LordPauling: No offence taken bro. Yes, FUTA has started making plans to build a teaching hospital. I can't share information on it for now. When it is the appropriate time, it will be made known to the public by the school. 3 Likes |

MrEgghead: I know what it takes to get full accreditation from MDCN. I have a document on it and I can say it is not easy task. Though medical schools have faced accreditation issues in one way or the other, but the number of years they use differ. Some medical schools do not use up to 9 years before getting accreditation from MDCN. It depends on how serious the school management take the accreditation process. Though schools like Uniabuja used about 12 years before getting full accreditation, EKSU used about 10 years (their first set of medical students graduated in 2019, since 2009) but schools like Unimed used about 1 or 2 years to get accreditation from MDCN though it is still partial accreditation because they haven't graduated their first set of medical students. So it depends on the school management seriousness. Aspirants that can't bear the risk of facing accreditation issues should pick medical schools that already have full accreditation. That's the best advice to give them. 6 Likes |

LordPauling: What makes you think he will suffer the two things you aforementioned if he chooses FUTA. FUTA is not the only University that ASUU strike affected. It affects UI also, so what point are you driving at? You can't jump into conclusion easily that FUTA will have accreditation problem. It is not even up to three years they started Medicine. Stop making FUTA look bad if you are trying to persuade him to choose UI. You are trying to bad-mouth a school just because you want to showcase another school. |

Vegan99: You must be someone who knows me. Though I try to make myself anonymous when it comes to my school. Reason because we just started medicine and most people might not want to pick FUTA because of accreditation but the school is really planning a lot lately. Well, until they make those planning official, I won't recommend FUTA for anyone. |

immanuelsize: Jamb score only No Post UTME. Candidates with 280+ in UTME (especially if you have 300+ in UTME) are at more advantage in getting admission into Medicine. |

Toluvincent: I assume the University you are talking about is UI. Go for what you want. If it is Medicine you want go for it. Don't make decisions you might later regret later. When it comes to career choice, parents' decision does not have much weight. It is your life. |

Spencerchiboy: I think you have asked this question before about picking EBSU or ESUT and people have given you their honest advice. You even said you have "long legs" in EBSU. What clarification do you still need?? BTW, EBSU Post UTME form is closing very soon. |

SF123: Since it is a State University, you don't expect the school fees to be cheap. So if you are planning to apply, you must be financially buoyant. The criteria to apply is attached below

SF123: Well, most people here have given you some advice. So the ball is in your court whether or not to heed to their advice. But my advice is that you should not reject this course on a platter of gold. A bird at hand worths millions in the bush. Wish you the best. |

PharmD911: Either of the two is good. UI use only UTME score and Post UTME score in calculating the aggregate. A candidate that has his/her O'level result littered with C's has equal chances with a candidate that has A's and B's in his/her O'level result when applying for UI. UTME takes 50% and Post UTME takes 50%. UI does not use catchment areas. On the other hand, OAU use UTME, Post UTME and O'level result in calculating the aggregate. UTME takes 50%, Post UTME takes 40% and O'level takes 10%. OAU use catchment areas (you will be at advantage if you are from South West). You have a good chance in either UI or OAU considering your Jamb score. You should know which one will favour you most in terms of easy admission to study Medicine, academic calendar, among other factors you might want to consider. If you could score 330 in UTME, you should be able to replicate such performance in UI's Post UTME and OAU's Post UTME. 2 Likes |

Vitamin17: They just got full accreditation which is why they are able to graduate their first set of medical students after many years. Since they have gotten full accreditation, they can admit fresh students this year. |
