Cherez: I just wonder the kind of beast Nigeria has grown out of its citizens. You seriously typed this rubbish? So cos he flaunted a road rule, he was tortured to death and then framed? Maybe we should pray that anytime you flaunt even the slightest rule, you should face same fate? Would you like it? It is very unfortunate. The reason these things have kept happening is that Nigerians low-key justify it. The abnormality finds justification somewhere in the back of Nigerians' minds. Shebi he drove against traffic, maybe he deserved it. That's the underlining psychology behind jungle justice and high handedness. Nigerians love it... low-key. |

maasoap: Firstly, it doesn't make sense to you when someone advocated for law breakers to stop, may be you should go out and encourage more people to break the laws just because people will continue to break the laws.
Secondly, no one said that penalty for driving against the traffic is death, stop this emotional reaction. The guy you quoted didn't justify the killing of Chima. He only used this to make a separate appeal for people to driving against the traffic because themselves are potential murderers. Likewise, me too.
Thirdly, you said "stop this please". Like it is some kind of justification when both of us clearly expressed that the appeals weren't some kind of justification.
PEOPLE SHOULD STOP DRIVING AGAINST THE TRAFFIC!!! You're free to go out there and encourage them otherwise, your choice. Lol. You're the one being emotional and not being rational. The solution is not that people should stop driving against traffic because people will ALWAYS break laws. Not only in Nigeria but all over the world. That is why there is law enforcement. I'm surprised anyone has to be explaining this to you. People should be encouraged and admonished against breaking the law and anybody who goes against it must be punished in accordance to the law. It however is very insensitive and unnecessary to blame the victim for driving against the law here because that is not the point of this conversation. The warning would have made sense elsewhere. The content is right but the context isn't. Everybody rallying against this KNOWS he broke the law by driving against traffic but that does not justify him being killed. Its basically saying "You guys should try not to drive against traffic so that police won't kill you." Stop blaming victims. It seems very hard for Nigerians to grasp. The victim will always be blamed to make excuses for a dysfunctional system. Sad. |

You had no business being cozy with the help in an official environment mostly
You encouraged her to rest and eat and she declined. She have ended there.
You still went ahead to touch her!
Forgetting that you guys were alone there. Moreover, she's a maid who must have been taken advantage of severally before Also your boss is a woman and a lawyer, naturally predisposed to protecting a fellow woman.
To make it worse, you were begging, even texting that you were sorry for "your act?" What act? Begging that what? If I was in your shoes, I'd be angry and very upset. I'd change it for even my boss.
Everything implicates you, at least if there was no attempted rape, you intended to have sex with her sooner or later.
Next time, be more careful and intentional around the opposite gender. You're lucky it didn't land you in jail. |

maasoap: The killing was uncalled for, we all agree and want justice served. But that doesn't mean that the guy you quoted didn't make sense. Many Nigerians have been killed by motorists and cyclists driving against the traffic on one way roads. We need to stop breaking laws It doesn't make sense to say "we need to stop breaking laws." Laws will always be broken, that's why we have the police to punish law breakers using stipulated punishment laid out in the constitution. The penalty for driving one-way is not death. There's a penalty for it and the police should stick to that. Stop this please. |

dominique: Go and tell that to the loved ones of people that have been killed by reckless drivers that drove on the wrong lane. If the deceased hadn't broken rules, maybe this terrible tragedy would have been avoided. They knows the kind of police they have and they literally drove themselves into their hands. You're now expecting me not to highlight the exact reason that landed him in problem in the the first place. You must be a joker Justify gruesome murder with a civil misdemeanor does not make any sense. Every understands that it is against the law to drive against traffic but the penalty should be nothing more than a fine, since it is a traffic offence. Nobody drags anybody to a police station over a traffic offence nor murder defaulters. It's people like you that justify SARS harassment of Prostitutes, guys with dreads and tattoos. There is a law for every misdemeanor, any deviation from it is unjustifiable. Justifications like this is why such atrocities have managed to fester this deep. You need to stop it. |

dominique: I agree but people should try as much as possible not to deliberately break rules that could land them in hot mess. Driving one way is not a minor offense, it's very dangerous to pedestrians. A woman and her young children (the baby she was backing and the little one she was taking to school) were all killed at once by a reckless driver driving one way. If you're driving someone else's car, try to be as careful as possible and most importantly, don't deliberately break traffic rules.
RIP to Chima, I hope he gets his justice but we'll never know if this tradegy would have been avoided if only he kept to his side of the road. Please stop this stupidity, please. It's enough. |

It's sad that a woman would use a flimsy excuse to break a relationship up and society would rush to her aid. They do this everytime and it always works.
Can't believe people are justifying leaving a marriage because of a Facebook post made a decade ago. Something is wrong with you people if you can't deduce that she has an agenda is just using this as an excuse. I'm not surprised at the females, I'm shocked at the males defending this. Manginas everywhere |

nlPoster: Why do you consider it a fake account instead of an alternate one?
And why comment anonymously to people you know?
That's rather creepy and could be considered borderline stalking.
Not to mention why would people intentionally add strangers on their personal fb pages?
And is it a must you have to flirt online? Why is self control considered a female thing among Nigerians? (even that has changed now). Must you drop sexually themed comments on someone's page when you know you have sex issues? Your comments don't even make any sense. Is the issue here about stalking or about someone trying to leave a MARRIAGE over a flirtatious post made 10 years ago. Why on earth are you justifying her shitty behaviour? Anything done before a current commitment can't be counted at all. You have to remove your skirt and stop thinking like a woman. |

Ladies are like that...esp wen they are not married...they want to explore ...they want to feel another man's presence apart from you...that's the nature of most of them..... They go through a lot of temptations( some of them will open up to some men that they are engaged, married or they are in a relationship..some men na him go still insist say they must have a taste)...esp the ones wey fine and set die....even the married ones wey fine...let their husbands check their dms...he go just faint....
Girls within the bracket age of 18-25 are always like that...
Now, the solution.. having warned her earlier...she changed but went back to her vomit..its obvious she has lost focus....
Now...call her..sit her down and man up...tell her the situation of things..u don't need to argue with her...u ain't married yet don't forget...if u were married now it's a different ball game entirely... Tell her she has lost focus...that she isn't committed...ask her wat the problem is...(see..there is a way u talk to ladies and they will open up to you Even if na u dey at fault Dem go tell u...they are too easy to get info from)....she will tell u..... whatever she tells you will determine ur next actions.... Nothing in this life is coincidental. I'm not every a good Christian in the true sense of it, but I know the importance of imagery and symbolism( as a literary scholar).
Social engineering and brain washing techniques are subtle and are usually done with symbols.
