mbanu! Cappo That is not a private hospital they're not business minded at All imagine customers :Dthat they will miss cos of that delay. For all my pregnancies I used both govt and private for ANC but had my deliveries in the private and their services were top-notch . They had this extra/personal touch that I liked. And I prefer using gynaecologists( personal choice) they take the delivery, which I know I can't get in govt hospitals. Don't get me wrong the nurses and medical officers are great but it's just a personal choice.

Same here, lo has been head down since 26weeks, the pressure down there is something else. We give God praise in all things, 30 weeks and counting... team october still though my Doc keeps saying Nov 1st

You asked your question on the 19th today is 21st you got lots of responses from the pregnancy thread. You still went on to say you're sticking with what your Dr prescribed (clomid and folic acid). You said you've already started it. So what else do you want to hear? Pls be guided.

I av an interview at the embassy on September (first week) and the purpose of my travelling is to attend a conference in US(first week in october) but am pregnant (4 months presently). Am a lecturer in a government university here in Nigeria. My question is do I need to hide the fact that am pregnant or how do I go about it? pls I need advice

a colleague of mine was in a similar situation as yours but this was in 2015. She was pregnant early 2nd trimester. Different people told her different stuff. Some said conceal it and get your visa first. But she ended up wearing a skirt , camisole tucked in with jacket unbuttoned she went there obviously showing. She was asked about the conference(medical) she replied well. Then asked if she will be seeking medical services there. She came out clean and told the VO she hasn't made up her mind yet. She still had a lot of time to decide. Long story short her visa was approved . A first timer. She went for her conference, scouted for hospitals, got correspondence etc, came back exactly 2 weeks later. Even though she was stamped in for 6months. She came back to naija and went back at 35 weeks had her baby, spent about 8 weeks. Same POE no issues whatsoever. So the ball is in your court. But this dollar palaver hmmm....

I wanted to say this sometimes ago when ahnie made observation that some people register and then disappear when they are almost due. I want to believe no sane person will just disappear after celebrating others without waiting to be celebrated through the announcement of BA.

Next time when we notice any of our teamies disappear, let's constantly check on them and most importantly say a word of prayer for them. it will go a long way.

Lastly,there shall be no loss again in the house. we shall all carry to term IJN.

Your own better jare enjoy.l ol at tinrin gbekus yes o 20!! I'm not so so bothered by that sha I tend to loose pregnancy weight almost effortlessly. It's baby's weight that usually gives me cause for concern. I've done my part just believing God to do the rest.

I had the most beautiful girl on planet earth yesterday sometime before 5pm, I don't know her weight yet but she is here in the ward with me where I can see the nurses feed and bath her....

try the longrich toothpaste and also see a dentist for temporary measures pending when you put to bed, depending on what the problem is and how far gone you're. As for tooth problems they get exaggerated during pregnancy due to hormonal changes . Sorry o only you. Kpele.

Mama's during the last ANC I weighed 75 at 26 weeks. Is d weight OK or too much? Also was advised by someone to stop taking Milo instead I should take Lipton so that baby won't be big to come out. Please your views are welcomed

if you see how I'm eyeing you ehn.... ordinary 75kg. I don't bother to climb scale anymore I'm already 119kg even with all my watching what I eat. I've been taking Lipton since 20 weeks, eat lots of cucumber, veggies, I've reduced carbs greatly, for milk I its either dano slim, or 3 crowns very tasteless something. NO SUGAR, ICE CREAM, SHARWAMA but still I've added 20kg @ 29 weeks. I'm being seriously monitored fasting blood sugar, 2 hours post pandrial, blood pressure etc.In all I ThanK God Almighty that I'm free of all that. No High blood pressure, no diabetes. So far baby's weight isn't so bad but my doc insists that I should be extra careful cos now is the time for baby to gain weight. I believe God that it will end in praise. So my dear I don't think you're doing badly at All. I envy you sef. Just eat moderately.

All glory be to mighty Jehovah. I welcomed my princess today via elective CS, at 7.32am. Weighing. 3.15kg


My doctor initially wanted to try VD, but as time went on in other to avoid the risk of uterine rupture due to the myomectomy I had to remove multiple fibroids and a certain case of a woman who died recently due To uterine rupture after myomectomy he changed his mind. He decided that I have an elective CS before I go into labor. I got admitted yesterday evening, got shaved again in preparation for surgery the next morning, hubby signed the necessary documents. My sister spent the night with me, while hubby left.
This morning I was taken into the theater and about 30 minutes later I heard my princess screaming her lungs out. It can only be God.
Wishing the rest of my teammates easy and swift delivery.

Wow, congrats to the latest mama and God did it just like that! Praise God! Welcome princess.

