Good day mums n dad's.. Its about my DS ideal weight... He was born big 4.7kg but now he's about 10.4kg at 7MO(he'll be 8 next week)... I checked the chat n it said over weight n another even said obese... I'm abit worried... Dunno if u should cut down on the frequency of his food.... He eats every 3 hours asides breastmilk which he takes on demand.... N he eats mostly cereal n pap... Home made food, not so much cos of pepper so maybe 4to 5 spoons n that's it... Am I worried for nothing? Or is there something that can be done about it.... Pls do not ignore if u know.... Thanks

calm down momma your baby is doing just fine. He isn't over weight for a baby that was born big. He actually needs as much as he can get now. By the time he starts walking and getting more active he will shed a little. Even though my 3rd baby didn't shed she's 20 months old now and weighs 21kg she weighed 4.7kg at birth but she's so active, healthy and bubbly. Also check the genes, dad, mom, grand parents are they on the big side? My 2 other babies born big, were big as toddlers but they've shed all the baby fat now with schooling etc

That depends on the interview date or not .
I believe your passport that you travel with needs to have at least 6months validated before you travel
thanks salsera

Hello house, please I need some clarifications. My passport will expire come July next year can I renew my visa this December/January? Even though my intended date of travel is July next year or renew my passport before visa renewal?

The interview in my opinion couldn't have ended abruptly at the stage the OP put it in the transcript unless he was absolutely lieing to the VO and was caught, maybe long caught ahead of time sef, or OP was fronting fake/unsubstantiated travel history. If not I don't see why one with travel history (severally oh, and all combined too!) to Australia that ranks about same category as US visa, to UK their sister country and a schengen (Sweden) experience in addition will have his interview ended right at the level of his strongest advantage on the application. Abeg, the transcript no complete, something key is missing jare! But what do I know?
.

Nothing key is missing here. One can't just be too sure with these embassy people. It happened to the guy before me when I had my first visa. The guy who happened to be a real estate guy and a pastor in Christ embassy with several Schengen visas also been to the UK. He was denied outrightly. He had 3 attached passports, he was asked how come he never applied to visit the US since he's widely travelled. He said he didn't have any need to. He was actually going to Dallas something about a new branch opening. He was so disgusted with the whole thing. Meanwhile a first timer with no travel history like me got approved. grin

please mama can you just pity your baby's liver? It's too early for all this. I've never been an advocate of meds for babies/children even adults except where absolutely necessary. I don't know what you do for a living or how you run your home or the influence you have over your husband but please look for a way to kick against this act of unnecessary meds been given to your boy. Formula fed babies even don't need all that vitamins except where they are obviously lacking in the child. As long as your baby isn't immunocompromised what are you building? Arghh.. I don't even know what to say again. Sorry if I came out harsh. But I'm just bothered. Don't set a precedent of unnecessary drug administration. As for that consultant heart surgeon he should well-done o if he likes let him not concentrate on his field of expertise.

My friend in Texas just told me that America is an overrated country in terms of tourist attractions.

Pretty soon the quest for US visa from Nigeria will drastically reduce... Believe me.
My B2 interview appointment comes up in September and I can tell you for free that I already have plan A, B, C in place should anything contrary to what I expect pop up.
What is going on presently is a script well written out from the White House...when you have a commander in chief who ahbors and discriminate against black Americans, then what do you expect as an African?
Besides, with the way trump is going about his anti immigration policies.... I foresee a one term presidency.

akuko n'egwu...story story story... reduce nibo? For where? I doubt if it will reduce. Naija too like obodo oyibo tinz especially America. Someone(very learned somebody I) I know still paid 300k for visa cheesy of course she was denied. I still have another family that has been denied thrice in the past wanting to go again in august! Meanwhile they have the almighty German visa(4 years).. majority want the US visa its a nigerian thing I guess.

POE: JFK

I flew emirates arrived JFK about 25mins before the expected arrival time. Egypt air and one other airline were already on ground, there were too many people on the ground the queue was something else. Proceeded to the scanner did my biometrics collected the printout as I was looking left and right trying to figure out what next, an officer signalled me, I stepped forward, she looked at my slip and directed me to another female officer.

CPB: Why are you here?
Me....holiday
Cpb....How long?
Me.....12days
Cpb... can i see your return ticket? I showed her
Cpb..... enjoy your holiday
Me....Thanks
Proceeded to baggage claim picked up my box. On getting to the exit just about to go out I brought out my phone to call my host. Another female officer walks up to me and the following ensued

Cpb....is this your first time here? No

Cpb.... why are you here? Holiday
Cpb....When are you leaving?
Me... 12days time. Do you want to see my ticket?
Cpb...No. what was the purpose of your last visit?
Me..... conference
Cpb..... who will you be staying with?
Me.....the sister of my friend
Cpb...is she the one you're trying to call?
Me... Yes, she's outside.
Cpb.... I'm gonna search your bag
Me.... with all pleasure.
She searched my box and my backpack. I had beans, ukwa, yaji, groundnuts, plenty gala. She checked them all. Told me thanks enjoy your holiday.

