As the New Year ushered in the vibe of leaving, the Headies award, trash for lawma, sean tizzle and wizkid’s brief beef and the most popular rapper in Nigeria, Vic O, we all cannot wait for the next rave of the year which should start forming up conversations online in a couple of days from now. We all know that Valentine is around the corner and obviously it will shape the online discuss away from all these drama to itself, its significance and most importantly the activities that will be involved; gifting. While searching for a gift I could Val Bae with this season, I stumbled on a piece well written by Noble Igwe where he was highlighting 5 ideal gifts for Bae or Boo this Valentine. The article featured top 5 five phones you could get for Bae as we approach another season of love and surely, I was absolutely marveled at the way two phones from one particular brand made it to the list. Really, I asked myself, the list had both Tecno Camon C8 and Tecno Phantom 5 as number 5 and 2 respectively. This is surely the greatest lie of the world, I told myself until I read up reviews of this phones and I went to 3Chub to pick up the Phantom 5 myself. As much as I give so much respect to Noble Igwe when it comes to writing on fashion, glamour and style, I was overly wowed; for him to have collated a list in a niche far away from his, much kudos to him! Now, to the two phones, credence must be given where due in deed, for a phone with absolutely fantastic with its camera quality, the suave attached with the phone, the fact that I also read somewhere online that It would be upgraded to the latest Android Operating system during this same season, I bet, Phantom 5 surely deserves a place on the list. The Phantom 5, from my experience , is one who can be said to be a phone for the season. Surely, everyone wants to impress Bae or Boo or Ebube or whatever you call him or her and that phone that fits well for that position is the Phantom 5! I love the camera functions too, coupled with the speed of the phone, I cannot but mention that it also comes with a finger print scanner, one feature we all need these days that people can store our patterns or pins without even looking while we type it. To the one who put up this list, I say a big kudos to you for the wisdom and insight. That is surely a well deserving list across all standards.

I know that we all love to use our phones everywhere we go and for some of us, we have found an excuse to take the device to church: e-Bible. I use a TECNO L5 mobile smartphone and as much as I can be called an heavy user of my phone because it lasts long, I have ensured the phone doesn't go with me to church and here's the scriptural reason! Habakkuk 2:20King James Version (KJV) 20 But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him. The day I had a spiritual understanding of this verse was when I changed my mind about this act. God wants silence in his presence thereby all agents or appearances of distraction must be kept at bay. I pray that as we read this, the Holy Spirit would teach is more about it. |

Early this morning, I read a directive by the Central Bank of Nigeria to all Banks in the country where it ordered all banks in Nigeria to start charging N50 on all transactions that are above N1,000 from ALL Nigerians. Now, as many of us may now know this until the banks start charging it and they give you tons of excuses for it. Here are three facts why THIS charge is a FRAUD in totality! 1. This charge is to be under a particular stamp duty which is illegal in banking transactions! At least, I know stamp duties are charged under postal orders and not on some bank transactions. 2. The account number the money is to be remitted into (CBN NIPOST Stamp Duty Collection Account No 3000047517) is not the popular TSA account number which was created as the ONLY Government transaction’s correspondence! What this means is that the Federal Government is as corrupt as anything you can imagine, using this scheme to deprive the middle class off their hard earned money! 3. This scheme of generating funds was not listed as one of the means to be used to generate funds this year in the 2016 budget! I have read the 1800 page document page to page in details that I can almost tell where a particular item is placed. You all can take the pain to read it too. This government never listed this means as a non-oil revenue making means. What this scheme is scheduled to do is to suffer the middle class and the lower class in Nigeria to feed some greedy, corrupt and selfish upper class. Why hasn’t the FG set up a tax on luxury items which the upper class in our strata is entitled to? There are so many questions begging for answers that, some of which many among us will avoid answering them. I’ll leave you with this: Do not ever think you’ll benefit from the N5,000 to be given to the unemployed people because it is strictly a Northern affair! That is where we have the poorest of the poor! Salem Israel Oladipupo Ogunseye tweets via @LadiSpeaks |

https://ladispeaks./2016/01/09/how-to-properly-clean-your-touch-screen-phone/ Today, I will be writing about a critical topic that is affecting almost everyone, considering the fact that we are in the touch screen age, where almost every phone user is carrying a touch screen phone.

Jose Mourinho, the popular football coach who has just been ousted from my very football team, Chelsea FC, is one who is not a stranger to the game of football especially having coached a club like the Chelsea Football Club of England. Briefly, I shall examine his style of administration; he was at the club back in 2005 for about a little over 2 years where he was saddled with massive expectations, won several accolades and eventually played a huge role in the club's near loss of bearing cum stance among world top football clubs. On his second coming, he lost it way too early, losing the staff and dressing room allegedly because of his exhaustive patterns! It is noteworthy that some Chelsea fans still belive in the magic wand of Chelsea's supposed saviour despite his ousting. However, the deed has been done and the magic stick has been wielded by the owner of the club, Roman Abrahamovic. Considering our very own President, His Excellency, General Muhammadu Buhari who rode to power on the back of lofty campaign promises and the perceived commitment to purge and rid the system of corrupt elements, he was acclaimed as the best for thing that can happen to Nigeria post 1999. Seven months after swearing-in, much is left to be heard and seen of the man who many tagged as the messiah of our generation after he couldn't save his. Many have also lost confidence in him, though like Jose Mourinho, some are still sycophants and die hard fans of President Buhari. Jose Mourinho lost a majority of his arsenal, Buhari is fast losing his as well as many now seem to find some succour in the "Wailing Wailers" club. Although Jose Mourinho enjoyed one year of success, Buhari is yet to enjoy even one month of success. Jose Mourinho used his blame game to cover up his unwise moves, Buhari is also employing the blame game to cover up for his ineptitude. We are no longer being communicated to on the state of the Nation. There's been a lingering fuel crisis for over 2 months, a free fall of the Nigerian Naira against the dollar, a continual refusal to buy our oil in the international market and a steady decline of Nigeria's image as regards investor confidence with the world seeing us not being hardworking, trustworthy, and accommodating enough but as thieves, rogues and corrupt individuals - no thanks to our President's damning words about the Nigerian people. Personally, I look forward to a no distant future when Nigerians will come out en mass and protest the cover up tactic being employed by President Buhari and his team; I have renewed hope in a time when my people will collectively rise up and demand tangible dividends of good governance from those who rule us. God bless Nigeria, the land of good people and a great Nation.
