift you can give yourself for God's blessings this 2022.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, I come before you in humility and ask that you help me to live a holy and acceptable life. Bring me to a place where my words and actions will attract your unstoppable blessings this year in Jesus name Amen.

Topic: God our provider
Test: 1 kings 17:1-7


God has always promised to provide for us, and his condition to fulfill the promise is the same both in the old and New Testament, which is that we should follow his word. It becomes difficult to obey God and enjoy his promise because our desire comes into play. That's why it is risky to trust any preacher who teaches that we should follow our desires. James 1 says our temptation comes from our desire. When the devil wants to get us he asks us what is our desire, but when God wants to get us He asks us to follow His word. When Jesus was on mountain fasting 40 days and 40 nights, he desired food and the devil tried to use it against Him. You can turn this stone into bread he said, and Jesus answers He only needs the word. At the moment of scarcity Elijah followed the word of God and God used raven to feed him. Whatever I'm doing today came out of the word of God. If I follow my desire, I won't have a story to inspire the people that message me daily. Our desire seeks fantasies, but God's provision produces testimonies. When God provides you will eat with peace and satisfaction, but when our desire provides we become desperate for more. Every wise person seeks satisfaction, I know and trust me only Jesus can give you that peace and satisfaction you seek.


Prayer
1 oh Lord Jesus satisfy my hunger

2 provide for me and my family what we need at the right time

3 give us strength to provide for those who are in need also

I have heard many Christians saying to serve God is hard. I have always wondered if it is the same God I'm serving or is it another, Jesus said in Matthew my yoke is easy. But many Christians in reality are saying Oga Jesus don't be offended, your yoke is the worst and most hard thing to do. I have always wondered what the problem was, then I realized many don't know what it means when we say we accept Jesus as Lord. Accepting Jesus as Lord means giving up our own desires and allowing God to lead us as He desires, until we come to a place of total surrender we won't be able to comprehend the easiness and beauty of working with Jesus. Many people have asked me how I was able to survive the storm that came into my life in less than 2 years, the loss of my wife, the loss of my house and properties, raising my twins and pastoring a growing Church within a short time. Someone boldly told me if he was the one he would have died of BP. You will never know what God will do for you if you continue to complain and fight any time trouble comes your way. If you want to maximize storms in your life you have to understand the benefits of being tested, trust me only the tested will be trusted to a certain degree. Hence great soldiers of the Cross always have a story to tell. Walking in the spirit means totally putting your trust in God no matter what happens. If you want to pass through a storm unharm, you must not follow your own desires. We have been taught to claim our desires as the will of God and that has opened us up to complaining, crying and heart break in faith. When we fix our eyes in the word of God and allow it to change our desire, we will do just fine.

Topic: perseverance in prayer in 2022

Text: Luke 18:1-8

Jesus clearly taught us in the book of look that we should never get tired of bordering God with our needs. When I was still in Lagos, I prayed midnight prayer for almost one year and fasted everyday till 12 pm asking for Worth. The day it seemed like I was bordering on heaven too much, an angel came to me in a dream with money, he showed it to me and said, it wasn't time for me to receive worth, but because of my endless prayers I should manage this little one and he gave N4000.
From that day, I got to know that being worthy is a must and it has its timing. I stopped bordering myself with money, and started paying attention to adding value to myself and those around me. I still border heaven once in a while though. Jesus made it clear in the book of John 15:7 that when we are obedient to God will answer us. Having that in mind we should come to him boldly according to Heb 4:16. He already taught us according to the parable of the woman seeking for justice in Luke 18 from an unjust judge, that God our father will hear us if we refuse to faint in prayers.

1 oh Lord my God instill in me hunger for prayers

2 break the circle of delayed answers in my life, relationship, business, etc.

3 hear me oh Lord and attend to my prayers

We have Many Christians today who confess Jesus as their Lord and personal savior, but in reality they only see God as an errand spirit who is in charge of fetching them anything they desire.
From year to year all they do is send God on errands in the name of praying. The will and purpose of God only apply to them when it is in line with their own desire. Anything from God that's against their own desire they reject, resist, cry and complain. As a result we have many frustrated, disappoint and confused Christians. Everything walking for the good of the righteous doesn't apply to them, they are selective of the kind of things they want working for their good, in reality they are saying God can't tell them what to do or accept. John 15:10 says if you keep my commandments you remain in my love, He didn't say if you have my grace. Vs 7 says if we remain in his love we can ask for anything. Obedience is our check for answered prayers. While grace is a certificate of redemption. Many Christians are mixing the two.
Our text today Jesus says whoever loves him will keep his words. We must make a conscious effort to be obedient and put our desires in check, if we are to work in God's purpose this 2022.

