2421 is the occupation code for Accountants. You need to earn the standard going rate of £46,800 to be eligible for sponsorship. However, if you have been on a skilled worker visa prior to 4th April, then you can be sponsored using the lower going rate which is £33,900.

If the pay for this role is below £46, 800 and you were not on a skilled worker visa prior to 4th April, your employer could consider using 4124-Finace Officers, and you qualified for sponsorship since the pay is higher than 38,700.

Sometime last year before this recent review, I know an employer that used accounts manager occupation code for a qualified management accountant role because the going rate for account manager was lower.

H Everyone, I recently got an offer from my company, licensed to sponsor a skilled worker visa, as a Finance Business Partner. The salary is higher than 38,700 but while they were trying to apply for my COS, they noticed there is no code for Accountant. Was the SOC list changed recently? Is it that companies can no longer sponsor accountants?

Would appreciate responses please.

Good everyone, please are there legit investment opportunities in this country? Atleast now that we are getting relieved with school fees and settling down expenses, one should start considering savings and investment opportunities. We can't be keeping thousands of pounds in our bank account, abi?

Good to hear about this certifications you have. It’s faster to get a job if you have upto three years Big4 experience or any other professional service firm experience. I am sure your friends can refer you to one of them.
All the best.

Thank you so much

Any of you can be on sponsored visa. Its actually wise for both couple to actively look during their time as a student so whichever one gets it becomes the main applicant

You are both each other support system.... and if the 5 years not possible, you both can plan how to go about 10 years rotating each other. Its perfectly legally if you choose to go that route

Thank you so much for your prompt response. This has actually been giving me sleepless nights, I thought it’s just hubby that can get sponsored, since he’s the one schooling.
Thing is, I have quite a number of qualifications (ICAN,ACCA,Msc and almost done with CFA too ) and I’m eyeing some top Audit firms where my friends work in UK…So I thought since I’m just a dependant, I might not get a sponsored job

Thanks once again

Good day everyone, a big thanks to those who steadily and readily provide info here(especially for newbies like us). In the previous page, I saw someone mention the 5 year route of ILR, pls can a dependant also be a beneficiary? My hubby is the one schooling while I work. If I get a good job, can they sponsor my work visa? Or is it only the main applicant that can do this ‘5 year route thingy’… Thanks

Good evening everyone. I am new here and I want to solicit for advise

Hubby and I are planning to relocate to the UK via study route with our daughter (considering Jan 2022 session) He will do MBA while I work full time. *We need advise on where to settle down* (we are putting into consideration possibilities of getting good jobs for myself and for him after study) as this will determine the university we will apply to.

He is in the fintech industry (that is, the likes of flutterwave, paystack etc ) with 8years experience while I am a Chartered accountant (ICAN) with Msc Finance and 9 years experience.

Kindly help!!

Please which other thread was it mentioned? Kindly post the link here. Thanks

Disregard this info, it is a pure lie.

Someone mentioned a new recruitment in another thread doesn't mean you have to come here to second him.

Make your findings before you post. Well any Post here is subject to debate.

We know your type. For your mind now, you want some gullible people to believe you have the connect to get them an APL at DPR yea. Its better you left like your predecessors.

Enough said!

As far as I know, my job here is done.
When the new recruitment starts, will come around to render hlep (as much as I can) to those who need it.
Till then, see you all later.

You lie!!!

Please can you guys come off all this, this is a new year o. Let's stop all this abeg.

suchsland:
For those of you with sponsors expecting APL, get in touch with him/her, it will be gotten across to you.
For those who want to get into DPR, people have started dropping names in the Department and via the Ministry, make contact and lobby. Seems a new recruitment is around the corner, can say when though.

Good day and Happy New Year.

Personally, I feel the issue of Shakur or no Shakur isn't our concern. Like someone said here, it's here I knew the family history of this same Sakur, days of Mr Tata, lmao.....When will 2nd batch hopefuls be given their APLs ? Will the proposed dates come into fruition. So coming here to bobo us about Shakur being transferred doesn't hold water abeg. All staff are privy to that info.

You guys should stop all these and let's know when letter dey comot joor grin grin grin
