I appreciate the depth of ineptitude of the NP, I've been a victim severally. I hate them. In fact, I see them as subhumans. The point however is that we can't continue to live in denial. It's either they are scrapped, overhauled or wholly reconstituted. Instead of taking the easy route and using the military, who apparently are trained to deal with civilians, to perform domestic roles, the police should get a total work-over.

I think this is a big slap and affront to the hierarchy of the Nigerian police. It's a direct way of saying the have failed and are not up to the task of delivering their mandate.
However, I feel the president is too shallow and military-minded. He should have instead used his tenure to reposition the Nigerian police force instead of lazily resorting to his "old boys" in the military at every instance