Topic: Overcome obstacles in pursuing God's Purpose for your life.

Text: James 1:12

The basic obstacles to Purposeful life are trial and temptation. When we are fed with bread and butter Christianity and not the cross kind of Christianity, we become like babies unable to take in intensive pressure. We break and cry when things are not working as planned, we complain and appoint blame and we give up too soon.
Last year experience of one of my beloved prayer partners is inspiring. He had a vision God told him to go to Guinness brewery for a job, and he went without applying or knowing if there was truly an opening. When he got to the company and tried to go in, they stopped him because his name wasn't on the list and he told the man in charge he was sent by God to come and get the job, the man included his name and he got the job. And it was a laborer's job, not actually what he had in mind, for he is a graduate, after working for some days he decided to quit the job, first the money was poor and the work was great. When I called him one faithful morning to share things with him, he told me he was quitting. I shared my experience with him and told him he was on a divine test, he either passed or failed.
He decided to continue. Few weeks the company discovered his potential and moved him to what he studied in school and he was being paid well.
Obedience and patience won it for him, things get worse before it gets better. You must be determined to face whatever challenge the devil throws at you in this 2022 to come out victorious.
James says God blesses those who patiently endure trials and temptation. Why will God reward your patience? Because he is proud of you that you didn't disappoint him. Be tough, be determined and be strong to pass any test that will come your way this year.

Topic: Overcoming Stagnant Purpose in 2022

Test: Exodus 14:15

While we have many people who haven't discovered their purpose in life, we all also have many who have discovered their purpose and are unable to move forward.

They don't know how to start, for years they know the purpose of their existence but they believe they have no clue and means to achieve it. They are sure of what God wants them to do, but don't know how to begin.
When God called me to enter Bible School, what I needed from him was when and where I left "the how" to him to solve. I sold little properties I had and entered the School he told me, I told people, I won't beg or ask for seeds, if it was God sending me, He will make provision, I don't need to help him by begging, I finished my Theology School without owing, when he asked me to start a Church, I followed the same Method and we started the Church I'm pastoring now with 200 naira only. God by himself raised men from all fronts to support the vision.
In above scripture God asked Moses, what is in your hands, and told him to ask the Israelites to match forward. Whatever you are doing now, if you let God in and do it for his glory, he will use it to lead you to unimaginable success.
Stagnation starts by thinking what you have is not enough to start with.
You are enough, do it for God's glory and watch him lead you to your glory.

Topic: the purpose of God for me in 2022

By purpose I mean intentional desire for a satisfying result, or having target with focus

Myles Moreo said the greatest tragedy in life is not living with physical deformity, but living without knowing the purpose of your existence. And I have discovered that the most difficult thing humans face both young and old is finding purpose in life. A lot of people think their purpose in life is to make money, without knowing that money is a means to an end not the end itself. That's why no matter how much you make, it will never be enough, there's always more to make.
In CGC our purpose is to raise uncompromising Christians who will reach the world with genuine love not with eyes in their pocket, but eyes on the cross.
What is your purpose in this 2022? What do you desire to achieve, what is God's purpose for you this 2022?
Do you know it?
In Matt 4:19 Jesus says " come and follow me and I will make you" He wants to make you somebody according to his will and Jeremiah 29:11 told us that God desires to give us a happy and satisfying ending.

I see, you are one of those who is comfortable in his ignorance of what salvation as written of in John 3 vs 1 - 21 is from. Jesus Christ told you even there that it is it enough to believe but that one ought also to be born-again (born of water and of spirit) to be saved, this from the condemnation of sin(Death), this as pronounced by God in Genesis 3 vs 14 - 22. Also those who are saved are those who enter the Kingdom of God either through the broad gate that leads to destruction(Hell) and those who enter into the narrow Gate that leads to True Life(Heaven).

And the same Jesus Christ goes on to, in John 8 vs 31 - 44 explain that even for those who are saved, only those who go on to continue in submission and obedience of His teachings will become Sons of God. God's Word in not meant to be picked apart but taken as a whole. You Pay attention to all of the details as presented in all 4 Gospels in order to get a wholesome idea of what Jesus Christ is trying to teach you.

He said those who love Him are those who submit to and obey His teachings... in the parable of the builders in Matthew 7 vs 24 - 29, Jesus Christ explained that those who submit to and obey His teachings and commandments are like those who build the very foundation of their houses in rocks whereas the foolish ones who refuse to obey His teachings and commandments are like those who build their houses on sand.

If your foundation is not laid on the rock - obedience of the Truth- His teachings and commandments - whatever foundation you have is not of Him. If what you consider common knowledge to you is not even based on His actual message to you, then your time is wasted. .
