Picking a credible Northern Christian as running mate shouldn't be much of a heck.


Forget about picking any northern Christian bros, it will never fly in our North here wallahi. Let me tell u one secret my friend, BAT even won partly because he is a Muslim,otherwise most of our northern delegates won't vote for him.

Let me break it down this way for u. In the SW, tinubu gat no issue because religion don't count there. SE and SS, tinubu will not win there even with a Christian VP for sure(na labour party and pdp get that zone). So tinubu can only defeat Atiku easily in the North if his VP is a Muslim. The only states that will vote for PDP in the North is Benue, plateau,Taraba and Adamawa.(even with a Christian VP won't change this fact but atleast tinubu will still get like 30%-40% of votes with a Muslim VP in this states).

APC want to win this election and not to be sentimental politically. since they were able to keep to their words and moved their ticket to the south, even after PDP gave their ticket to the North and knowing very well that the votes are in the northern part of the country nothing will stop them from flying Muslim Muslim ticket.




The idea of a Muslim-Muslim ticket would definitely be counterproductive given the political/religious atmosphere in the country at the moment.





The Jagaban of Nigeria is an astute politician and knows the political terrain like the back of his palm!

The truth may hurt but the reality is this SE votes are going to obi and PDP, SS votes are going to PDP. APC needs SW and Northern votes. We will vote Muslim Muslim ticket in the SW and it will sell in the North. You go where the votes are!!!!

besides we need to get away from religion from our politics if we are not yet mature to get away from tribal sentiments.

If Apc, Tinubu and SW as a region want to win the presidency, the Muslim-Muslim ticket is the only perfect combo cos I doubt if North will vote Christian VP or a female VP irrespective of Religion.

I watched Shettima speaking on Channels TV. He was able to pass his message maturely without throwing tantrum. He should be a good candidate for VP.

Shettima is from NE same as Atiku, as long as Buhari and co in NW will keep to their promises, NE votes would be shared. NC are the election deciders in Nigeria, SW have been maintaining their friendships with them.

Pdp and LP would share SE/SS votes, Apc should at least be gett6 25% from those 2 regions, SW is secured

How's the northeast that includes Borno, and Yobe 100% for Atiku? Even Adamawa, Atiku wouldn't get more than 60%. In Gombe and Bauchi, Atiku can't get past the 60% mark in Either.... Particularly Gombe. So, dead that talk of The NE being 100% for Atiku.

Anyone who isn't utterly deluded would agree with me on these 3 things;

* Nobody from SS & SE would vote in a yoruba and Northern presidency in, talkless a Muslim Muslim.

* Atiku is going to secure our votes ahead of Tinubu, if he picks one of our own.

* Atiku is going to get the most northern votes, irrespective of who Tinubu picks as, running mate. Kwankwasho is there too is gonna get at least 1/3

Hello, good day Nairalanders.
I'm presently in a critical situation in my life. I really need your advice on this situation of mine.
I just feel like a looser, I am an undergraduate studying botany. In 300 level due to me deferring a semester due to a Relapsing illness (schizophrenia). I suffered from brain fog when I resumed school after the relapse and lock down. I'm 26 and I don't have any skill and don't have a degree at hand.

The reason for this is not far fetched because till date I still harbour that anger for what my Dad has done to me. When I was in Jss1 in a very good school and also doing well, he removed me and my younger brother from school and took us to a Quran memorizing Islamic school following the advice of a hausa colleague of his in his place of work.

We memorized the holy book but for me it came with it's price, I didn't even have solid memorization of the Quran self to speak. I went through hell in those two years memorizing the holy book, ranging from mental, physical and spiritual challenges, which I believe triggered the schizophrenia am suffering from today. After the graduation ceremony from the Islamic school he enrolled me in conventional secondary school into Ss1 which means I never attended Jss2 and Jss3. Had episodes of relapse of the ailment am suffering from after then twice apart from the first occurrence after my memorization of the holy book. I believe that if I was allowed to continue my education back then I would have been a graduate by now and even working and must have gained financial independence
Presently my mum brought the idea that we should meet a Sheikh who is a saint of God, regarding my issue of not being able to read, assimilate let alone retain, the Saint said that I should defer a session, that is a year so that he will pray for me that there is a good spirit standing beside me that needs to be dissolved into my system, which (the spirit) is as a result of a spiritual book, litanies I read that my father gave me.

So now I don't have any skill, my Father has no source of income whatsoever, he doesn't earn any salary, he only has ND, the money we are even feeding on presently is a contribution by BOT of a foundation he founded to buy a house for its Islamic school.

I started learning photography during the lock down but left it for no tangible reason. My Dad insisted that I should learn shoe mending, that it is easy to learn and get small small change, I started it but had to leave it when I faced the challenge of sowing and polishing shoes, I don't just like the work.

Presently am been pressured by my parents to get something doing to be getting money because even to eat once in a day is a problem for us now, and to buy the drug am living on which enables me to sleep but believe me I'm at loss of what to do, should I go back and learn photography as a skill or should I find a job, like a company that can employ an Ssce holder. Cos the former needs start up fee and also need time for me to master it before talking of getting money from it.

Secondly, regarding my academics, I am thinking of using this one year or two years which I would defer to gain financial independence and mental well being, then rewrite jamb and apply for my original passion which is medicine and surgery but hmm, am already in my late twenties, so please Nairalanders help a confused soul.

Sorry for the long write up, just had to say everything.

The Obi Tsunami is moving like wildfire, in states like Plateau/Benue/Nasarawa/Kogi and FCT, the only name you hear is Obi.

A Buhári will prefer to hand over to Atiku than let it go to Tinubu. That's how tribalistic an average AWÙSÁ FOOL ANI person is.


In the end, Tinubu will emerge.

Still, I prefer to vote Obi than Atiku or Tinubu.

- Votes for Obi in the SE favours Tinubu as it reduces the votes and likelihood of Atiku winning that zone.

- If Kwankwaso doesnt step down, he will take many votes from NW.
Even if he doesnt win NW, whoever wins, will do so with a close margin.

Atiku will win NE, NW (close margin to Kwankwaso)
Obi will win SE
Tinubu will win SW, SS and NC(kwara,kogi,benue)


The only thing stopping this is if Tinubu doesnt win APC ticket on merit.

If Osibanjo is wise, he will step down for Tinubu as it is now about zonal interest and not personal ambition.

We need power to come to the south to curb the excesses of bigots in the core North before they wipe out the entire South as they have started in Owo.

Atiku has a better chance of winning if anyone other than Tinubu gets the ticket.

Osibanjo is also not mad enough to handle/face these cabals and Northern leaders and elite that will try to trample on him like they did GEJ.

Take this to the bank my friend. APC still controls 95% votes in the north. The truth is that u can't win an election without governors,commissioners,ministers, councillors and politicians as ur structures on ground in any part of country. The way i don't expect APC to win an election in the East and South South part of Nigeria,is thesame way u shouldn't expect PDP or Labour party to win an election in any part of the North.
Forget about Tinibu or no tinibu, APC will still cruise to victory in 2023 elections because as it stands today APC has more structures and resources than any party today.

This Government is extremely unserious. You were able to pay only 20% of the total amount Generated by Gencos and you are proud to say it. How do you want the generating companies to survive if they get only 20% of their revenues? How do you expect investors to come invest in the Power sector when they get paid only 20% of their forecasted revenue.
