someone told me to lick alum, that it would instantly dry up my mouth and stop me from salivating.. I want to know is alum is safe?

I don't know another name for the alum, but it's white in colour, it has a somewhat salty taste, some people use it to wash snail meat to reduce it slippery-ness.

what do u think, is alum safe for a pregnant woman..

although I've bought it.. but afraid to use it to avoid stories that touch..

haa alum isn't even safe for a non pregnant woman please stay clear of it.

Please someone should help us with a list of do not for newly preggies especially first trimester.

Mum said I should avoid the following;
Uda, utazi, abacha with akanwu or any akanwu food. Also, uziza ( I will surely miss uziza cos I put it in nearly all my soups).

She said I should avoid trekking and byking. I wonder how I can avoid these 2 cos I don't drive.

She said I should always sit while washing. ( I have a washing machine and my hubby practically wash all my cloths so I jump and pass this one)

She said I shld avoid pressing my lower abdomen, sex should also be gentle.

@ my sabi mamas, na for the sex issue I fit get issue. Since I became preggie Hubby's libido is on another level. He now wants to do 3 times daily, though he is gentle. He says it is happiness DT causes it.

Please advise me on this sex issue. How should I handle it?

I am a tea lover; green tea, yellow label, peppermint tea, should it be avoided too?
I have been having fever, sometimes, internal fever. It goes down when I take paracetamol. What else do I do?

first of all congratulations . Then for first trimester and someone that TTCed just avoid all avoidables especially those listed by momsie she is a sabi mama. Then that sex thing also happened to me but not 3 times a day sha Please tell hubby to clam down small. If possible visit your doctor with him let him hear it from doctors mouth. He needs to slow down. I don't know why once you tell them the news the next thing n.a. to dey hump dey go . I took and still use scent leaf but sparingly in my yam pottage, egusi and indomie Just to get a whiff of it. You can switch from the teas to Milo for now then go back to the teas (Lipton) much later in 2nd trimester. You can take your pineapple in moderation but it must be very ripe and not the core(hard part). As for the bloating and internal heat all n.a. part of the pregnancy package sowie dear. PLS stop taking that paracetamol for how long will you take it.? I know hubby used to tell me then that "babe you have malaria your body is too hot and you were sweating under AC at night". Just relax enjoy the ride do all things moderately God is in charge. All the best.

I went to the hospital today and Dr said my baby is 2.5kg at week 34 and that I should eat with care now even when I weigh 69kg. If I knew about it before going to the hospital Shey I wouldn't have downloaded that big coke and hot egg roll then topped it with plenty sugarcane . Well he advised to start eating lots of veggies and beans and that my Lo is engaged now.

Yes the pain has subsides but still bleeding when brushed, he's eating very well now but not peppery food though.

it is well with him, just keep up with the care you're giving him and stay off the spicy food for now. You can also add vit c syrup to boost his immunity and heal up the gums faster.

I named all I was given at the hospital, was also admitted. When it dried up and left me with scaly still itchy skin. I used aveeno as routine soap and cream everything cleared up.

Yes you can use lemon in place of grapefruit. I used half lemon to a glass of water first thing in the morning also repeated it at night, drank loads of water during the day. You can also chew cucumber and carrots. Did this from day 1 to ovulation. Water is very important. Just keep drinking like fish abi frog lol.

I just went through the ttc thread and I wept. I had to apologize to my baby for thinking of even inducing miscarriage. It gave me hope that I can make it with my baby no matter the circumstances. I'm still crying now as I am typing because I felt so ungrateful to God for this baby and others are begging and going through a lot to get it. To God I'm really sorry, to the ttc mothers I'm sorry and I pray you carry your bundles of joy and finally to my lovely child mummy is really very sorry and she promises never to have a negative thoughts towards you again

Please help me o. Since yeaterday i have been itching none stop like a mad woman. Serious itching o. My bumbum,laps,legs,hands,back everywhere except my face. And the more i scratch the more red and swollen it becomes. Even my palms and feet are itching. I used calamine lotion,hydrocortisone,etc none worked. my mil then said i should use one tab of piriton and rub palm oil all over my body. I got relieved yesterday and slept well till this morning. But the itch came back though not as much as before. I am currently soaked in palmoil but it still comes once in like 10minutes. Please help me

My dear go see a doctor please. I think you're reacting to something. I had that crazything sometime ago but I wasn't preggers then. I was given prednisolone, actifed, some injections prometazine. I was admitted for 3 days. They said it was a bad case of hives. I reacted to a cough syrup. Also used calamine lotion. Please see a doctor to ascertain the right drugs to administer. My skin was horrible but aveeno shower lotion and lotion took care of that.