All the above took less than 15mins from arrival till I walked out because it still wasn't 7pm.

Please can someone tell me how to steam for a baby. She has blocked nostrils. Thanks

hello mama, do exactly what anugod said.
Another option I do is close the bathroom window, turn on the hot water faucet and shower this fills up the bathroom with steam, I sit on a chair in there with baby for about 20 mins . It opens her airways.
Better still I have this appliance called a steamer(will snap it when I get home) uses little water and salt. Fills up the whole room with steam. I use it especially at night while sleeping.
I also sprinkle drops of olbas on her bed. My baby had a terrible case of bronchiolitis last month we did all the antibiotics, inhaler etc but that steaming helped us greatly. Thank God for seeing us through.

Catch an early morning (before 6am or 6:15am at most) direct flight next day then, about 3 and half hours flight, take note that NY is an hour ahead of TX and you will in essence be in Dallas by between their 8:30-9:00am. Na to cancel any Downtown waka be dat then.

You fit also brave am sleep airport (toast the local flight airline people to help check-in your luggage that night you arrive, and remove luggage wahala from your neck), but TSA people go close the wing to use likely (this doesn't affect your luggage check-in oh, you can do that from any wing you find your airline check-in set up), and won't open it till early morning. Enough stress for you that is....
haa...that airport sleeping thing hmm. I doubt if my liver reach. Thank you for the suggestions. I will just jejely enter town and come back early enough to make the early Morning flight.

You guys I doubt will get a direct late night flight to either DFW or Lovefield from JFK/LGA. You will mostly see night flights with at least a stopover that will continue early next day from wherever. So, why not just pass the night in NY and book an afternoon/early evening flight out of NY? Just avoid Manhattan hotels if you are considering much of your pocket, but ensure you somehow see a bit of its downtown that your arrival night if possible, and just hope jetlag has nothing on you the next day. Hotels around Queens will be your best shot! Easy from and to airport and to/fro Downtown Manhattan too....

Well..thanks I see I can't escape spending the night in newyork. It's just that I also have an event that I'll like to attend the next day(Dallas) after arriving new York .

Hello good people. Please any suggestions on how to move from JFK to DFW? Since flight will arrive JFK about 7pm at night. Are there late night flights to DFW? Or I have to wait till next day morning? Do I go to LaGuardia ? Please any suggestions as to how to go about this? Already got ticket for NY but need to get to Dallas instead. Please good people help me figure this out as I'm considering my finances too. Thank you.

the test alone costs about 1500/1600 here General hospital abj. I don't know your location but maybe cheaper in other public hospitals in other locations. Go today don't wait till Monday. The levels keep increasing if not treated on time.

Hello mamas I usually don't comment here but please go see a doctor or better still a pediatrician they will request for the appropriate test. My baby had jaundice and it didn't show well till after 3 days. Her bilirubin levels were elevated. They had to do phototherapy, antibiotics etc just forget the cost of test for now just go to the hospital. It's not all jaundice that clears with early morning sunlight exposure. Not trying to scare you but please delay is dangerous. As for the cost I can't remember how much the whole treatment cost.

B'S Long story alert!
First and foremost, I want to return all Glory and adoration to almighty God the giver of life. I also wants to thank all mothers here for their support and prayers, this is really a one big family.

This is my 5th missionary journey, I have 3 girls and a deceased Boy. First daughter was born in 2005, and the boy in 2011. He died while he was 8 months old in April 2012. ( hmm!story for another day). I pray No Mother will experience such in their lifetime.
After him, I had 2 more girls in 2013 and 2015 respectively. Then the mockery began. Even on the christening day of the last baby. But I was never bothered the 3 girls are okay for me. But the almighty God has a better plan for me

When I was fully dilated, with one single push my baby came out shouting his lungs out he weighed 3.9kg. I have started seeing stars but thank God the midwife understands my case so she quickly said he is a BOY o and that settles all for me and after sometime the placenta came out. I was cleaned up and I couldn't walk again. I was helped to a room, I can't sleep on either side unless I lie on my back.
The pain does not matter anymore. God silence all ungodly friend who are all set out to mock me.
I pray for all Preggy women here, you shall all carry to term and non of our little ones will be missing. All ttc mothers please wipe your tears, 2018 is your year. Almighty God will surprise and make you happy just the way he had done for me.
B'S submitted.

The hair is from her father's family o, I don't use anything on it. We only wash with soap once or twice weekly. All other washing is just to run water through. Was using baby oil on it till I learnt mineral oils are not good for the hair so we switched to coconut oil. I feel like eating her head after rubbing it on. cheesy

You need to see the way her father threatens me that we'll cut the hair. undecided He says it anytime he wants to see me boil. angry Abeg, is it compulsory to cut baby's hair? Cos me I'm not planning to o, except the hair starts misbehaving.
Still thinking of how to convince the man to drop the idea. He says we should cut it so better one can grow. Abeg, what do I do? sad

How's your baby doing?

She's so beautiful. I love her hair. I think the hair cutting thing is just custom. My babies hair too is so yummy lol I also use coconut oil.
