GOVERNMENT AT EASE: FLOOD INVADING COMMUNITIES! 1865 HOUSEHOLD DISPLACED IN ENEKA CLAN OBIO/AKPO LGA RIVERS STATE

Flood everywhere yet little or no effort by the relevant agencies of government! Wow! What a country! We watch and commend what is going on in other countries of the world invaded by flood yet our government seem to be putting up a deaf ears to the pains and losses experienced by the poor masses they are governing! I have decided to join my voice with the flood victims in Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State and Nigeria at large to call on the attention of government at all levels as well as non government agencies to come to the aid of these poor masses.

ROLE OF NON POLITICAL LEADERS AND ACTIVE YOUTH GROUP

Assuming our government have forgotten that they need to help salvage the situation for our people, I think it is high time for all well meaning personalities such academic boss' religious boss' active youth groups and philanthropic individuals to raise their voices against this unhealthy act of our government. With all due respect for our political leaders I want to submit that they are have not taken this matter seriously and lives are been loss. Can't Nigerians emulate good acts? China, US Texas, Bangladesh, India etc are also experiencing same with Nigeria but I see a very sharp distinction/variations in the manner of response towards flood invasion! There actions clearly defined what the term natural disaster and emergency situation implies!

Government at all levels in Nigeria should pls borrow a leaf and demonstrate some level of respect, care, love and sympathy to the people they are leading!

It is THE FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF OUR GOVERNMENT TO SYMPATHIZE and EMPATHIZE with all flood victims and stop pretending as though they are not aware of the adverse effects of flood on the social economic status and health of fellow Nigerians!

My question is what is the essence of Ecological/intervention fund? What is the essence of setting up emergency/agencies/department? Even though it's a natural disaster, should we allow the disaster to kill everyone before government we act? If some of the money recovered from looters (looted fund) will be invested to addressing flood incidence in the nation, is it a bad idea? I am not a flood victim but I have decided to join my voice to the pains of the voiceless flood victims in Obio/Akpor, Rivers State and Nigeria at large!

Miss fortune I feel your pain cos I was once a victim of such circumstances. I had similar experience. A guy I was dating n claiming to b my man, not knowing he was just there bc of d money. I was still blind until I got d shock of my life. 3months after we had a slight disagreement, he was engaged to b married to another. I went on my knees and poured my heart to God in tears. God blessed me with an angel. Today I am happier than I have ever been with him. I am married to a man who loves, cares and respects me but I tell u, he in return is living in pain n regret. His marriage is in chaos. He has no peace!

That judgement was given when PCN was acting within the ambit of the law. They went overboard when they commence nationwide recruitment of youth with the promised that the FG will absolve all of them when the President accent to the law as passed by NASS.

so, is it not to help reduce unemployment in Nigeria. Gosh people are just been envious and wick. so because u have gotten job. u don't want others to be employed. Thousands of Nigerian are out there jobless what has the police done to help instead when opening comes out they will employ there brothers and sister leaving others to their faith. All of u fighting against PCN just bear in mind that thousands of Nigerian's need to survive and this is an opportunity for them to be employed

Dear PH city residents, the time has come for us compel the government to fish out the perpetrators and put a stop to this hazard called BLACK SOOTH. We can no longer sit back and ignore this menace. Last year we started a media movement and the black soothe stopped for a while; now it is back and in greater intensity. Lets ask ourselves how long it will take for PH residents to start lining up at hospitals with respiratory infections or perhaps cancer? Enough is enough! The air we breathe is highly polluted, you wake up in the morning and you wipe your nostrils with a white handkerchief and it turns black- what then does your lungs look like or that of your toddler? If you think you can close your windows and run ACs, what about the cost of diesel? This thing is so severe that even when you come in contact with the mosquito nets over your bed you turn black. Ok lets look at your ceramic bath tubs; when you are done showering the black soothe sticks to the tub so that you have to scrub with soap and sponge to get it off. My friends this is what we are breathing in PH city. We don't need a 2Baba to say that cost of living is high what we are facing now is a life threatening situation and the ministry of environment is keeping "shush" about it. An not a medical doctor or an environmentalist but I know that in no distant time deaths will be recorded as a result of this pollutant. May it not be yours or mine.
