you'd need an updated i20 from your school showing the change.. message your school's international office.

I initially applied for spring 2022 but later deferred to fall 2022 ,my admission letter is stating spring 2022 hope it won't affect my visa approval

They have also sent a mail that DHL has picked up the passport. It's really upsetting and unsettling.

thats what we received. she took our passports and gave us the i20 saying we should show that at the port of entry... didn't receive any supplemental questions email... its saying administrative processing for my husband and I but my daughter's own has been issued and we have picked it up...

I'm in the same situation right now. For an F1 visa. I don't know what's going on. This isn't my first visa either. My family and I went for our interview together on May 10th and my daughter's own has been issued since the 12th. got the email to pick up on Friday and on Sunday... . remaining mine and my husband's own...

Hi. I notice you are quite knowledgeable about the visa process. So I have received my daughter's F2 visa. I'm still waiting for mine and my husband's own... since May 10th... I'm the F1 applicant. can F2 be issued without an F1? we applied together and got approved together... are you familiar with situations like this?

F2 are not allowed to work but you can enroll in school part time or take a vocational course.

have you checked the status of the application online using the ds160 number code on the ceac site? what is it saying?

how was your May 18th interview? My classes will start on the 28th according to my school schedule... I pray everything gets sorted out asap...

yea it's crazy... no update yet... I don't know why they just dumped our documents in one corner since the 10th of May. My sister in the US called them yesterday at their US location and they said everything on their end is processing well and that I should contact the consulate here... Nigerian things are always hard... this is the 4th visa id be getting and I don't know why they are making things stressful...

I now know why mine is taking long.. Due to the revocation of my previous visa, they sent out a note to airlines and notify them of the revocation but since that issue has been cleared, they have to send the information again to notify everyone that I can now be allowed to board and stuffs... so yea I have to contact the NIV... to see if they can expedite the process tho clear my record...

[If a visa has been revoked and you subsequently determine that the reason for revocation has been overcome and the alien is no longer ineligible, and that the visa has not been physically cancelled, then the visa should be reinstated in accordance with the appropriate procedure as indicated below, and, in all applicable cases, the procedures listed below should be taken promptly. Posts should submit CLOK removal requests for any revocation-related entries (or contact the Department for entries with DPT refusal sites), and contact the CA Service Desk for removal of the red REVOKED banner from any applicable NIV records.]

I did Dropbox since 28th April. It moved from Application received to Administrative Processing just yesterday, and was issued today. What does the status say when you track it?

yea... for emotional support... he should also go with the clearance receipt from the hospital... i just hope they don't drill him too much about why you gave birth in the US as its kinda not allowed now... and they might ask why he didn't go with you initially...

I am currently in the US with F1, I just gave birth and my husband is about to go for his F2 visa interview, is it appropriate for him to tell the VO that he wants to come help me out for few months in taking care of baby while I go to school?

so guessing from the timeframe it took 13 business days for administrative processing...

Can’t remember timelines. I know that they dropped off April 25th and by May 4 exactly it changed to AP. Don’t remember if it went to Application Received on the drop off date. Yeah maybe wait till Friday to change your flight. But I suppose even if you were to get approved tomorrow/Thursday, you likely won’t be able to pick up until Monday so sounds like you might proactively be making a change to your travel plans. I moved my flight from today to next week Thursday... my family and I were approved during the interview on May 10th... did you do the interview or dropbox?

She took our passports and gave us the passport pick-up paper and said to always have my i20 with me at the port of entry or something like that... I didn't ask how long it will take to issue it.

Student (F1) visa approved by Visa Officer but on the CEAC website it is showing that my visa is in Administrative Processing. What should I do?
Let me explain my case,

Country: India

Classes start date in US university: 10th January

15th October: Visa Interview with the Consular

16 to 20th October: Visa status in the CEAC website shows ‘Administrative Processing’

21 October: Visa status in the CEAC website shows ‘Issued’

23 October: Received the Visa at home through premium delivery.

So I did my Visa interview today and was told it's been approved. However, I tried to track the status of my visa out of curiosity on https://ceac.state.gov/ and it says "Administrative Processing". I have googled what it means and it seems to be that it's for people who need additional screening and they are usually told during the interview? Sometimes the wait time can be weeks r even months?


I was told mine was approved so I am wondering if this is a normal status for everyone immediately after the interview.

I also tracked using https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ and was told my passport is still with the US consulate.

Now my question is, Is the administrative process status normal for everyone immediately after the interview or should I be worried?

You all should please stop saying your dad, uncle Aunty found the school for you…. The V.O will think you are not serious…. You want to go and school in the U.S and your parents are still helping you search for school? That means you don’t know what you want yet. Let the V.O know that you have done your research. About the state, the school’s location, the course work. Everything that seems exciting and unique about the School or the state of the program….

As in!!!! When she said revoked my heart skipped and I was like this is it… I thought it was over…. My initial fear was that I’d get a visa with my baby and my husband wouldn’t but that whole revoked talk was really scary! Glad God helped us get through that situation with joy…

Your case seems complicated and impossible but God came through for you.
I noticed you were confident with your answers. That and God's grace must have paved way for you.
I thank God for your life and this should be a lesson to everyone that Us visa is a case by case ISH.

Don't be discouraged, be prepared, pray and go for the interview.
Don't allow anyone discourage you especially the people going as F1 & f2.

Congratulations again ma'am. Your resources and labor was not in vain. I am really happy for you.

Oga at the top…but yea I don’t think you can change it… the date I had before the EA was May 2023…

Please can you share how you were able to "pull strings“. Resumption date is same as yours but was only able to get an EA for 18th which is really late
