I can reduce it a bit for you since it's my dollars directly and I'm not an exchanger but best believe, getting dollars in Nigeria today is HARD. They aren't even letting us withdraw from dom accounts. It's a mess.

how to get one?
You just need to sign up online, they'll send the card to you here in Nigeria.
Hope you have means of funding it though: freelancing, remote working etc...

I am trying to buy an item of $450 dollars on AliExpress and unfortunately, I can't seem to get any bank card to work. The seller seems to accept paypal. Can someone kindly advice me on what my options are to pay for this?
There's a limit on your international spending on your naira card.
Get a dollar card or let someone use their card for you.

I personally use my Payoneer. Let me know if you still need it

You run a business that largely depends on referrals and you're here making outlandish claims, causing your fellow naive ppl to call your fellow businessmen who you need their referrals names.
Ppl have been asking you where you got your own $ at 383 but you've been dodging that question.
I will personally buy from you at N400/$,up to 10k $,if you have, PM me
I have dollars for sale though. But $450. Dollars is so hard to find now. Banks are even refusing to release dollars.

Nigerian men are desired all over the world, the same can't be said of Nigerian women. Don't you ever open your stinking mouth to call us stupid again...ever ever...I hope I'm clear.

Absolutely, I am going with q competent technician to do a comprehensive inspection. Since it's a first car and I don't yet know much about cars, I intend to have one with very minimal mechanic trips.

Thanks for your input. God bless you.

Wow. Thanks a lot for responding. Do you have a range of years I should hopefully go for?
With your response, I'll consider buying Honda Civic then.

Thank God for coming across this thread!

Please, I intend to buy a Naija used car next month and I'm stuck between

My Budget is 800k-1m

I work from home but I intend to be using it for Uber ( side hustle) once in a while.

I'm seeing a lot of people say they prefer Honda Civic to Corrolla.

I had either Corrolla or Camry Big Daddy in mind before.

The reason I was avoiding Honda is because of the infamous ball joint issue.

It's a first car, please epp mai laif.

@heavenlybangs
@nurey

God bless you.

This AliExpress stuff is not like local logistics o. In case you're comparing it to that.
-carrier brings it - gives documents -nipost collect -carrier goes home and update it
Guy no ooo.
Lol... y'all need to read what I wrote again.
Technology MarketRe: This Thread Is Only For Aliexpress Shopper by ebby9z(m): 6:02pm On Sep 15, 2020
chibu4u2:
To some extent youre right but it dosnt work that way. Thats why most status usually stop at ''send item abroda. Edi received''.
It basically means at that point, the carrier have handed tracking update responsibility to the receiver " nipost ". So its therefore the sole responsibilty of nipost to update tracking information themself coz the goods at this point is at their disposal.

You dont expect carrier to be given you tracking information when your goods have arrived destination country.

It is quite different with DHL and other private company coz they have their branches all over the country and as such can update tracking info themselves even when the goods is in destination country.
We are basically saying the same thing. AliExpress should end their own tracking at with "Arrived destination country" not "despatched overseas"
Once they write "arrived destination country" then everyone can see that they have handed it over to NIPOST and packages can be tracked easily.

But if it ends at despatched overseas, there's no proof that they actually shipped the package to Nigeria.
Technology MarketRe: This Thread Is Only For Aliexpress Shopper by ebby9z(m): 5:14pm On Sep 15, 2020
Lemonz:
No no. It's the duty of the destination country to update it. That's false information. Is it that post office staff doesn't even know how it works or what?
Aby me am i wrong? grin
I think that's where the mess up is coming from. I think it should be the duty of the carrier to update information that they have successfully delivered a package to the destination country o. It's an evidence that they didn't misplace the package enroute.

If the carrier bringing the package drops a package without any documentation and NIPOST says they didn't get it nko?

Or if they misplace a package and couldn't deliver it to the country and then turn around to say that they delivered it.

I don't know sha...but the logistics operation needs better organisation and documentation so lost packages can be easily tracked and defaulting handler can be made to pay.

Emily22:
NIPOST CAN LIE O
I know. That's what they've been telling me even if I go to their office. But with "Despatched to Overseas" on their tracking page, Nipost still tell some people that their package is on the way to their post office or their city or something.
Moreover, it's the duty of Aliexpress to update their tracking to "arrived destination country" if they have truly brought it in into the country.
The whole thing is messed up.
Technology MarketRe: This Thread Is Only For Aliexpress Shopper by ebby9z(m): 1:46pm On Sep 15, 2020
Just called NIPOST now and they told me my item is not yet in Nigeria. A 9th of July order, dispatched overseas on 30th of July.
A $500 order. God punish devil.