I don't mind dropping the previous for a better one. I wanted to start with pregnacare but as the hospital was giving folic and fesolate I just didn't bother. I was thinking maybe the hospital felt its cheaper for them.

Please which is better I don't mind the money and I hope it isn't too late to start a new drug. I'll be 5months next week, edd Jan.

hello dear folic acid and fesolate are more than enough specially if you feed well. Let me give you some scenarios they're my friends and some my colleagues 1. A doctor with 3 children presently for all she took strictly folic acid, fesolate, bco, calcium. See her babies very correct! 2. A nurse her own sef nawa, she refused to take anything even folic acid, she said she was taking them all via food. Plenty of dark leafy veggies at every meal. I preach tire she told me not to bother myself that she did it for the first and second this was her third. Hmm... actually her boys all came out very healthy and fresh still saw one yesterday when I went for ANC. 3. Already getting tired of typing there are lots of them so let's make 3 me. For my first I did pregnacare and some yummy gummies I got from my sis in the US plus one fish oil omega something like that. Baby came out very normal to me nothing extraordinary. Just hale and hearty. Complexion, hair, skin, weight all hereditary gotten from parents. So nothing fancy. The 2nd pregnancy I decided to do routine folic acid, fesolate(which I stopped cos my pcv was always high 44% and above), calcium also stopped later, bco was stopped too my appetite was over healthy. So I was on folic acid alone which I took whenever I remembered. But in all these I tried doing the balanced diet stuff while curbing my calorie intake to avoid big baby. The baby still came out over fresh, big, healthy, strong like wetin, lots of hair(that later fell off lol). That babe made money from people ehn....smiling , eating and sleeping were her hobbies . For this number 3 I'm taking just pronatal nothing more nothing less. So dear just do the maths. Go as the spirit leads as long as it's approved my your doc go ahead. Don't go and do because someone else is doing o. Genes are also involved in these things. Even in primitive areas where women are not privileged to take prenatal they still have fresh healthy babies. Just do your own and let God perfect it. I have many scenarios but manage this one.

My dear, I came now to write my plans, but decided against it, then saw your question and hence will tell you my plans for this cycle, it might help someone.

I'll start my bitterleaf therapy from tomorrow, then deworm myself after I finish seeing sister flow. Will use clean point tampons after my period, will use two, so nothing for oga from now till CD 10... . Will get Wellman for both hubby and I, and omega 369 for me. Also, after the holiday, am starting Keto, more fruits and veggies, substituting sugar with stevia, no cake, ice cream or bread for me. Buying my psylium husk for my swallow. But will take apples, carrots and oats, since I no wan disappear, am on the maintenance stage of Keto

Also trying out seed cycling this cycle, you guys should goggle it, will post the link later. Then will just keep praising and worshipping God... Will rest and enjoy myself...

Will also continue my exercise, I go to the gym thrice a week, so will continue and do the hot water massage after my period.

These are the things I intend to do by Gods grace, I cover my efforts with the blood of Jesus, and I know it will yield good fruits in Jesus name.

I suppose get meeting around 10:am with my Ogas. got to the office that day, went to the kitchen net and prepared custard. I drank it with fried Plantain, prepared for my meeting. I was waiting for 10:am. Around 9:15aam na e heavy sleep came, come be like the one wey fell on Adam before they remove en rib. I stood up and went to the car park say make i take small nap for car...I just dozed off. When i woke up, na 11:20am, check my phone, na 18 missed calls.....The rest na history. I use God beg You, no do custard if you get important appointment...talking from experience

kpele dear, I had same in my first preggie. My gynae prescribed pessaries for me. I can't remember which particular one used it for 3 days and everything cleared.

why not start from the simplest of them all? just buy 100naria test strip and test first. Before you start travelling everywhere with your mind. Lol.