And congrats forzarush. We thank God it ended in praise. Welcome baby

chai sorry o. Have you seen a doctor? If not please do they will give you suppositories then on your own warm stiz bath or go the crude way like I did. I used a towel soaked in hot water and gently pressed the thing like you're pushing it back inside. Very painful procedure but you will feel relieved after I did it during bathtimes after the 3rd day the thing vanished. Also check your diet cut down on carbs and increase veggies/fruits. Take care

I have shared visa and Poe experience so it's time to share my birthing experience.
I stayed in Michigan till a week to my EDD before I left for Chicago
I had my LO on Wednesday 19th of July in Chicago. A day after delivery my LO's birth certificate was ready but cldnt get it till after I was discharged (I fast tracked it).I was discharged on Friday evening..went to vital records to get the BC. Had an appointment with the paediatrician On Tuesday after I was discharged and LO was certified okay...I got a fit to fly for my LO from the paediatrician cos I was gonna travel to NY and domestic airlines need certification for infants less than 14days to fly. Went back to Michigan on weds.

Called Qatar airways Customer Care to get my LO ticket and was charged $150.(note that I got my ticket from wakanow but booked LO directly)
Hubby mailed notarized form thru FedEx (I was very disappointed in their service) after several calls to them I eventually got the package on Saturday after which I left for the airport to board plane to NY.

On Monday I went to NY passport office very early as walk in and I met a very long queue...eventually after 5hrs I made it in and my passport was processed for $165 I waited to collect it...left there around 9pm. On Tuesday I sent a mail for visa on on arrival to the immigration and got a reply after 5 hrs..
On Wednesday, Got to the airport checked in all my over weight luggage (3 big luggages 2 for me and 1 for baby) no extra charges the guy was too nice, checked in baby stroller and car seat and my supposed overweight hand luggage..lol...
Had 9 hrs layover at Doha was lodged in a hotel...slept for 3hrs before we were taken back to the airport..got to naija on Friday morn..got my luggage and went to the visa on arrival section...paid $200 and I was given change of $10 lol...
I left NY exactly 14 days(2weeks) after LO arrival.
We are doing great...just adapting to this no light country again..lol..

My children's school have teachers appreciation day see gifts. It's not compulsory though. And the management checks out what you give to the teacher it must not exceed a certain amount of money. It's done once at the end of the school year so as not to cause favouritism in between.

Take a chill pill ma'am. I wouldn't flog a kid when I know it would make no meaning. I taught in a secondary school and the child was a JSS 2 pupil. I never flogged on the eyes and it was not true that the eyes were swollen. I asked the mama to bring her let me see the swollen eye but she couldn't. The school had stringent rules about flogging like I said, such that a teacher was punished for it. I cannot discipline without reason and that was why the mother appreciated me in my case. I [b]am no fool to [/b]flog a less than three year old kid when I know it would make no sense!

If your child is being violent, try and investigate to know where your child is learning it from, kids are sponges they absolve things.

A parent might have been the one to first slap a child and the child learnt slapping back etc, or what they watch, or from the neighbors or maybe there is violence in the house. Mummy beating the older siblings, or older siblings beating each other or daddy beating mummy etc.

And about rolling on the floor etc, children throw tantrums. Smacking might help but don't just shout but explain why it's bad to do that.

Using Cain on a 2 year old is really unfair on that 2 year old. How big do we think the brain is sef That smacking, time out, and other non capital punishment won't work except cain? On a 2 year old oh. What level of beating will the child receive at 10?

Talking about beating, just like some mamas said to each what's best for her. I can beat for Africa but whenever i beat i make sure i leave no mark on d child. Though someone shouldn't beat a child for everything there are some offences that needs talking, some small shout, some, big shout and some, real spanking.


I [b]can't even remember being beaten by my mum but she an talk to you and you will feel like jumping into a flowing river. My dad beats only when we are reported and sometimes sef he will tell us to kneel down and face wall till everyone forgets you and you sneakily stand up. So to each his own tent.

just keep speaking the word, you have tried your best. Keep worry far away from you(easier said than done I know) just try. Maintain the bed rest. Hope you're still under admission? how old was this child? Less than 3 years old? For older children yes with moderation but please for less than 3 years old leave them for me like that. I pity the teacher that will use a cane on my less than 3 year old child. I remember a teacher being sacked after my dad stormed my older brothers school for this same flogging that mistakenly entered his eye. I thank God so far that my children are doing well in all aspects. They get praised everywhere they go. They only snag is the 2nd one that plays too much and has no fear at all as in too bold. But that I know she got from me. And we are working on it for her to know where to draw the line. All 'im saying is that these children pick A lot from people around them e.g. parents, caregivers older ones etc. If your child is too aggressive you better do some checking around. Always look inwards before outwards. I prefer disciplining my children myself. But with caution . Flogging a 1 year plus baby is meaningless to that child. You're simply causing the child pain. My Dad was ex military hard man but he never used the cane on us but we were really up and doing about him. His raised voice alone sef. But my mom the cane mistress chai. Always flogging. But still in my opinion we didn't even send her we used to say behind her back "shebi na to chop cane" we got used to her caning lol. I just grew up knowing my mom as cane mistress. She believed so much in caning. It made us distant from her. Let's try and take it easy with this flogging matter. Pray always for your children. Ask God to give You the wisdom to handle them right and make them the shinning stars that they ought to be. My opinion though.