After all.... would be better if we can hear her side. It must be something that she is soooo against it. At least last time he pounded yams.... and I guess he did all the tastings.... he didn't mention about helping with the after feast clean up! Maybe he didn't let them know she was the one that prepared the finger licking dishes.... maybe he said we... and knowing women.... their glory is not to be shared! Is something did not go down well with her.
He actually wrote it there boldly that he told the guests that his wife did all the cooking and that they didn't even know he was the one that did the pounding and all.

The reason we think there must be something is because it sounds ridiculous that a woman could do it. But believe me, it's very possible. Girls generally do this to "nice" men. The more you try to please them, the more they demand.

Yea!... read again!... they chose him! If was rotation... then he should know his turn was coming... after chopping all around for a year and a half... he had to be ready. But with one week notice?... they should know better. ... unless OP be flossing like his pockets got no bottom! They wrong him... and he trying to do same to wifey.
I agree that it could have been organised better but it's not unique to him. The others have done theirs and it's his turn. Churches haven't been opened for a while, that might have contributed to the "messy planning." But that has nothing to do with preparing the food. He's spending money too and also involved in the cooking.
FamilyRe: My Wife Won't Cook For Our Guests. Please Advise Me by ebby9z(m): 7:46pm On Sep 03, 2020
First of all, this can never even happen to me. Let's just get that clear first.
However, IF I were to be in your shoes, I'd find money by all means and get a professional caterer and ensure the guests see that it's a caterer that did everything. I won't even allow the wife touch a spoon.

I'll even start cooking my own meals.

Then we'll see how it goes from there. Depending on women for anything is a precursor to disrespect.

Bro.... you seem to forget the purpose of this committee for married men. Shouldn't the committee be the one proffering solutions to your problem? Instead of Nairaland?... a loose committee of men and women... married and unmarried... locals.and foreigners .... Christians... Muslims... Atheists .. Spiritualists from Shrines of various powers... ritualists ....not forgetting boys and girls...literates and illiterates .... tribalists, touts and trolls.... why come to this committee?

You need to be get some spine bro. Your wife is telling you flat out no. You are afraid to bring someone without her prior knowledge because you're afraid of her reactions. Your wife is not flexing because she knows there is nothing you can do about it. She sees you as a weak man. Your fellow committee members see you as a weak man.... the reason they chose you. They know times are tough and will not accept to do same. You know you are not financially buoyant enough.... but yet you said nothing. Same way you trying to convince your wife... use the same effort to convince your members that you are not in a position to provide meals on Sunday... some drinks fine... but not food. After all... is it not a meeting?...or is it a feast? They just need something to wet their throats which no doubt will get dry from talking. Better... suggest they bring food from home... and all can share.... one man catering is not good during this COVID Times. Swallow your pride and let them know it's not happening. The earlier the better.
Lastly... I guess to this point of writing... you see absolutely nothing wrong for having your 5 month pregnant wife be cooking for 18 plus grown married men. Doesn't she now have a nursing baby? I can see why she would even refuse to boil just one egg for your committee members. Let her be bro... she is still traumatized!
Lol...the committee didn't choose him, it's a rotation. The other members have done the same thing. There's no big deal in hosting people.
No big deal in communal interaction, networking and all. There's no culture ( including the western culture) that doesn't host people.

Make una calm down with una over wokeness.
FamilyRe: My Wife Won't Cook For Our Guests. Please Advise Me by ebby9z(m): 7:12pm On Sep 03, 2020
This is where the problem is from. Trying to avoid being seeing as a "dictator." One thing I've learnt about women is that once you give them a metre, they'll take a mile.
There's absolutely nothing wrong in hosting your friends or church members. Men have been hosting other men in their homes since the beginning of time.

You even pounded for 20 people the previous time while she just made the soup. How much considerate could you be?

It's a shame on your household if a hosting fails because the wife refused to partake in the cooking.

It's no longer you hosting your church members, it's your family hosting your church members and you all are supposed to be involved.

Too much wokeness is what I see here. You trying to be the "perfect gentlemanly husband."

God knows I can never be in this predicament. It's a bluepillers problem.

SirMichael1:
I didn't start my relationship on the note of being a dictator, hence I usually appeal to her emotions.
